Episode XXVIII
Pyro blasts from the stage before cameras pan across the crowd.
Mike Vincent: Welcome everyone to AXW! I'm Mike Vincent alongside Cole Haywood, and we are one week removed from Breakdown!
Cole Haywood: A new Xperience Champion has been crowned as well as Tag Team Champions, and we have more title defenses in store for you tonight.
Mike Vincent: But right now, we're gonna start things off witha classic Double Debut Match.
Clint Jackson comes out to a big pop while the piano starts and soaks in the crowd. When Arianne’s voice hits on the entrance theme, Earl Refsnyder comes out to a timid reaction. He throws his arm in the air and jumps around in a circle.
Salvatore Pellegrino: This opening contest is scheduled for one fall, and is a Double Debut Match! Introducing first, accompanied to the ring by Clint Jackson, from Tampa, Florida, weighing in at 280 pounds, EARL REFSNYDER!
He runs into the ring and throws shadow punches while saying he’s the best.
"Marvelous Me" plays as Chaz Anix comes out flexing and shooing fans away
Salvatore Pellegrino: And his opponent, accompanied to the ring by Chester Andrews, from Miami, Florida, weighing in at 234 pounds, "Dr. Big Freaking Deal" CHAZ ANIX!
as he gets into the ring to a spotlight just on him as he "flaunts his stuff" in the ring.
vs.
Earl immediately runs across the ring and runs directly into the boot of Chaz. Chaz connects with an Anix Cutter (Running Cutter), defeating Earl in record time.
Salvatore Pellegrino: Here is your winner, CHAZ ANIX!
Mike Vincent: Chaz Anix making short work of Earl Refsnyder.
Cole Haywood: I didn't seen nothin'. Literally. I blinked and missed the match.
"Marvelous Me" plays as Chaz Anix exits the ring to celebrate with Chester. Clint comes into the ring to check on Earl, but Earl just shakes it off with a smile on his face. He's just happy to be here.

Luke Mathews is backstage talking to a security guard.
Luke Mathews: I want this building secure. Jonathan Fhenix is to not enter this arena, you got that?
Security Man: Yes sir.
Luke Mathews: Go tell all your guys, here's a photo of him for safe measure.
Luke hands him a picture of Jonathan Fhenix as he walks off. Luke turns around and is met by Steve Corman.
Luke Mathews: Mr. Corman! What can I do for you?
Steve Corman: You can start off by putting me in a match tonight. To put it bluntly, if you have a pay-per-view, Steve Corman should be competing on it if not headlining it.
Luke Mathews: I apologize for that. I'll try to make it up to you tonight. In tonight's main event, you'll be competing against Duncan Aries. And if you win, you'll certainly be a front runner for the AXW Championship.
Steve Corman: I think you meant to say WHEN I win, but thank you regardless.
Steve and Luke shake hands before going back to ringside.
-----
Mike Vincent: We were not expecting Caitlin Shay to come out here at this time.
"Snake Charmer" hits as a strobe light show begins. A little bit of smoke pours over the stage. A little after 30 seconds, when the snare roll comes in, is when Caitlin Shay emerges from the back. She stops on the stage, and looks around the crowd, and raises her AXW Women's Championship into the air.
Salvatore Pellegrino: Ladies and gentlemen, please welcome the AXW Women's Champion, CAITLIN SHAY!
She makes her way down to the ring, where she climbs onto the apron. She takes a moment to talk down to the crowd before entering the ring. She walks to the opposite ropes, with her arms spread, and a smile on her face as if to say, "I'm better than you." The music fades out as Caitlin receives a microphone.
Caitlin Shay: They say it's always sunny in Philadelphia, but that's never the case whenever I am forced to come to this hellhole. And don't even get me started on the Eagles, who are worse than that dumpster fire of a team that is the Washington Redskins. If Tony Romo could manage to not hurt himself every week, you'd be last in the division! I know you guys haven't seen a championship in years, which is why I am out here to show you what one looks like.
She raises the AXW Women's Championship into the air.
Caitlin Shay: The record books will show that at Breakdown, Caitlin Shay DEFEATED Tatau. I beat Tatau which is something no one else was able to do and how I did it is irrelevant. So if I can beat Tatau, I can beat anybody. And on top of that, I am only 9 days away from tying the record of being the longest reigning AXW Women's Champion. So with the fact that I can beat anybody, I challenge anybody to come down to this ring to get laid out by me while I go on to be the longest reigning AXW Women's Champion of all time!
“Like A Prayer” by Madonna plays through the speakers providing a peppy ambiance. The entire arena goes dark momentarily as “Sister Inferior” Olya Latanya Oglovska enters from the ramp with a pair of opera binoculars in her right hand. Three spotlights highlight various audience members who have striking physical attributes. As Olya walks down to the ramp she fans herself with a bidder paddle. Upon reaching the arena floor and within clear eye line of her opponent, all three spotlights converge. Oglovska raises her bidder paddle to indicate she plans on procuring another priceless artifact for her exhibit.
Referee Brian Sullivan runs into the ring as Salvatore also enters the ring.
Salvatore Pellegrino: This contest is scheduled for one fall, and is for the AXW Women's Championship! Introducing first, the challenger, from Saratov, Russia, "Sister Inferior" OLYA OGLOVSKA!
Olya raises her bidder paddle into the air as she uses her opera binoculars to look at the Women's Championship.
Salvatore Pellegrino: And her opponent, from Pinecrest, Florida, she is the defending AXW Women's Champion, CAITLIN SHAY!
Caitlin raises her championship into the air, confident that she will win tonight.
vs.
AXW Women's ChampionshipAn impromptu AXW Women's Title Match sees the two locking up, with Caitlin backing Olya to the corner. Caitlin punches and forearms Olya before being backed out by Brian Sullivan. Caitlin runs back in with a forearm smash before pulling Olya out with a release Fisherman Suplex. Caitlin tries for a Shayplex (Half Dragon Half Tiger Suplex) but Olya gets free and gets behind Caitlin bringing her to the mat with a German Suplex. Olya locks Caitlin in a Standing Bear Hug, but Caitlin manages to fight out of it by elbowing Olya in the head before taking her down with a DDT. The two get up and Caitlin brings Olya back down with a snap powerslam getting a two count. Caitlin brings Olya back to her feet and Olya tries to turn the tables by rocking Caitlin with a roundhouse kick. Caitlin gets turned around by it but hits Olya with a pele kick. Caitlin lifts Olya into the air for an Electric Chair Drop. Caitlin heads to the top rope and dives off with a frog splash, but Olya gets her knees up. Olya throws Caitlin out of the ring just to get some separation for the time being. Unbeknownst to Olya, Caitlin stayed on the apron, and springboards back in with a Springboard Headscissors, the whip sending Olya headfirst into a turnbuckle, and bringing her down to the mat with a Shayplex. After a two count, Caitlin gets frustrated. Caitlin looks to put Olya away with the Broken Ending (Wheelbarrow Driver), but Olya counters with a wheelbarrow bulldog. Olya nails Caitlin with a Soviet Sickle (Shades of Lance Storm's Superkick). Olya doesn't stop there as she picks Caitlin up for a Sombo Suplex. Olya picks Caitlin back up for an Airplane Spin then drops her to the mat with a Rolling Fireman's Carry Slam. A little dizzy, but Olya still tries to stay on the attack as she tries to bring Caitlin back to her feet. Caitlin fights back as she somehow finds a way to hit Olya with a swinging neckbreaker. Caitlin whips Olya to the ropes and on the rebound Olya forcefully brings Caitlin to the mat with Gnostic Orthodox [Crucifix Pin]!
One!
Two!
Three!
Salvatore Pellegrino: Here is your winner, and the NEW AXW Women's Champion, OLYA OGLOVSKA!
Mike Vincent: Some might say this is an upset, but I'd disagree. Olya has proven to be a tough competitor in the Women's Division and can now back that up with the AXW Women's Championship.
Cole Haywood: This is an upset! This is a fluke! Caitlin was supposed to hold the championship until the end of time!
"Like a Prayer" plays once more as Olya quickly gets out of the ring, Brian Sullivan handing her the AXW Women's Championship. Olya raises the title high into the air as she backs up the ramp. Inside the ring however, is a different story. Caitlin Shay quickly turns from shocked to very angry, punching at the mat and screaming, before cutting to commercial.

Ryan Starr is taping up his wrists as he's getting ready to defend his championship. Austin Graves walks up to him.
Austin Graves: Hey man, good luck.
Ryan Starr: Thanks.
Austin Graves: You know, I'm competing for the Xperience Championship tonight. And when we win our matches, we're gunning right for the Takeover and becoming the tag champs as well. That reminds me... we're a tag team, why can't I defend the Light Heavyweight Championship under the Freebird Rule?
Ryan Starr: I still don't think you're qualified.
Austin Graves: I've been working hard on this diet. I'm slimmer than ever.
Austin takes a bite of a cheeseburger.
Ryan Starr: If you say so. I'll catch up with you later.
Ryan walks off as Austin pulls something from his mouth.
Austin Graves: Ugh, lettuce. Gross.
-----
Salvatore Pellegrino: This next contest is scheduled for one fall, and is for the AXW Light Heavyweight Championship!
"Hate Me" by Blue October plays of the P.A. system as the camera pans over the arena stopping at the entrance way as Danny Hall, sporting a fur vest, strolls down to the ring stopping sometimes to yell at children, then when he gets to the ring he rolls under the bottom rope to sit in the corner then he stands up.....in the corner.
As Footsteps by Pop Evil begins to blare through the speakers of the arena, Ryan comes out from behind the curtain. He stands and looks out into the crowd. He then runs down the ramp, hitting hands with the fans and slides into the ring. Then he goes up onto the ropes and bounces on them, trying to get the fans all hyped up for the match. He then jumps in the ring a little to get warped up to face his opponent.
Salvatore Pellegrino: Introducing first, the challenger, from Camden, Tennessee, weighing in at 220 pounds, "Mr. Most Hated" DANNY HALL!
Danny raises his fists into the air.
Salvatore Pellegrino: And his opponent, from Tampa, Florida, weighing in at 195 pounds, he is the defending AXW Light Heavyweight Champion, RYAN STARR!
Ryan climbs a turnbuckle to the delight of the fans in that area before handing his title off to referee Jessie McCormick.
vs.
AXW Light Heavyweight ChampionshipDanny and Ryan lock up with Ryan taking Danny to the mat with a quick Fireman's Carry Takedown. Danny gets up and looks for a clothesline which Ryan ducks, Ryan running to the ropes and taking Danny down with a springboard dropkick. Ryan clotheslines Danny out of the ring and jumps out onto him with a pescada. Ryan looks to throw Danny into the ring but Danny reverses and slams Ryan's head on the apron before rolling him into the ring. Danny Hall starts stomping away on Ryan before picking him up and planting him with a Dounle Underhook DDT. Danny looks to hit Ryan with a Shot Heard Round The World (Superkick) but Ryan catches the foot. Ryan throws his foot away only to get hit by an enzuigiri from the the other foot of Danny. Danny hits the ropes and rocks Ryan with the Clothesline From Hall (Clothesline from Hell). Danny tries to lock in This Will F'N Hurt (Disarmer) but Ryan manages to get to the ropes before he can lock in all of it. Danny brings Ryan back to the middle of the ring and looks for Halls Frozen Over (Canadian Destroyer) but Ryan counters with a back body drop. Ryan drives his knees into Danny's back with a Double knee backbreaker. As Danny starts to get up Ryan hits a Front drop kick to the side of his head. Ryan looks to whip Danny but Danny counters and it's Ryan running to the ropes, where he springboards off the second and plants Danny with a Tornado DDT. Ryan heads to the top rope but Danny meets him up there, taking Ryan to the mat with a superplex. Both men take a while to get to a vertical base and when they do it's Ryan double legging Danny and locking in A Starr To Remember (Sharpshooter)! Danny is in tremendous amounts of pain, but manages to crawl to the bottom rope. Ryan lifts Danny to his feet and out of nowhere Danny lifts Ryan onto his shoulders and drops him with Hallway to Hell (Roode Bomb)! Danny hooks both legs as Jessie counts to three.
Salvatore Pellegrino: Here is your winner, and NEW AXW Light Heavyweight Champion, DANNY HALL!
Mike Vincent: You wanna talk about upsets, here's one right here.
Cole Haywood: Danny Hall may be a goof but now he's a goof that has some gold.
"Hate Me" plays throughout the arena as Danny himself is a little shocked he just won. Danny Hall swings the title over his head in celebration.
-----
Bruiser Lazzou is backstage when he's approached by Gina Furlow.
Gina Furlow: Bruiser, can I just get a moment of your time?
Bruiser Lazzou: I suppose so.
Gina Furlow: Well, after finally getting your hands on TRENT, a lot of people have been wondering, what's next for Bruiser Lazzou?
Before Bruiser can even answer, someone shoves Bruiser into the wall. That someone is Deimos. Deimos grabs Bruiser and sends him into some nearby loading crates. Deimos approaces a scared and concerned Gina.
Deimos: I'm what's next for Bruiser Lazzou.
Deimos walks off as Gina checks on Lazzou, she yells for some help as we fade to commercial.
Salvatore Pellegrino: This next contest is scheduled for one fall and is for the AXW Xperience Championship!
‘War Machine’ begins to play, as the crowd rises to their feet. The song plays out with the white spots lights zooming around the arena until the 33 second mark when the drums kick in and Austin Graves steps out from the back, checking the black hockey tape on his wrists. Graves pays no attention to the crowd whether they boo or cheer him, and he’s focused like a laser beam on the task at hand. Rolling into the ring under the bottom rope, he rolls to his feet and walks over to the hard (tv) camera side of the ropes, placing both hands on the top ropes, pressing down on them slightly, staring coldly into the camera at first, then giving way to a cold, almost sick half smile as if to say, “I’m going to enjoy this…”
The lights in the arena go out, one by one, until the entire arena is blanketed in complete darkness. A few seconds pass of this, the crowd cheering loudly, eagerly awaiting whatever is going to come next. The JumboTron comes to life with a neon pink butterfly, slowly flapping its wings against darkness. With every flap of its wings, the arena lights pulse. The flapping gets faster and faster, until finally, the butterfly explodes into glitter. When it does, a stage-wide blast of pink and purple pyro explodes across the stage and as the screen fills with the words "Stutterfly" Starla Gardevoir, "Endless Possibility" by Jaret Reddick begins playing over the sound system!
This is my escape
I'm running through this world
And I'm not looking back
The crowd explodes in a flurry of cheers as Starla Gardevoir struts onto the stage and points to the crowd, grinning. She moves to each side of the stage, posing for the fans, then comes back to the center of the stage before dropping to one knee and posing as a shower of pink pyro begins falling behind her!
'Cause I know I can go
Where no one's ever gone
And I'm not looking back
Starla stands up, still grinning from ear to ear, and then quickly bounds down the ramp, slapping fan's hands along the way. Towards the bottom of the ramp, she stops and turns back to the stage, then poses with her back to the ring. Starla turns back and laughs, then makes her way around ringside, high-fiving fans as she goes.
But how will I know when I get there?
And how will I know when to leave?
We've all got to start from somewhere
It's like that for me
The possibilities are never ending
After a quick trip around the ring, Starla runs towards the ring apron facing the stage and leaps up, turning in midair and sliding from one side of the apron to the other on one knee. Starla stands up and steps over the second rope, then leans in slowly, showcasing her butt for the cheering male fans before entering the ring completely.
I see it, I see it
And now it's all within my reach
Endless possibility
I see it, I see it now
It's always been inside of me
And now I feel so free
Endless possibility
Starla then heads up to the top of the nearest turnbuckle and poses once more. With the fans still cheering, Starla does a backflip off the top rope and lands on her feet, then walks over to the corner across the ring and leans against it, rolling her head back and forth as the music fades.
Salvatore Pellegrino: Introducing first, the challenger, from St. Louis, Missouri, weighing in at 245 pounds, "War Machine" AUSTIN GRAVES!
Austin is in his corner ready to go.
Salvatore Pellegrino: And his opponent, from Panama City, Florida, she is the defending AXW Xperience Champion, "Stutterfly" STARLA GARDEVOIR!
Starla raises her newly won championship into the air.
vs.
AXW Xperience ChampionshipThe two lock up with Austin easily slamming Starla down to the mat. Austin motions for Starla to bring it. Starla runs at Austin, Austin pops Starla into the air and nails her with a European Uppercut. Starla crawls to the corner and Austin comes barreling in with a clothesline. Austin follows up with the cannonball senton. Austin pulls Starla out of the corner and climbs the turnbuckles, diving off with a moonsault but Starla rolls out of the way. Starla hits Austin with a shining wizard and follows up with a Sliced Bread #2. Starla climbs to the top rope and connects with a Moonstomp. Starla tries hooking Austin for a suplex but gets her nowhere as Austin counters with a suplex of his own. Austin looks to set up a Cradle 2 Grave (Package Piledriver) but Starla slips through his legs. As Starla turns around Austin nails her with an Out of No-Where (Superkick)! After a two count Austin lifts Starla to her feet and Starla jumps up and knees Austin in the face sending him stumbling backwards. Starla delivers a dropkick that sends Austin falling through the ropes and to the floor. Starla looks to dive out with a suicide dive but Austin doesn't budge and turns the tables by ramming Starla into the apron. Austin rolls her into the ring and connects with a Double Knee Facebreaker. Starla holds her face which prompts referee Gus Ramos to check on her. With Gus preoccupied, Austin shrugs and decided to remove the top turnbuckle padding. Starla has a bloody nose but is deemed fit to continue. Austin whips Starla to the exposed corner, but Starla manages to stop herself just in time. Austin runs in at her but Starla side steps and Austin runs right into the exposed turnbuckle. Austin backs off clutching at his chest as Starla plants him with a 343 Guilty Spark (Tornado DDT). Starla heads to the top rope and delivers a R.R.O.D. [Red Ring of Death] (Swanton Bomb).
Salvatore Pellegrino: Here is your winner, and STILL the AXW Xperience Champion, STARLA GARDEVOIR!
Mike Vincent: A tough opponent in Austin Graves but Starla holds onto her title.
Cole Haywood: Surely she's not gonna be able to hold onto it for long.
"Endless Possibility" rings through the arena as Starla raises her championship into the air. Austin Graves is not happy about his loss as he kicks the bottom rope. Starla extends her hand, and somewhat surprisingly Austin gives her a quick shake before exiting the ring in clear frustration.
-----
Steve Corman is stood in a locker room. With him are Damien Steele and Caitlin Shay, the latter pulling at her hair.
Steve Corman: I realize you're upset, but you're Caitlin F'N Shay. You'll win the Women's Title back no problem. I need you to focus on the task at hand, can you do that?
Caitlin lowers her hands and nods her head.
Steve Corman: Good.
Person: Sorry I'm late.
Jack Adams walks up to them.
Steve Corman: Ah, there you are. Well, the gang's all here. You do know why you're here right?
They kinda just look around at each other.
Steve Corman: You're gonna be at ringside in my match up next. Why you ask? Because there's a chance that Jonathan Fhenix might slip past security. Should that happen, you're all gonna stop him from intervening in the match. Keep your eyes open at all times. Got it?
All: Got it.
Steve leads his group out of the room.
-----
Salvatore Pellegrino: Ladies and gentlemen, this is your Main Event, scheduled for one fall!
An ice blue hue descends on the stage, “Playing The Saint” by Digital Summer blaring as a spade of the same color is shown on the ramp, Aries emerging with his back to us, clad in a denim jacket with the same spade on fire printed on the back, his arms crossed. Pyros explode on either side as Aries then spins around, his arms still crossed, head cocked in a smug grin. Aries then takes a confident stride towards the ring, eyes not off the ring from under his ice blue tinted Aviator shades.
Salvatore Pellegrino: Introducing first, from San Diego, California, weighing in at 238 pounds, "The Wild Card" DUNCAN ARIES!
Aries climbs the steps and walks the apron, looking out onto the crowd before tossing his shades to a lucky fan, entering the ring, pumped up, tossing off his jacket and delivering some shadow punches and kicks as his music fades.
The crowd reacts with overall boos and jeers, but there is the small population of fans, for either nostalgia or just plain assholes, that cheer and do the hero worship wave, wearing Icon Merch.
Salvatore Pellegrino: And his opponent, accompanied to the ring by Caitlin Shay, Damien Steele, and Jack Adams, from Hamilton, Ontario, Canada, weighing in at 275 pounds, "The Icon" STEVE CORMAN!
Big Stevie Cool walks out dressed in his classic BSC ring attire, black shiny side lace up pants and a black wrestling tank with "BSC" on the front. As well as a black elbow pad on his right elbow with "ICON" written in gold across it. He stops to look around the arena and the boos being thrown in his direction. Corman makes it very clear to the fans that “all of this” is because of Him. He smiles his cocky smile, then double thumb points to himself, taps his right index finger on his temple and slowly pans his left hand, index finger extended, around the arena; indicating that he’s smarter than each and every one of them, then Corman slowly raises his arms over his head, making the trademark Highrollers hand gesture (basically the wolfpack, while moving his thumbs around in the international sign for MONEY). He makes his way to the ring, as the A-Hole High Rollers fans cheer and do the "Icon" worship wave as Corman nods, points, and smiles at the camera. He climbs the stairs, planting each foot, and walks across the apron. He stops and demands that the ring announcer opens the ropes for him. Felicia shrugs at the referee and quickly scrambles over and holds open the ropes as Corman enters the ring. Corman smirks and again repeats the High Rollers hand gesture by the ropes.
vs.
Duncan looks around at the Steve Corman guys at ringside who are scanning the arena, and doesn't even seem to care that they're there as he hits Steve with a roundhouse kick. Duncan hooks Steve for a suplex. Duncan runs the ropes only to be slammed to the mat by Steve with a Front Spinebuster. Steve stays in control as he delivers a Triple German Suplex. Duncan gets back to his feet only to be taken back down with a Spinning Sidewalk Slam. Duncan gets up in the corner and gets crushed by a body splash, before being hit by back elbows and being pulled out with an Icon-Plex (Exploder Suplex). Steve ascends the turnbuckles. Steve removes his elbow pad and tosses it into the crowd before jumping off with a Superstar Elbow (Test-esk flying elbow), but Duncan moved out of the way. Duncan now targets Steve's arm, stomping on it and knee dropping it. Duncan throws Steve shoulder first into the ring post, then pulls him back in for a back suplex. As Steve gets back to his feet Duncan nails him with an Enter Gideon (Beautiful Disaster Kick). Duncan tries to lift Steve for The Culmination (Front slam pickup swung into a Rock Bottom), but Steve fights out and drops Duncan to the mat with a Leg Hook Chokeslam. Steve throws Duncan out of the ring and he lands on the floor by Jack Adams. Steve keeps referee Matt Baker preoccupied as Jack looks to take advantage of Duncan but Duncan out of nowhere throws Jack into the ring steps. Duncan slides back into the ring and takes Steve down with a snap powerslam. Duncan runs the ropes and dives out of the ring onto Damien with a suicide dive. Duncan then sends Damien into the ringpost. Before Caitlin can even think to do anything, Jonathan Fhenix pops up from behind the barricade and bonks her over the head with a chair. Jonathan and Duncan get into the ring and Jonathan hits Steve in the gut with a steel chair, ending the match in a disqualification.
Mike Vincent: What's he doing here?!
Cole Haywood: Bringing down Steve Corman, obviously.
Duncan comically winds his arm up before punching Steve as hard as he can in the face. Some of the "Truthers" in the crowd start up a "Down goes Corman!" chant. Before the Alliance of Truth can do too much more damage, security starts to flood the arena and Duncan and Jonathan hightail out of the ring and run through the crowd, as the security chases them. Caitlin, Jack, and Damien come to and enter the ring to check on Steve, who informs them he's fine as we fade to black.
