Episode XXVII
Pyro blasts from the stage and ramp before the cameras pan across the crowd.
Lily Luna: Welcome to the Alternative! For you Before the Bell fans who have been wondering where the show is, it's currently on hiatus as Zoey Mathews-Mitchell has not been in a clear mindset as of late.
Chris Pierce: I believe we're going to hear from Janet Hurricane tonight about why she attacked Zoey, but right now we're kicking off with some action!
Sam De Santa walks out onto the stage. She stands with her hand on her hip as out walks Trent Mathews behind her. He steps in front of her and drops to his knees, spreading his arms out as pyro drips down from the top of the jumbotron.
Jen Brunelli: This opening contest is set for one fall! Introducing first, accompanied to the ring by Sam De Santa, from Owasco, New York, weighing in at 217 pounds, TRENT MATHEWS!
Trent walks down the ramp with SDS following him. He climbs up onto the apron and holds the ropes open for Sam who walks up the steps. Trent climbs a turnbuckle and raises his hands in the air, Sam pointing at her client and deeming that he will be the next AXW Light Heavyweight Champion.
Jen Brunelli: And his opponent, from--
Danny Hall walks out and cuts Jen off.
Danny Hall: Hold on just a second. I will not be competing against Trent tonight because my... uhh.. best friend's goldfish died, and I have to attend his funeral. In my place tonight will be the lesser AXW Light Heavyweight Champion, Acer Stone!
‘Invincible’ by Adelitas Way hits and Acer Stone runs out from the back looking pumped up and energetic. He snags the Light Heavyweight Championship from Danny Hall, then heads down the ramp and punches the air three times as red pyros go off at the top of the ramp behind him.
Jen Brunelli: And his opponent, from Tampa, Florida, weighing in at 165 pounds, he is the co-holder of the AXW Light Heavyweight Championship, ACER STONE!
Acer heads over to the fans and slaps hands with them as he gets to the ring. He climbs into the ring and works the crowd a little more before they join him in punching the air three times.
vs.
Non-Title
The two share a quick handshake before locking up with Trent taking Acer down with a leg trip. Trent picks Acer up for a back suplex. Trent lifts Acer up for a vertical suplex, but Acer knees Trent in the head and suplexes Trent instead. They get back up and Acer plants Trent with a flapjack. Acer rocks Trent with a Discus Elbow Smash then nails him with an enzuigiri. Acer gets a two count after a Rolling Senton. Acer brings Trent to his feet and Trent hits Acer with a European Uppercut immediately followed by a Rolling Elbow. Trent slams Acer to the mat with a Zigzag. Trent lifts Acer up for a T-Bone Suplex. Trent drives Acer across his knee with a Uranage Backbreaker. Trent gets a two count off of it, and climbs to the top rope. The incredibly quick Acer meets Trent up there and immediately brings him to the mat with a Super Bulldog! Acer connects with a Spinning Neckbreaker and heads to the top rope. Acer punches the air three times before leaping off with the Shooting Star Elbow Drop, and the fans count to three, but referee Jessie McCormick is distracted by Sam De Santa who climbed onto the apron. Acer realizes the referee is not pinning and gets back up, as SDS climbs off the apron. Acer heads out to the apron and looks to deliver a Springboard Hurricanrana but Trent catches him for a sit-out powerbomb! Acer rolls out to the apron holding his back. Trent follows him to the apron, lifts him to his feet and runs up the turnbuckles, as the two crash to the floor with a Trent the Ninja (Shiranui) off the apron. Trent climbs onto the commentator's table and dives off with Trent's Twist (Corkscrew Senton) onto Acer. Trent rolls Acer into the ring who crawls to a corner to pull himself to the feet. Trent allows little breathing room as he comes in with a Swinging Corner Clothesline, and stays out onto the apron, leaping back in with the Altrentative (Springboard Cutter)! Trent gets the pinfall victory.
Jen Brunelli: Here is your winner, TRENT MATHEWS!
Lily Luna: Trent's first match back from injury, and he picks up the W with a little help from his new manager, though we're not sure why the two aligned in the first place.
Chris Pierce: Regardless of why they aligned, it's effective as Trent picks up a victory, but we all know he would have preferred Danny Hall over Acer Stone.
"Dammit" rings throughout the arena as Sam enters the ring and raises Trent's hand. The two get floored by Danny Hall from out of nowhere! Danny drops Trent to the mat with the Hallway to Hell (Roode Bomb) and exits the ring before Sam can get a hand on him, backing up the ramp with his hands out in a sarcastic manner, wanting no part of De Santa.
-----
We cut to backstage where we see an all business Janet Hurricane looking straight at the camera
Janet Hurricane: People keep asking me, “Why?” Why did I brutally attack Zoey Mathews-Mitchell, the sister of my boyfriend Luke and someone who has been supporting me since day one? Well the truth is Zoey Mathews is like Hailey Harris, a fake and pretentious bimbo who pretended to be a friend of mine but in reality has been talking trash behind my back. I do not want to say the other b word, but I have learned that Zoey never treated me with respect that I deserved. That’s right…NEVER! Just like the rest of these idiots in the back and I’m not just talking about the women’s division, Zoey believes that I don’t belong in Alternative Xperience Wrestling and the only reason why I’m here and have gotten all of the opportunities in AXW is because who I’m dating. And you know what I say to people like Zoey? F*CK YOU! F*CK EACH AND EVERY ONE OF YOU! I’m sick and tired of these whispers and the rumours and for now on, I’m taking down my critics and cementing my own legacy…starting with my boyfriend’s sister. Zoey, I never liked you and I never will. If anyone that was given opportunities after opportunities that they didn’t deserve, it’s you. I don’t care if you’re Luke’s baby sister because I want to make an example out of you. And that goes to you too Velvet Valentine. You stupid blonde BITCH, next time you stick your nose where it doesn’t belong, I will shove it up Leland’s ass! Matter of fact, I’m calling out all of the Takeover members! I don’t care anymore. I’m tired of the bullshit that is going on in AXW and ladies and gentlemen, it’s time for all of you to…FEEL MY WRATH.
Janet snarls at the camera before leaving

Jen Brunelli: This next contest is set for one fall, and is for the AXW Xperience Championship!
The lights in the arena go out, one by one, until the entire arena is blanketed in complete darkness. A few seconds pass of this, the crowd cheering loudly, eagerly awaiting whatever is going to come next. The JumboTron comes to life with a neon pink butterfly, slowly flapping its wings against darkness. With every flap of its wings, the arena lights pulse. The flapping gets faster and faster, until finally, the butterfly explodes into glitter. When it does, a stage-wide blast of pink and purple pyro explodes across the stage and as the screen fills with the words "Stutterfly" Starla Gardevoir, "Endless Possibility" by Jaret Reddick begins playing over the sound system!
This is my escape
I'm running through this world
And I'm not looking back
The crowd explodes in a flurry of cheers as Starla Gardevoir struts onto the stage and points to the crowd, grinning. She moves to each side of the stage, posing for the fans, then comes back to the center of the stage before dropping to one knee and posing as a shower of pink pyro begins falling behind her!
'Cause I know I can go
Where no one's ever gone
And I'm not looking back
Starla stands up, still grinning from ear to ear, and then quickly bounds down the ramp, slapping fan's hands along the way. Towards the bottom of the ramp, she stops and turns back to the stage, then poses with her back to the ring. Starla turns back and laughs, then makes her way around ringside, high-fiving fans as she goes.
But how will I know when I get there?
And how will I know when to leave?
We've all got to start from somewhere
It's like that for me
The possibilities are never ending
After a quick trip around the ring, Starla runs towards the ring apron facing the stage and leaps up, turning in midair and sliding from one side of the apron to the other on one knee. Starla stands up and steps over the second rope, then leans in slowly, showcasing her butt for the cheering male fans before entering the ring completely.
I see it, I see it
And now it's all within my reach
Endless possibility
I see it, I see it now
It's always been inside of me
And now I feel so free
Endless possibility
Starla then heads up to the top of the nearest turnbuckle and poses once more. With the fans still cheering, Starla does a backflip off the top rope and lands on her feet, then walks over to the corner across the ring and leans against it, rolling her head back and forth as the music fades.
The fans and Starla wait in anticipation for who the opponent is, and perhaps don't expect to hear this music...
Several seconds after "Heavy" by Collective Soul begins to play, Kurt Hullum makes his way out onto the stage. He hops from foot to foot, getting amped up for his performance. He begins to make his way down to the ring, and around the 21/22 second mark of the song, when there's that very short pause before the verse starts, Kurt stops dead in his tracks and raises his Money in the Bank briefcase into the air. Shortly after the verse starts, Kurt continues his path to the ring, walking up the ring steps, walks across the ring apron towards the far ring post, and steps onto the second turnbuckle. He stares at Starla before slowly raising the MitB briefcase once more, before stepping onto the top rope and dropping down into the ring. Hullum makes his way to a corner, steps onto the second turnbuckle, and raises the briefcase once again. He steps down, and does any last minute stretching before the match begins.
Jen Brunelli: Introducing first, the challenger, representing the Blazenwing Wrestling Federation, from Santa Monica, California, weighing in at 236 pounds, he is the holder of the BWF Money in the Bank Briefcase, KURT HULLUM!
Kurt raises his briefcase into the air.
Jen Brunelli: And his opponent, from Panama City, Florida, she is the defending AXW Xperience Champion, "Stutterfly" STARLA GARDEVOIR!
Starla raises her title into the air, not to be outdone by Kurt.
Lily Luna: BWF's Kurt Hullum finds himself in an interesting position, because if he wins the Xperience Championship and holds onto it for 90 days, he can cash in that and his BWF Money in the Bank Contract to try to win the AXW and BWF World Championships respectively.
Chris Pierce: He has the talent to win both those titles, and could very well be the first person to hold the AXW and BWF World Titles simultaneously, but first he has to actually defeat Starla Gardevoir and she's not gonna go down easy.
vs.
AXW Xperience Championship
Kurt looks for a test of strength, Starla grabs the first hand, but knows darn well she won't win, so throws some kicks to the side of Kurt, and one to the gut, before bringing him down with a Corkscrew Neckbreaker. Kurt gets to his feet and knees Starla in the gut, and throws a couple of forearm strikes. Kurt forcefully brings Starla to the mat with an STO. Kurt delivers a knee drop followed by an elbow drop, and tries to lock in a Crossface but Starla gets to the ropes. Kurt slams Starla down with a Snap Belly to Back Suplex. Kurt runs at Starla looking for a clothesline, Starla ducks it and Kurt springboards off the bottom rope hitting Starla with a back elbow. Kurt hooks Starla for a Crash Landing (Snapmare Driver), but Starla pushes him off. Kurt runs the ropes and gets nailed with a dropkick from Starla. Starla takes Kurt down with a Double Tilt-a-Whirl Headscissors Takeover. Starla quickly hops up to the top turnbuckle and dives off with a Flying Overcastle Neckbreaker, Kurt kicking out at two. Starla climbs back up the turnbuckles and comes off with a Moonstomp this time, another two count. Starla tries to lock Kurt in It's Super Effective! (Black Widow Submission), but Kurt prevents it from getting locked in and instead spins Starla around for Turbulence (Airplane Spin), then plants her with the Crash Landing, getting a two count. Kurt quickly then locks Starla in the World of Kurt (Gogoplata)! The crowd is on their feet as they realize Starla is in true danger of losing her championship, and looks to be on the verge of tapping, but manages to get her foot on the bottom rope. Kurt sets Starla up for the Kurtain Kall (Hangman's Facebuster), but Starla gets free and tries to bring Kurt to the mat with a backslide, but Kurt doesn't budge. Kurt stuns Starla with a European Uppercut, and lifts her up for California Dreaming (Omega Driver)! But Starla counters with a hurricanrana! The two get up and Kurt tries for a clothesline which Starla ducks, Starla now springboarding off the rope and planting Kurt with the 343 Guilty Spark (Tornado DDT)! Starla climbs back up top and dives off with R.R.O.D. [Red Ring of Death] (Swanton Bomb), holding onto her title for another night.
Jen Brunelli: Here is your winner, and STILL the AXW Xperience Champion, STARLA GARDEVOIR!
Lily Luna: Somehow, someway, Starla Gardevoir holds onto the Xperience Championship.
Chris Pierce: I truly thought Kurt Hullum was going to leave as Xperience Champion, but the veteran Starla dug down deep to retain the championship she's been fighting her ass off to hold onto.
"Endless Possibility" plays throughout the arena as Starla is slow to her feet. Gus Ramos hands her the Xperience Championship which she holds up with pride. We can hear her say, "I got twenty days left, nobody is gonna be taking this from me!"

We return from commercials to an eerie undisclosed part of the arena.
Deimos: We fought all over the arena in Calgary. You won the battle, but you certainly did not win the war. The powers that be say that after our match at Winterslam that neither of us are cleared to compete. They can delay the inevitable all they want, but sooner rather than later, they will be the ones who will be paying for the funeral services of you, Lenny "Bruiser" Lazzou. Once that fire inside you finally dies out, you will too, and I will be the one to extinguish that fire.
Deimos holds up a lit match, and just engulfs it in his hand, upon opening his hand the match is no longer burning and is snapped in two.
-----
‘War Machine’ begins to play, as the crowd rises to their feet. The song plays out with the white spots lights zooming around the arena until the 33 second mark when the drums kick in and Austin Graves steps out from the back, checking the black hockey tape on his wrists.
Jen Brunelli: This next tag team contest is set for one fall! Introducing first, from St. Louis, Missouri, weighing in at 245 pounds, War Horse member, "War Machine" AUSTIN GRAVES!
Graves pays no attention to the crowd whether they boo or cheer him, and he’s focused like a laser beam on the task at hand. Rolling into the ring under the bottom rope, he rolls to his feet and walks over to the hard (tv) camera side of the ropes, placing both hands on the top ropes, pressing down on them slightly, staring coldly into the camera at first, then giving way to a cold, almost sick half smile as if to say, “I’m going to enjoy this…”
As Footsteps by Pop Evil begins to blare through the speakers of the arena, Ryan comes out from behind the curtain. He stands and looks out into the crowd.
Jen Brunelli: And his partner, from Tampa Florida, weighing in at 195 pounds, War Horse member, "The World Class Workhorse" RYAN STARR!
He then runs down the ramp, hitting hands with the fans and slides into the ring. Then he goes up onto the ropes and bounces on them, trying to get the fans all hyped up for the match. He then jumps in the ring a little to get warped up to face his opponent.
Lily Luna: Well this is a nice surprise! Welcome back!
The energetic opening to “I Can't Drive 55” hits the speakers as out stomps the Cross City Stallions looking cocky aggressive and ready to roll! They strike a pose in a similar fashion to DX and throw up the 'cross' arm sign as a shoutout to their hometown on their way out and then Marky Mustang strikes a one knee kneeling pose while his brother Max Maximus stands behind him, unleashing a primal scream as the two throw their arms out and pose.
Jen Brunelli: And their opponents, from Cross City, Florida, at a combined weight of 503 pounds, the team of Marky Mustang and "Mammoth" Max Maximus, CROSS CITY STALLIONS!
The two then walk down to the ring chewing gum and not really giving a damn how the crowd is reaction either way as they slide into the ring and ready for the match.
vs.
The match starts off with Austin and Marky, Marky taking Austin to the mat with a side headlock takedown. The two get up and Marky ducks a clothesline, taking Austin back down with a German suplex. Marky lifts Austin up for a scoop slam, but Austin slips out of it and plants Marky with an inverted DDT. Austin runs the ropes and takes Marky down with a Running Stiff Arm Lariat. Upon getting up Marky is taken back down with a Double Knee Facebreaker, followed by a Standing somersault legdrop. Austin lifts Marky onto his shoulders and tags in Ryan. Austin slams Marky with a Rolling Fireman's Carry as Ryan springboards in with an elbow drop. Ryan looks for an enzuigiri but Marky ducks it and nails Ryan with a Picture Perfect Dropkick. Marky delivers an explodes suplex into the CCS corner and tags in Max. Max lifts Ryan up and lets him free fall with a Military Press. Max sends Ryan across the ring with a Two Handed Choke Toss, which leads to Ryan tagging out to Austin. Austin runs in at Max but gets planted with a Blackhole Slam. Max lifts Austin up for Maximum Impact! (Trainwreck), but drops him when both he and Marky see a live feed on the jumbotron that stun them. It's a shot of Luke Mathews' office, where he's seated at his desk with a man sitting on the other side.
Luke Mathews: Alright, Mason, just sign this and we'll be all set.
The man who is apparently named Mason signs what can only be assumed to be some kind of contract.
Luke Mathews: It's official. Welcome to AXW. I'm sure your brothers will be delighted to see you. What was the name you wanted to go by again?
Mayhem: Mayhem.
Luke Mathews: I like it. Edgy and to the point. Your brothers are in a match right now, I'm sure you could catch it on a monitor if you're quick enough.
Meanwhile in the arena, Austin rolls up Max for the three count.
Jen Brunelli: Here are your winners, WAR HORSE!
Lily Luna: War Horse pick up a win after Max and Marky got distracted by what is apparently their brother signing an AXW contract.
Chris Pierce: They look like they saw a ghost, not sure what this situation is.
"War Machine" plays as Austin and Ryan celebrate their win. Max and Marky quickly get to the back as we cut backstage.
-----
All four members of the Takeover are in their usual get up.
Leland Alexander: Did you see that? Cross City Stallions are back!
Velvet Valentine: And... they lost. Bravo.
Malcolm M. Mitchell: It seems like we keep getting new enemies by the second, and certainly Max and Marky will be wanting to take these. And if I have to fight my own cousins to keep the AXW Tag Team Titles in the Takeover, then so be it.
Zoey Mathews-Mitchell: Janet, I heard what you had to say and it's all nonsense. I have not once talked trash behind your back, I've been in support of you from day one. When I give predictions on Before the Bell, I always pull for you. Where did you come to the conclusion that I believe you don't belong here? Why would I say you're only here because of who you're dating? The people who say you're only here because of who you're dating are the exact same people that say I'm only here because of who my brother is. So why would I of all people say that? I've said none of these things and I've never said a bad word about you. Everything that came spewing out of your mouth makes no God damn sense, but maybe, just maybe, if I punch your stupid face in hard enough, I can beat sense into you. So go ahead, make an example out of me, I DARE YOU. I will end your legacy before it even begins.
Catch the replay on BWF Network!
"Too Drunk to Fuck" by the Dead Kennedys kicks in as a smirking Jack Adams comes jogging out from the back. He looks at the crowd, laughing to himself as he walks to the ring, all the while Adams is goading the fans and prevoking them, daring them to punch him, before feigning punching them himself. Generally, just being a bully.
Jen Brunelli: This next contest is set for one fall! Introducing first, accompanied to the ring by Caitlin Shay, from Fort Payne, Alabama, weighing in at 230 pounds, he is "The Last Real Man Alive" JACK ADAMS!
Adams slides into the ring and being the dick he is, just yells to the hard camera "LAST REAL MAN ALIVE!"
The opening chords of “Hide Your Tears” by Daniel Licht hit as gold and white strobelights flicker and pulse. As the song gets heavier, Jonathan Fhenix emerges in his gold trunks, matching boots, and a black sleeveless shirt with an elegant gold F imprinted on it. He pays no mind to the fans who boo him, seemingly treating them like a disease.
Jen Brunelli: And his opponent, representing the Alliance of Truth, from Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, weighing in at 240 pounds, JONATHAN FHENIX!
He takes a stroll to the ring, looking out onto the crowd with a look of disdain, followed by a casual smirk before walking up the steel steps and entering the ring. He scales a turnbuckle and looks out onto the crowd, almost feeling sorry for them, before leaping off and cracking his knuckles, preparing for his match as the music fades.
vs.
The two former team mates lock up, with Fhenix giving Adams an old fashioned poke to the eye. Fhenix tries to lift Adams for a suplex but Adams stomps him on the foot and delivers a suplex of his own. Adams follows up with a Guillotine Neckbreaker. Adams brings Fhenix back to his feet and connects with a Gorilla Press + Rear sheer fall drop, seeing a two count as Caitlin berates the referee from ringside for not counting fast enough. Jack runs the ropes only to be caught by a Tilt a whirl backbreaker from Fhenix. At this point, Duncan Aries comes out to provide his voice on commentary. Lily figures Duncan is ultimately out here to cost Adams the match and Duncan insists he's going to do no such thing. Fhenix had Adams locked in a Dragon sleeper which Adams fought out of. Fhenix delivers another backbreaker, this one being a double underhook. Adams fights back with some punches and runs back to the ropes, only to be slammed down with the Stock Market Crash (D-Lo Brown's Sky High) for a two count. Fhenix look to big boot Adams, but Adams catches it and lifts him straight up in a powerbomb position, and powerbombs him into the corner, then runs the ropes and nearly decapitates Fhenix with the Meat Hook Lariat. Adams tries to set up the Gotch-Style Piledriver but Fhenix reverses with a back body drop. At this point Caitlin climbs onto the apron to distract Brian Sullivan, allowing Adams to low blow Fhenix. Adams then locks Fhenix deep in a High Angle Boston Crab! When Fhenix looks to be on the verge of tapping, it's not Duncan Aries who slides into the ring, but rather Android 18 who takes out Adams with a Power Blitz (Bionic elbow)!
Jen Brunelli: Here is your winner as a result of a disqualification, JACK ADAMS!
Lily Luna: What is going on? Why did Android 18 attack Jack Adams?
Chris Pierce: Can we get an explanation, Duncan?
Duncan Aries: There's nothing to explain, if you can't figure out how to put the pieces together, I'm certainly not doing it for you.
Aries drops his headset on the table and enters the ring. Caitlin has entered and tries to attack Android but falls victim to the Buster Swing (Inverted stomp facebreaker). Fhenix and Aries stand on either side of Android and raise her arms into the air.
Lily Luna: I think the Alliance of Truth has a new member.
-----
We return backstage to Luke Mathews' office. A knock is heard and before Luke can invite them in, the Cross City Stallions burst in.
Marky Mustang: Do you realize what you've done?!
Luke Mathews: No?
Marky Mustang: You hired Mason! He's an absolute maniac!
Luke Mathews: I was doing a favor to your mother. She thought it'd be nice for Mason, or should I say Mayhem, to reunite with his two brothers.
Marky Mustang: The name Mayhem didn't do it for you? That's all he does is cause mayhem! He's a psychopath!
Luke Mathews: He's a good kid. Your mom says he's an angel. Wouldn't hurt a fly. His look and new name is gonna establish him as a star along with the two of you.
Marky Mustang: An angel? Far from it! Mom is an enabler. Dad had to put him in a mental hospital after "The Burial Incident."
The mentioning of "The Burial Incident" causes Max to panic and sweat heavily.
Luke Mathews: "The Burial Incident"?
Marky Mustang: Mason tried to bury Max alive in the woods as a kid. Max is scarred for life because of it.
Luke Mathews: All I know is that you haven't seen him in years. He could have changed. The mental hospital could have worked for all you know.
Marky Mustang: You don't understand, you don't know him like we do--
Mayhem walks into the room.
Mayhem: Hey guys! Long time no see!
Max shouts in fear and hides behind Luke.
Mayhem: Max! Come on man give your brother a hug!
Mayhem tries to walk towards Max with his arms extended but Max quickly scurries out of the room, Marky following after him to ensure he'll be okay. Mayhem turns his back towards Luke as he watches them leave, and a sadistic smile grows on his face.
-----
Jen Brunelli: This next contest is set for one fall, and is for the AXW Championship!
"Throne" hits and Ethan Cutler steps out from the back, gripping the elbow pad for his right arm in hand. He takes a good look at the crowd before raising his right arm high to show off his "Off With Their Head" tattoo on his outer forearm and high-arced pyro fountains ignite on either side of the ramp." He lowers his arm and slides the elbow pad on, then proceeds to walk drown the ramp under the archway of pyro. Upon reach the ring he jumps from the ring floor onto the apron, then steps through the ropes. After bouncing off the ropes a few times, he settles down and waits at once side for the match to begin.
PUT ON YOUR WAR PAINT!
The lights in the arena all cut to black and the Tron comes to life, pulsating with a green light as a quiet beat gets louder with every flash. It gets faster and faster, and louder with each pulse, until the pulsating light explodes into the words "Blazenwing Rises" and “The Phoenix” by Fall Out Boy blares across the arena sound system.
You are a brick tied to me that's dragging me down
Strike a match and I'll burn you to the ground
We are the jack-o-lanterns in July
Setting fire to the sky
He-here comes this rising tide
So come on
PUT ON YOUR WAR PAINT!
The stage fills with smoke and the crowd rises to their feet, cheering loudly, as the smoke clears on the stage and a man in a dark green trenchcoat stands, head down, facing the Tron. He raises his hands and snaps his fingers, causing four loud bursts of pyro to ignite, two on each side of him, before spinning around Y2J style to reveal David Slayton!
Cross walks and crossed hearts and hope-to-dies
Silver clouds with grey linings
So we can take the world back from the heart-attacked
One maniac at a time we will take it back
You know time crawls on when you're waiting for the song to start
So dance alone to the beat of your heart
His sunglasses shining with the glare from the arena lights, David looks to the left, then to the right, nodding towards the crowd before walking down the ramp. After stopping to slap hands with a few fans, David moves towards the ring steps and hops up and down a few times in front of them before quickly racing up the steps to the apron side facing the stage. He stops and pulls his sunglasses off, then tosses them behind his head into the crowd before leaning down and stepping through the ropes to enter the ring.
Hey young blood
Doesn't it feel like our time is running out?
I'm gonna change you like a remix
Then I'll raise you like a phoenix
You're wearing our vintage misery
No, I think it looked a little better on me
I'm gonna change you like a remix
Then I'll raise you like a phoenix
David walks across the ring and leaps up onto the second rope in the corner nearest the timekeeper, then pulls off his green trenchcoat and tosses it towards the timekeeper. David smirks and points to the fans, then slaps his chest a few times and points up towards the sky, closing his eyes and saying a short prayer. David leaps down from the corner and immediately turns to sit down in the same corner, ala Raven. David then rests his head on the second turnbuckle pad as his theme fades and the crowd continues cheering.
The entirety of the Steve Corman Guys are present at ringside as they look to ensure that they leave with the title.
Jen Brunelli: Introducing first, the challenger, accompanied to the ring by the Steve Corman Guys, from Rapid City, South Dakota, weighing in at 232 pounds, "Mr. Clothesline" ETHAN CUTLER!
Ethan raises his right arm.
Jen Brunelli: And his opponent, from Milwaukee, Wisconsin, weighing in at 245 pounds, he is the defending AXW Champion, "The New Hotness" DAVID SLAYTON!
David pulls himself up from the corner and hoists up his championship.
vs.
AXW Championship
The two go to lock up and Ethan gets David in an arm wringer then takes him to the mat with a few short arm clotheslines and a snap arm drag. Ethan nails David with an enzuigiri and gets a quick two count. Ethan hoists David onto his shoulders but David slips free and brings Ethan to the mat with a neckbreaker. David kicks Ethan in the gut and drops him with a Sit-Out Facebuster. David lifts Ethan for his Triple Vertical Suplexes, but when he goes for the third one, Ethan suplexes him instead. Ethan successfully hits triple suplexes of German descent. Ethan lifts David in a suplex position once again but delivers a Slingshot Brainbuster. Ethan ascends the turnbuckles and jumps off with a diving clothesline, earning a two count. Ethan lifts David up for a powerbomb, but David gets free and lands on his feet behind Ethan. Ethan turns around and David throws his foot out for the Full Effect (Sweet Chin Music), but Ethan catches it. Ethan throws the foot away but David spins around executing la Dragon Whip! David slams Ethan to the mat with a Samoan Drop and follows up with a Jumping Elbow drop. David brings Ethan to his feet before driving him to the mat with a Package DDT, getting a 2.9 count. David brings Ethan back up and out of nowhere Ethan double legs David and swings him around with a Giant Swing. Ethan lets go of a leg and is now swinging David around by one leg! He stops and transitions into a single leg Boston Crab, which David manages to break by crawling to the bottom rope. Ethan keeps an eye on David and sees him using the ropes to help himself up. Ethan pulls his elbow pad down and drops to a three point stance, and looks to annihilate David with the Verdict Lariat but David ducks it! David again quickly throws his foot out for the Full Effect but again Ethan catches it! Ethan throws it again but this time grabs David as if going for a German Suplex, but David fights out of it and brings Ethan to the mat by his arm before locking in the Firehawk Lock (Crippler Crossface)! Ethan is locked in in the middle of the ring with nowhere to go, and taps out... but Senior Official Matt Baker doesn't see it as he's caught up with Steve Corman on the apron. This allows Damien Steele to slide in the ring and kick David in the face. Before David realizes it, he's on the receiving end of a Loony Stomp! Damien quickly gets out of the ring and Steve climbs off the apron. Ethan is still feeling the effects of the Firehawk Lock, and takes a few seconds before he goes for the cover as Matt Baker drops down to count!
One!
Two!
Three!
The Steve Corman guys are elated but Matt Baker is calling off the three count as he had spotted David's leg underneath the bottom rope. The elation turns into shock and anger. Ethan quickly tries to go back on the attack but is caught in another Firehawk Lock! Ethan is struggling and it's not looking good for him. Caitlin grabs Ethan's foot and puts it on the bottom rope, but Matt saw it clear as day and calls for the bell. Jen approaches Matt to get the final result.
Jen Brunelli: Referee Matt Baker is disqualifying Ethan Cutler, therefore the winner of this match and STILL AXW Champion, DAVID SLAYTON!
Lily Luna: The right call. The underhanded tactics caught up to the Steve Corman Guys.
Chris Pierce: I'll agree with you there. Ethan needs to come out here alone and try to prove he can hang with Slayton by himself. He got lucky with the "help" last week, but not twice in a row.
It's not long before all the Steve Corman Guys attack David. Starla Gardevoir comes down to try to help her friend but 5-on-2 is too much. Starla is taken out by Caitlin with a Broken Ending, and Jack and Damien lift David onto Steve's shoulders who then runs halfway across the ring for the Icon Bomb. The Steve Corman Guys stand tall to end the show.
