Oklahoma City, Oklahoma
Episode XXIX
Pyro blasts from the stage and tron before cameras pan across the crowd.
Lily Luna: Welcome to the Alternative! This is the last stop before Collide in two weeks live from Austin, Texas, which you can watch on the BWF Network. As always I'm Lily Luna alongside Chris Pierce.
Chris Pierce: A huge week last week on AXW, Starla Gardevoir is the new AXW Champion!
Jen Brunelli: Ladies and gentlemen, please welcome the NEW AXW Champion, STARLA GARDEVOIR!
Starla Gardevoir walks out onto the stage to a big ovation. She raises her AXW Championship overhead before making her way down to the ring. She enters, and as her music fades out, a "You Deserve It!" chant breaks out. She can't help but smile, and when the crowd dies down she raises the microphone to her mouth.
Starla doesn't even get a word out as out walks Duncan Aries. Duncan walks to the ring, clapping. He enters and snatches Starla's microphone out of her hands.
Duncan Aries: Ladies and gentlemen, let's hear it for the new AXW Champion, ...wait, what was your name again? Eh, it doesn't matter and won't matter once I take that title from you. This Blazenwing shit needs to stop once and for all, the AXW Championship deserves so much better, and who's better than the original AXW Champion? I'll send you packing and become an unprecedented four time AXW Champion!
Out walks Steve Corman, who makes his way into the ring.
Steve Corman: Duncan, please, shut up. Get in the back of the line where you belong, because the AXW Championship will be coming to my waist. So, Starla, honey, I'll allow you this time to simply hand me the AXW Championship because everyone knows when you're across the ring from me you will leave with serious injuries, and it'd be a shame for your reign to end that way.
The former champion now enters the ring.
David Slayton: You guys really can't even give her five minutes to speak? Once I lose the title, you're all jumping at the bit, but let's not forget that as former champion my name is above all of yours for a championship match.
Perhaps a bit surprising, but now Crash Jackson walks down to the ring.
Crash Jackson: None of you would be standing in this ring demanding for championship matches if this ass face (Duncan Aries) didn't attack me like the coward he is. I would still be standing here as AXW Champion with all of you fallen before me. If everyone's gonna come out here and demand title matches then so am I, because despite having the longest reign at one point, all I've been to everyone is an afterthought. I will lay you all out right now if it means getting MY championship back.
The AXW CEO Luke Mathews quickly makes his way to the ring and stands in the middle of everyone.
Luke Mathews: Everyone just relax. First off, Starla, congratulations. Not only for winning the AXW Championship, but by making history as the first woman to do so. Secondly, the AXW Championship will be defended in two weeks at Collide. Everything's bigger in Texas, so why not have it defended in the biggest match in AXW history? At Collide, Starla Gardevoir will be defending the AXW Championship against David Slayton.
Everyone starts to stir up.
Luke Mathews: Hold on, that's not it. Starla will also be defending the AXW Championship against Duncan Aries, Steve Corman, and Crash Jackson. The five of you will be competing in AXW's first ever Elimination Chamber Match!
The crowd cheers.
Duncan Aries: Hold on a second, an Elimination Chamber is a six person match. There's only five of us here, unless... oh God, don't tell me you're competing.
Luke Mathews: No, Duncan, I will not be competing. I haven't fully decided on a sixth person yet, but that doesn't matter right now. What matters now is the Main Event for tonight. It will be a Six Person Tag Match, it will be AXW Champion Starla Gardevoir, David Slayton, and Crash Jackson vs. Duncan Aries, Steve Corman, and whichever AOT Member or Corman Guy gets to the ring first.
Luke Mathews exits the ring as Duncan Aries exclaims he's not going to team with Corman. Corman doesn't seem thrilled about it either, but the ring eventually disperses as we prepare for the first match.
-----
As Footsteps by Pop Evil begins to blare through the speakers of the arena, Ryan comes out from behind the curtain. He stands and looks out into the crowd.
Jen Brunelli: This opening contest is set for one fall! Introducing first, accompanied to the ring by Austin Graves, representing War Horse, from Tampa, Florida, weighing in at 195 pounds, RYAN STARR!
He then runs down the ramp, hitting hands with the fans and slides into the ring. Then he goes up onto the ropes and bounces on them, trying to get the fans all hyped up for the match. He then jumps in the ring a little to get warped up to face his opponent.
As the tune of 'No One's Gonna Find Her In The Dark', a mashup between Panic! At The Disco and Fall Out Boy, starts to play, the lights go dim. The colors of pink and purple with green lazers start to shine through the area as Velvet comes out from behind the curtain. She points out to the fans while the music continues playing.
Jen Brunelli: And his opponent, accompanied to the ring by AXW Tag Team Champions Leland Alexander and Malcolm M. Mitchell, representing The Takeover, from Las Vegas, Nevada, she is also one of the AXW Tag Team Champions, VELVET VALENTINE!
Velvet walks down the ramp giving the 'rocker' sign and gives high-fives to the fans. She walks up the steps and heads to the ropes. She blows a little kiss and straddles the ropes. Velvet glances into the camera and wiggles while pointing to the camera. As she gets into the ring, the chorus of her music begins to play. As the chorus is playing, Velvet is finally in the ring. She hops up onto the top turnbuckle and gives the 'rocker' sign once again, then yells at the fans to get them psyched up. She then jumps down from the turnbuckle and does a few arm stretches before the match starts.
vs.
Ryan and Velvet lock up with Ryan executing a standing Monkey Flip. Ryan tries to take Velvet off guard with a Wheelbarrow victory roll but Velvet kicks out. Ryan takes Velvet back down with a Leaping clothesline. Ryan looks for another clothesline but Velvet ducks it and brings Ryan to the mat with a Half nelson bulldog. Velvet jacks Ryan's jaw with a Jawbreaker. Velvet runs the ropes and gets caught with an Enzuigiri from Ryan. Ryan connects with a Swinging neckbreaker. Ryan runs the ropes now and nails Velvet with a Single leg running high knee for a two count. Ryan lifts Velvet up and Velvet surprises Ryan with a drop toe hold. Velvet tries to lock in a Camel clutch but Ryan prevents it. Velvet instead elbow drops Ryan in the back and lifts him to his feet for a Russian legsweep. Velvet tries to lift Ryan for a powerbomb but Ryan counters with a back body drop. Ryan delivers an Inverted overdrive. At this point, Leland Alexander climbs onto the apron. Austin Graves climbs on the opposite apron as the referee tries to deal with both. Malcolm M. Mitchell is able to sneak around and pull Austin off the apron. Leland quickly hurries over and they both take out Austin with The Takedown (3D). Ryan is distracted by all of this and gets rolled up by Velvet, who gets the three count.
Jen Brunelli: Here is your winner, VELVET VALENTINE!
Lily Luna: Even without Zoey Mathews-Mitchell, the Takeover still utilize their numbers advantage.
Chris Pierce: War Horse can't let the numbers be a factor at Collide, as they face the Takeover for the AXW Tag Team Championships.
Velvet quickly rolls out of the ring and joins Leland and Malcolm as they head up the ramp. Ryan checks on Austin who is getting up, seething in anger.
-----
Upon everyone leaving ringside,
The lights in the arena go out as "Warrior" plays. After the first chorus ends, a spotlight in the ring is the only lighting in the arena, and stood in it is Deimos as his music fades.
Deimos: I know that my presence alone is enough for Bruiser Lazzou to come down to the ring. So, Bruiser, won't you join me?
The lights in the arena remain dim, but a spotlight now hits the stage and follows Lazzou who makes a b-line down the ramp. He's about to approach the ring when he's stunned as fire surrounds the ring.
Deimos: There is no way to enter this ring without being burned. In two weeks, we will Collide. And we will compete... in an Inferno Match! When I throw you out of the ring and you're rolling around on fire, your has-been career and the dying flame inside you will finally be extinguished. See you soon.
The lights in the arena go out again as does the fire. When the lights come back on Lazzou is in the ring ready to fight Deimos, who is nowhere to be found.

The opening beat of "ultranumb" by Blue Stahli as the crowd goes in a frenzy, hyped to see the arrival of "The World Warrior" The cameras focused on the countdown clock shown in the titantron while we hear a voice say, "Ultranumb"
"THREE. THREe, THRee, THree,Three
"TWO, TWO., two two
ONE"
"YOU WANT IT ALL RIGHT NOW"
The lights starts to flicker before coming back to normal as Justin Wyndham comes out with a smile on his face. He bends down on both knees and looks at his imaginary "watch" before getting up and does a cut throat sign.
Jen Brunelli: This next contest is set for one fall, where the winner will compete for the AXW Xperience Championship at Collide! Introducing first, from Cloverleaf, Texas, weighing in at 210 pounds, "World Warrior" JUSTIN WYNDHAM!
He then gets up before running down to the ring in full speed. Once he enters the ring, he bangs his head to the nearest turnbuckle, hyping himself up before looking back at the crowd with a sick smile. He then climbs at the turnbuckle and does the cuthroat sign before getting off and waiting for his match to start
"The Instinct" hits and Ethan Cutler steps out from the back, gripping the elbow pad for his right arm in hand. He takes a good look at the crowd before raising his right arm high to show off his "Off With Their Head" tattoo on his outer forearm and high-arced pyro fountains ignite on either side of the ramp." He lowers his arm and slides the elbow pad on, then proceeds to walk drown the ramp under the archway of pyro.
Jen Brunelli: And his opponent, representing the Steve Corman Guys, from Rapid City, South Dakota, weighing in at 232 pounds, "Mr. Clothesline" ETHAN CUTLER!
Upon reach the ring he jumps from the ring floor onto the apron, then steps through the ropes. After bouncing off the ropes a few times, he settles down and waits at once side for the match to begin.

Ethan takes down Justin with several Snap Armdrags. Ethan slams Justin down with a Belly 2 Belly Suplex. Ethan runs the ropes and Justin counters whatever he had planned with a Leg lariat. Justin strikes Ethan with a Muay Thai Combination. Justin delivers a Global Phenomena (Swinging side slam backbreaker) for a two count. Justin slams Ethan to the mat with a Tiger Suplex, bridging for another two count. Justin tries to lock in a Full Nelson but Ethan slips through. Ethan slams Justin hard with a Butterfly Suplex. Ethan lifts Justin off the mat for a Deadlift Powerbomb. Ethan ascends the turnbuckles and comes off with a Missile Dropkick. Ethan looks for one of his clotheslines but Justin catches his arm for an arm trap neckbreaker. Justin connects with a Ranhei, landing in a pin for another two count. Justin nails Ethan with the Peace Out(Spinning Capoeira kick), then climbs up the turnbuckles for an Olympic Splash (Double Moonsault). Justin lifts Ethan up for the Doomsday Driver(Davari’s WMD Driver), but drops him when this music begins to play:
TO'A has no problem making his presence known as he walks down to the ring. He stops and looks up at Justin, standing with his arms crossed. Justin is saying something to him, probably questioning why he's out here, and upon turning around Justin gets nearly decapitated from the Verdict Lariat by Ethan.
Jen Brunelli: Here is your winner, ETHAN CUTLER!
Lily Luna: Justin looked to be on the verge of heading to an Xperience Championship Match, but TO'A prevented him from doing so.
Chris Pierce: In all fairness, TO'A did nothing. Justin allowed TO'A to be a distraction, this is all on Justin.
Ethan's music doesn't even get to play as TO'A enters the ring and locks Justin in a Coquina Clutch, only releasing when several officials enter the ring to break it.

Zoey Mathews-Mitchell is standing somewhere backstage. She's holding the back of her neck, looking off in the distance. She's not even dressed in the usual Takeover garb. She lowers her hand and looks at the camera.
Zoey Mathews-Mitchell: Thankfully the injuries I suffered on the last Before the Bell are not severe, and I will be competing at Collide. Still unsure of where this side of Janet Hurricane came from, but at this point, it doesn't matter anymore. She tried taking me out on Before the Bell, but as you can see, I'm still standing. She didn't get the job done. That's the biggest difference between the two of us, because at Collide I fully intend on making sure you can't walk out. If I don't end your career, rest assured I will drastically shorten it. I've been relatively reserved in my career, but let's not forget where I come from. I am a Mathews. Sometimes a Mathews doesn't quite play by the rules. I don't need to remind anyone of the dastardly things my brothers, especially Luke, have done. I'm just as capable of doing those things. I told the rest of the Takeover to stay out of this, as this is something I need to do on my own... but at Collide, I'll be bringing a friend.
She raises a kendo stick into frame, and rests it against her shoulder.
Zoey Mathews-Mitchell: At Collide, it's not going to be a wrestling match, it's going to be a fight. A Street Fight. And it's not going to be pretty.
-----
As Daniel Licht’s “Hide Your Tears” opens with a sweet Spanish guitar lick, the lights dim into a golden hue, as elegant script spelling out “The Tragic Hero” flashes over the video wall. Fhenix emerges, his back to us, clad in a golden wrestling robe. He turns as the song gets a bit darker and heavier in tone, golden pyros raining down behind him as he poses, arms outstretched with a smirk.
Jen Brunelli: This next contest is set for one fall, where the winner will compete for the AXW Xperience Championship at Collide! Introducing first, representing the Alliance of Truth, from Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, weighing in at 240 pounds, he is "The Tragic Hero" JONATHAN FHENIX!
He walks to the ring with smooth confidence, entering the ring and scaling a turnbuckle, actually cupping an ear and egging on the crowd for more hatred before leaping off with a sinister smirk, which slowly turns into an eerily focused, stern glance, a mastermind considering strategy before his match begins, his music fading out.
"Too Drunk to Fuck" by the Dead Kennedys kicks in as a smirking Jack Adams comes jogging out from the back. He looks at the crowd, laughing to himself as he walks to the ring, all the while Adams is goading the fans and prevoking them, daring them to punch him, before feigning punching them himself. Generally, just being a bully.
Jen Brunelli: And his opponent, representing the Steve Corman Guys, from Fort Payne, Alabama, weighing in at 230 pounds, he is "The Last Real Man Alive" JACK ADAMS!
Adams slides into the ring and being the dick he is, just yells to the hard camera "LAST REAL MAN ALIVE!"

The two lock up with Jonathan backing Jack to the corner. Jonathan throws a number of punches until referee Shane Gates separates the two. Jack fires back by tackling Jonathan to the mat and throwing punches of his own. Jonathan manages to push him off and delivers an excruciating Tilt a whirl backbreaker. Jonathan hoists Jack in the air and eventually drops him on his head with a Stalling brainbuster. This sees a two count and Jonathan lifts Jack back to his feet, but suddenly Jack lifts Jonathan up for a Gorilla Press + Rear sheer fall drop. Jack follows up with Alabama Stompdown (Garvin Stomp). Jack gives Jonathan a full tour of Alabama as he delivers an Alabama Hamma (Running Polish Hammer) and an Alabama Slam (Short Throw down Powerbomb). After that doesn't put Jonathan away, Jack executes a Guillotine Neckbreaker. He lifts Jonathan onto his shoulders before running across the ring for a Running Corner Powerbomb, immediately followed by the Meat Hook Lariat. Jack tries locking in the High Angle Boston Crab, but Jonathan fights out of it. Jonathan uses the corner to help himself up, and Jack gets baited into a Release Northern Lights suplex into the turnbuckles. Jonathan props Jack onto the top rope, and Jack kicks Jonathan right in the mouth. Jack dives off with a bulldog. Jack pulls down his knee pad, then runs the ropes as he perhaps is looking for the Knee Trembler, but gets caught in The Tragic Hero (tilt a whirl sideslam flowed through into an RKO).
Jen Brunelli: Here is your winner, JONATHAN FHENIX!
Lily Luna: Defeating Jack Adams is not an easy task, unless you know him like Jonathan Fhenix does.
Chris Pierce: And it's now official, at Collide it will be Ethan Cutler vs. Jonathan Fhenix to determine the next Xperience Champion.
Jonathan wipes his boots next to the downed Adams and exits the ring, celebrating on his way up the ramp.

We return backstage where we see Mayhem. Marky Mustang and Max Maximus cautiously approach him.
Marky Mustang: Why are you here?
Mayhem: What do you mean?
Marky Mustang: You know what I mean. Why are you here?
Mayhem: I'm following my dreams of being a pro wrestler, just like my big brothers!
Marky Mustang: That's a load of crap and you know it. You're up to something.
Mayhem: That's really what you got to say to me after all these years apart? No "Nice to see you!"?
Marky Mustang: There's a good reason why we've been apart for so long.
Mayhem: Come on, man. What does Max have to say to me? I'm sure he's got nicer things to say.
Mayhem gets close to Max. Max starts shaking a little bit and turns his head to avoid eye contact.
Mayhem: You got anything to say to me, Max?
The usually loud mouthed Max is more reserved than usual.
Max Maximus: N-no.
Mayhem: What's wrong with him?
Marky Mustang: You know why he acts like that.
Mayhem: Well, Max, I don't know why you're acting like this, but if it has to do with me, then I hope we can... bury the hatchet.
Max hollers out in fear and rushes out of the area in a panic. Marky has to follow him off, leaving Mayhem to watch his brothers leave with a sadistic smile on his face. Something you may have missed during the conversation - there's a shovel leaning on a nearby wall.

We cut elsewhere backstage where Acer Stone is just hanging around, the Light Heavyweight Championship hung over his shoulder. It appears he's drinking a coffee or something from catering. Sam De Santa approaches him.
Sam De Santa: Mr. Stone.
Acer Stone: Oh, hey. Sam, right? You can just call me Acer.
Sam De Santa: Well, Acer, you may remember a few weeks ago, where my client Trent Mathews defeated you.
Acer Stone: Yeah, I remember.
Sam De Santa: Seeing as you are the co-holder of the AXW Light Heavyweight Championship, and you lost to Trent Mathews, a light heavyweight, that means Trent Mathews should get another match for the Light Heavyweight Championship.
Acer Stone: I suppose it does.
Sam De Santa: Well I'm here to inform you that you have until Collide to figure out which one of you will defend the championship against my client. Good day.
Sam walks off as Acer watches her leave. He takes a look at Light Heavyweight Title, before taking another sip of his drink.

Jen Brunelli: Ladies and gentlemen, this is your Main Event! It is a Six Person Tag Team Match set for one fall!
PUT ON YOUR WAR PAINT!
The lights in the arena all cut to black and the Tron comes to life, pulsating with a green light as a quiet beat gets louder with every flash. It gets faster and faster, and louder with each pulse, until the pulsating light explodes into the words "Blazenwing Rises" and “The Phoenix” by Fall Out Boy blares across the arena sound system.
You are a brick tied to me that's dragging me down
Strike a match and I'll burn you to the ground
We are the jack-o-lanterns in July
Setting fire to the sky
He-here comes this rising tide
So come on
PUT ON YOUR WAR PAINT!
The stage fills with smoke and the crowd rises to their feet, cheering loudly, as the smoke clears on the stage and a man in a dark green trenchcoat stands, head down, facing the Tron. He raises his hands and snaps his fingers, causing four loud bursts of pyro to ignite, two on each side of him, before spinning around Y2J style to reveal David Slayton!
Jen Brunelli: Introducing first, from Milwaukee, Wisconsin, weighing in at 245 pounds, "The New Hotness" DAVID SLAYTON!
Cross walks and crossed hearts and hope-to-dies
Silver clouds with grey linings
So we can take the world back from the heart-attacked
One maniac at a time we will take it back
You know time crawls on when you're waiting for the song to start
So dance alone to the beat of your heart
His sunglasses shining with the glare from the arena lights, David looks to the left, then to the right, nodding towards the crowd before walking down the ramp. After stopping to slap hands with a few fans, David moves towards the ring steps and hops up and down a few times in front of them before quickly racing up the steps to the apron side facing the stage. He stops and pulls his sunglasses off, then tosses them behind his head into the crowd before leaning down and stepping through the ropes to enter the ring.
Hey young blood
Doesn't it feel like our time is running out?
I'm gonna change you like a remix
Then I'll raise you like a phoenix
You're wearing our vintage misery
No, I think it looked a little better on me
I'm gonna change you like a remix
Then I'll raise you like a phoenix
David walks across the ring and leaps up onto the second rope in the corner nearest the timekeeper, then pulls off his green trenchcoat and tosses it towards the timekeeper. David smirks and points to the fans, then slaps his chest a few times and points up towards the sky, closing his eyes and saying a short prayer. David leaps down from the corner and immediately turns to sit down in the same corner, ala Raven. David then rests his head on the second turnbuckle pad as his theme fades and the crowd continues cheering.
"Remedy" by Seether blasts out throughout the arena as ‘The Titan’ Crash Jackson walks out to the top of the ramp. He bounces from foot to foot psyching himself up for his match. He tenses his body up and then throws his arms out to either side and lets out a mighty roar while a small pyrotechnics display goes on right behind him. He starts making his way down to the ring slapping hands with some of the fans on his way.
Jen Brunelli: And his partners, first, from Miami, Florida, weighing in at 258 pounds, "The Titan" CRASH JACKSON!
Crash slides in under the bottom ropes to enter the ring. He goes over to a turnbuckle and climbs to the second rope. He beats on his chest with a clenched fist and then throws the same fist up into the air, oozing with pure intensity as he yells out to the crowd. Crash jumps down from there and readies himself in his corner to start the match.
The lights in the arena go out, one by one, until the entire arena is blanketed in complete darkness. A few seconds pass of this, the crowd cheering loudly, eagerly awaiting whatever is going to come next. The JumboTron comes to life with a neon pink butterfly, slowly flapping its wings against darkness. With every flap of its wings, the arena lights pulse. The flapping gets faster and faster, until finally, the butterfly explodes into glitter. When it does, a stage-wide blast of pink and purple pyro explodes across the stage and as the screen fills with the words "Stutterfly" Starla Gardevoir, "Endless Possibility" by Jaret Reddick begins playing over the sound system!
This is my escape
I'm running through this world
And I'm not looking back
The crowd explodes in a flurry of cheers as Starla Gardevoir struts onto the stage and points to the crowd, grinning. She moves to each side of the stage, posing for the fans, then comes back to the center of the stage before dropping to one knee and posing as a shower of pink pyro begins falling behind her!
Jen Brunelli: And from Panama City, Florida, she is the AXW Champion, "Stutterfly" STARLA GARDEVOIR!
'Cause I know I can go
Where no one's ever gone
And I'm not looking back
Starla stands up, still grinning from ear to ear, and then quickly bounds down the ramp, slapping fan's hands along the way. Towards the bottom of the ramp, she stops and turns back to the stage, then poses with her back to the ring. Starla turns back and laughs, then makes her way around ringside, high-fiving fans as she goes.
But how will I know when I get there?
And how will I know when to leave?
We've all got to start from somewhere
It's like that for me
The possibilities are never ending
After a quick trip around the ring, Starla runs towards the ring apron facing the stage and leaps up, turning in midair and sliding from one side of the apron to the other on one knee. Starla stands up and steps over the second rope, then leans in slowly, showcasing her butt for the cheering male fans before entering the ring completely.
I see it, I see it
And now it's all within my reach
Endless possibility
I see it, I see it now
It's always been inside of me
And now I feel so free
Endless possibility
Starla then heads up to the top of the nearest turnbuckle and poses once more. With the fans still cheering, Starla does a backflip off the top rope and lands on her feet, then walks over to the corner across the ring and leans against it, rolling her head back and forth as the music fades.
An ice blue hue descends on the stage, “Playing The Saint” by Digital Summer blaring as a spade of the same color is shown on the ramp, Aries emerging with his back to us, clad in a denim jacket with the same spade on fire printed on the back, his arms crossed. Pyros explode on either side as Aries then spins around, his arms still crossed, head cocked in a smug grin. Aries then takes a confident stride towards the ring, eyes not off the ring from under his ice blue tinted Aviator shades.
Jen Brunelli: And their opponents, first, representing the Alliance of Truth, from San Diego, California, weighing in at 238 pounds, "The Wild Card" DUNCAN ARIES!
Aries climbs the steps and walks the apron, looking out onto the crowd before tossing his shades to a lucky fan, entering the ring, pumped up, tossing off his jacket and delivering some shadow punches and kicks as his music fades.
The crowd reacts with overall boos and jeers, but there is the small population of fans, for either nostalgia or just plain assholes, that cheer and do the hero worship wave, wearing Icon Merch.
Jen Brunelli: And his partners, first, from Hamilton, Ontario, Canada, weighing in at 275 pounds, "The Icon" STEVE CORMAN!
Big Stevie Cool walks out dressed in his classic BSC ring attire, black shiny side lace up pants and a black wrestling tank with "BSC" on the front. As well as a black elbow pad on his right elbow with "ICON" written in gold across it. He stops to look around the arena and the boos being thrown in his direction. Corman makes it very clear to the fans that “all of this” is because of Him. He smiles his cocky smile, then double thumb points to himself, taps his right index finger on his temple and slowly pans his left hand, index finger extended, around the arena; indicating that he’s smarter than each and every one of them, then Corman slowly raises his arms over his head, making the trademark Highrollers hand gesture (basically the wolfpack, while moving his thumbs around in the international sign for MONEY). He makes his way to the ring, as the A-Hole High Rollers fans cheer and do the "Icon" worship wave as Corman nods, points, and smiles at the camera. He climbs the stairs, planting each foot, and walks across the apron. Jen walks over and holds open the ropes as Corman enters the ring. Corman smirks and again repeats the High Rollers hand gesture by the ropes.
The lights all go out and "Miseria Cantare" by AFI starts as a single spotlight shines on the entrance as Damien Steele is standing in the entrance hair in front of his face as at the 45 second mark of the song. Damien flips his hair back and starts to walk down to the ring, as the words of the song start.
LOVE... YOUR HATE...
Jen Brunelli: And representing the Steve Corman Guys, from Chicago, Illinois, weighing in at 221 pounds, "The Vicious One" DAMIEN STEELE!
Damien Steele makes no connection to any fans that might be throwing insults his way, almost as if he is only focused on the ring, and more specifically his opponent.
YOUR... FAITH LOST...
Steele reaches the ring as he walks around to the steps.
YOU... ARE NOW...
Damien waits at the bottom of the steps keeping his eyes on his opponent.
ONE... OF US...
A wicked smile comes across his face as the words of the song repeat again just a little bit faster this time.
LOVE... YOUR HATE... YOUR... FAITH LOST... YOU... ARE NOW... ONE... OF US...
Steele takes one step up the steps, still keeping his eyes locked on his opponent till he reaches the top step and wipes his feet before entering the ring never taking his eyes off his opponent.
vs.
Six Person Tag Team
Crash Jackson starts against Duncan Aries. They lock up with Crash Biel Throwing Aries to the mat. Duncan gets to his feet and is met with a Discus Clothesline from Crash. Crash continues his offense with a vertical suplex. Crash lifts Duncan up for The Demolisher (Dangerous Uranagi Slam). Crash follows up with a Belly To Belly Suplex No Release x2 Followed by an Overhead Belly To Belly Suplex. Duncan tags out to Steele, with Duncan saying screw it and leaving the arena entirely. Damien comes in and gets knocked silly by a Smash Mouthed (Bullhammer) from Crash. Crash lifts Damien for a suplex but drops him across the knee for a backbreaker. Crash brings Damien to his corner where Starla tags herself in. Starla grabs Damien by the head and runs up the turnbuckles for a Sliced Bread #2. Starla runs the ropes and is thwarted as Damien hits a side kick to the gut, followed by a Swinging Enzuigiri. Damien slams Starla down with a Northern Lights Suplex. He continues his onslaught with a Falcon Arrow. Damien runs the ropes and Starla manages to catch him with a Spinning Sidewalk Slam. Starla looks to tag out but Damien stops her with a German suplex sending her towards Corman. Damien lifts Starla onto his shoulders and plants her with an F-5. Damien tags in Corman. Corman picks Starla up and whips her into her team's corner, prompting David Slayton to tag himself in. David runs in and is taken to the mat with a series of punches from Corman. David tries to fight back and throws a kick but Steve catches it for a Leg Hook Chokeslam. Steve drives David to the mat with a Snapmare Driver. Steve connects with Triple German Suplexes, and plants David to the mat with a Front Spinebuster. Steve removes his elbow pad and tosses it into the crowd as he climbs to the top turnbuckle. He dives off looking for the Superstar Elbow (Test-esk flying elbow), but David gets out of the way. David starts to crawl towards his team's corner, but Crash and Starla are both pulled from the apron and tossed into the barricade by Jack Adams and Ethan Cutler. Senior Official Matt Baker doesn't see this as he's pre-occupied with the mastermind Steve Corman, who is feigning an injury. Steve quickly drops the charade after Ethan and Jack do their work and tags in Damien. David is back to his feet and is ready to fight Damien, but Damien hits a low dropkick, causing David to hit the mat face-first. Damien quickly follows up by running the ropes and executing the Loony Stomp!
Jen Brunelli: Here are your winners, the team of Damien Steele, Steve Corman, and Duncan Aries!
Lily Luna: It may have been a tag match with some distractions, but regardless, Damien Steele just pinned the longest reigning AXW Champion in David Slayton.
