Episode XXXI
Pyro blasts from the stage and tron before the cameras pan across the crowd.
Lily Luna: Welcome to The Alternative! I'm Lily Luna joined by Chris Pierce, and we've got a big one in store for you tonight.
Chris Pierce: In the Main Event tonight, two men will enter the match as AXW Light Heavyweight Champion, but only one man will leave as champion, as Danny Hall and Acer Stone defend their title against one another and Trent Mathews.
Lily Luna: AXW Champion Starla Gardevoir will be in action, but first, we're gonna kick things off with what should be a hard hitting contest.
The opening chords of "The Right Direction" by The Red Jumpsuit Apparatus rolls throughout the arena. There’s a fountain of pyro at the three second mark as the song hits. Three spotlights shine and revolve around as if searching for someone, and the fans are on their feet, cheering in anticipation for the hero they know is coming. At the seven second mark, the hooded figure steps from behind the curtain and through the pyro looking down. The song builds to the fourteen second mark as he throws his hood back and arms out, fired up, as there’s a loud pop of orange and white pyro from the stage. Gabe Shelley responds to the cheers of the fans by pounding his chest and pointing out to them. The fans are positively crazy about Gabe. He begins to make his way to the ring and is sure to tap hands of fans on the ramp.
Jen Brunelli: This opening contest is set for one fall! Introducing first, from Columbus, Ohio, weighing in at 220 pounds, here is "the reVolution" GABE SHELLEY!
I will never understand the path you chose
Chemical parasitic waste inside your bowels
So wrap it up while you still can
While you got the offer in
I just can't believe
That you'd throw it all away
Now you falsely return today
As you're falling on your face
Shelley makes his way up the steel steps and jumps to the second turnbuckle and looks around the arena with a smile on his face. He jumps into the ring as his hood comes back up, landing on his feet. He goes to the middle of the ropes ropes facing camera side and jumps to the second one. He flips the hood back once again and makes finger guns at the camera and fires with a wink.
"Remedy" by Seether blasts out throughout the arena as ‘The Titan’ Crash Jackson walks out to the top of the ramp. He bounces from foot to foot psyching himself up for his match. He tenses his body up and then throws his arms out to either side and lets out a mighty roar while a small pyrotechnics display goes on right behind him.
Jen Brunelli: And his opponent, from Miami, Florida, weighing in at 258 pounds, "The Titan" CRASH JACKSON!
Crash slides in under the bottom ropes to enter the ring. He goes over to a turnbuckle and climbs to the second rope. He beats on his chest with a clenched fist and then throws the same fist up into the air, oozing with pure intensity as he yells out to the crowd. Crash jumps down from there and readies himself in his corner to start the match.
vs.
Crash immediately throws some hard punches to Gabe. Crash sends Gabe across the ring with a Fallaway Slam. As Gabe gets to his feet he gets clotheslined over the rope and to the floor. Crash goes out after him and whips him towards the steps. Gabe hops up onto the steps, and as Crash approaches him, Gabe jumps over him and lands on the floor. Crash turns around and gets dropkicked, falling back into the steps. Gabe rolls Crash back into the ring and climbs onto the apron. Gabe looks to re-enter the ring via I'm a Bird, Mother F**ker! (Springboard Leg Drop From Apron), but is caught by Crash who counters it with a powerbomb! Crash doesn't stop there, as he lifts Gabe up for not just two, or three, but four powerbombs! Crash is confident as he goes for a more of a lackadaisical cover, getting a two count. Crash lifts Gabe to his feet and delivers a Wrath Of The Titan (Cobra Clutch Backbreaker), then flows right into The Demolisher (Dangerous Uranagi Slam). After getting only another two count, Crash gets right in the face of referee Gus Ramos. Crash signals it's over as he whips Gabe to the ropes, then runs to the adjacent ropes looking for The Pulverizer (The Pounce) but when the two meet in the middle of the ring Gabe somehow finds a way to execute a Cannon Ball (Similar to the Codebreaker, but Gabe's knees are in his opponents chest) from out of nowhere! Gabe, now in control, delivers a Jersey Cutter (Twist of Fate) to Crash. Crash kicks out of a pin attempt but Gabe stays right on the attack, hooking Crash's arms for the Junkyard Jam (Pedigree). Gabe now says it's over as he hoists Crash onto his shoulders, looking for The reVolt (Cradle Shock), but Crash slips out and rolls out of the ring. Crash throws his hands forward, saying screw this, and makes his way to the back. It's clear he's not coming back, so Gus calls for the bell.
Jen Brunelli: Here is your winner as a result of a count out, GABE SHELLEY!
Lily Luna: Crash Jackson seems to wanna fight another day.
Chris Pierce: Perhaps trying to play some mind games with the veteran, I don't think it's gonna phase Gabe that much though.
Gabe does not seem bothered by the way he won tonight, he just shrugs it off and exits the ring, high fiving some of the fans as he exits the arena.

We cut backstage to Renee Peltier.
Renee Peltier: My guest at this time, Janet Hurricane!
The camera zooms out to see Janet in frame with Renee.
Renee Peltier: Janet, last week--
Janet Hurricane: I'll stop you right there. Last week was a set-up. But it didn't work, now did it? If Zoey was smart, she would have had Megan out there the whole time. Instead, she told her to hit the bricks. Zoey is so obsessed with trying to take me down by herself, but she can't do it by herself. I proved it at Collide, I proved it last week, and I'll prove it again at Horizon.... what do you want?
Janet's attention is now on her ex-boyfriend and boss, as Luke Mathews steps into frame.
Luke Mathews: I came here to inform you of your match stipulation at Horizon. You two really have it out for each other, and I want to try to keep it controlled. You see, AXW has a match known as the AXW Cage Match, which is a standard cage but with no doors and a ceiling. You and Zoey will be competing in what's going to be called a Rage in the Cage Match. A more popular term for this match is Hell in a Cell. However, much like the AXW Cage Match, once the cage lowers, there is no escape until the match is over, as there is no door. Good luck.
Luke walks off.
Renee Peltier: A huge announcement just made, Janet, how do you feel knowing you're now going to be competing in a Rage in the Cage Match?
Janet Hurricane: Is that supposed to intimidate me, Renee? The result will be the same. I'm done with this interview.
Janet storms off as we head back to ringside.

The lights in the arena go out, one by one, until the entire arena is blanketed in complete darkness. A few seconds pass of this, the crowd cheering loudly, eagerly awaiting whatever is going to come next. The JumboTron comes to life with a neon pink butterfly, slowly flapping its wings against darkness. With every flap of its wings, the arena lights pulse. The flapping gets faster and faster, until finally, the butterfly explodes into glitter. When it does, a stage-wide blast of pink and purple pyro explodes across the stage and as the screen fills with the words "Stutterfly" Starla Gardevoir, "Endless Possibility" by Jaret Reddick begins playing over the sound system!
This is my escape
I'm running through this world
And I'm not looking back
The crowd explodes in a flurry of cheers as Starla Gardevoir struts onto the stage and points to the crowd, grinning. She moves to each side of the stage, posing for the fans, then comes back to the center of the stage before dropping to one knee and posing as a shower of pink pyro begins falling behind her!
Jen Brunelli: This next contest is set for one fall! Introducing first, from Panama City, Florida, she is the AXW Champion, "Stutterfly" STARLA GARDEVOIR!
'Cause I know I can go
Where no one's ever gone
And I'm not looking back
Starla stands up, still grinning from ear to ear, and then quickly bounds down the ramp, slapping fan's hands along the way. Towards the bottom of the ramp, she stops and turns back to the stage, then poses with her back to the ring. Starla turns back and laughs, then makes her way around ringside, high-fiving fans as she goes.
But how will I know when I get there?
And how will I know when to leave?
We've all got to start from somewhere
It's like that for me
The possibilities are never ending
After a quick trip around the ring, Starla runs towards the ring apron facing the stage and leaps up, turning in midair and sliding from one side of the apron to the other on one knee. Starla stands up and steps over the second rope, then leans in slowly, showcasing her butt for the cheering male fans before entering the ring completely.
I see it, I see it
And now it's all within my reach
Endless possibility
I see it, I see it now
It's always been inside of me
And now I feel so free
Endless possibility
Starla then heads up to the top of the nearest turnbuckle and poses once more. With the fans still cheering, Starla does a backflip off the top rope and lands on her feet, then walks over to the corner across the ring and leans against it, rolling her head back and forth as the music fades.
The lights all go out and "Miseria Cantare" by AFI starts as a single spotlight shines on the entrance as Damien Steele is standing in the entrance hair in front of his face as at the 45 second mark of the song. Damien flips his hair back and starts to walk down to the ring, as the words of the song start.
LOVE... YOUR HATE...
Jen Brunelli: And her opponent, representing the Steve Corman Guys, from Chicago, Illinois, weighing in at 221 pounds, "The Vicious One" DAMIEN STEELE!
Damien Steele makes no connection to any fans that might be throwing insults his way, almost as if he is only focused on the ring, and more specifically his opponent.
YOUR... FAITH LOST...
Steele reaches the ring as he walks around to the steps.
YOU... ARE NOW...
Damien waits at the bottom of the steps keeping his eyes on his opponent.
ONE... OF US...
A wicked smile comes across his face as the words of the song repeat again just a little bit faster this time.
LOVE... YOUR HATE... YOUR... FAITH LOST... YOU... ARE NOW... ONE... OF US...
Steele takes one step up the steps, still keeping his eyes locked on his opponent till he reaches the top step and wipes his feet before entering the ring never taking his eyes off his opponent.
vs.
Non-Title
Starla tries to kick Damien but he catches her foot. Starla follows up with an enzuigiri. Starla runs the ropes and gets hit with a hard knee from Damien. Damien slams Starla to the mat with a Northern Lights Suplex. Damien follows up with a Falcon Arrow. Damien sets Starla up on the top rope. Starla kicks Damien who staggers back and Starla comes off the top rope with a Diving Dropkick. Starla grabs the head of Damien and runs up the turnbuckles for a Sliced Bread #2. Starla ascends to the top turnbuckle once more to deliver a Flying Overcastle Neckbreaker. Starla bounces off the ropes and sends Damien out of the ring with a Double Tilt-a-Whirl Headscissors Takeover. Starla again runs the ropes for momentum before diving out with a Suicide Dive. However, Damien catches her and spins her, ramming her back first into the barricade. He drives her back first into the edge of the ring apron, before setting her on the apron itself. He climbs up with her, and lifts her up for a Falling Paroxysm on the apron! Starla crumbles to the floor as Damien enters the ring, already celebrating a count out victory. Starla gets into the ring at what feels like the count of 19.9. Damien stalks Starla as she slowly gets to her feet before delivering an Inverted Frankensteiner. Damien continues to just watch his opponent in pain, as Starla gets to all fours. Damien forms his hand in the shape of a gun, pulls the trigger, and runs the ropes. Damien leaps into the air for the Loony Stomp, but at the last second Starla pushes his foot forward, causing him to fall on his back. Starla quickly follows up with a Standing Shooting Star Press. Starla allows Damien to get to his feet where she delivers a Lifting DDT. Starla brings Damien to the corner, as she looks to deliver a 343 Guilty Spark (Tornado DDT), but Damien pushes her off over the top rope, Starla landing hard on the floor. It's at this point the lights in the arena go out.
Lily Luna: What's going on? It's pitch black in here!
A few moments pass before the lights come back on. Damien Steele is laying on the mat, bloodied. Kneeling next to him is Deimos, who has blood on his hands.
Chris Pierce: I think you just got your answer. I think Damien might need some help.
Deimos laughs hysterically as officials run down to ringside, before we cut to commercial.

We return backstage to Craig Brooks.
Craig Brooks: Hello, ladies and gentlemen. My guest at this time is AXW Women's Champion, Olya Oglovska.
Olya steps into frame.
Craig Brooks: Olya, at Horizon you will be defending your AXW Women's Championship in the final match of your Best of 5 Series. How are you feeling as you prepare for that match?
Olya Oglovska: I'm feelink confident. Hailey has proved to be tough challenger, but I think I can overcome her at Horizon.
Craig Brooks: Hailey does have the longest single AXW Women's title reign for a reason.
Olya Oglovska: And that record will be broken by yours truly. No disrespect to Hailey, but I do not intend on losink this championship anytime soon. I am just beginnink to cement my legacy. After I defeat Hailey, I will go on to Rise and retain my title on AXW's grandest stage. I will surpass Hailey's record of longest sinkle reign, as well as Sierra Starr's record of most days held. People were shocked when I beat Caitlin Shay, and I need to further prove that me winnink was no fluke. Which is why Hailey better brink all she has and then some, because this title isn't goink anywhere.
Craig Brooks: Strong sentiment by the champion, back to ringside.
-----
The lights go dark as the ominous beginning of “Not to touch the Earth” rings out over the speakers. The lights begin to strobe slowly as if to make everything appear like it is in slow motion as the maniac himself MAYHEM enters the arena with a crazy look in his eyes!
Jen Brunelli: This next contest is set for one fall! Introducing first, from Cross City, Florida, weighing in at 210 pounds, "The Loose Cannon" MAYHEM!
He stomps his way down to the ring with a devilish smile with his signature biker vest and jeans on as he makes his way to the ring, ready to maim anyone that happens to be in the ring with him.
"Falling Away from me" starts as "The Chicago Cyclone" walks out with an angry look on his face
Jen Brunelli: And his opponent, making his AXW Debut, from Chicago, Illinois, weighing in at 229 pounds, "The Chicago Cyclone" CARL BENGLY!
he struts down to the ring then he walks to the turnbuckle, and slaps it and slides into the ring.
vs.
The 6'8" Carl has the size advantage as he powers Mayhem to the mat. Carl locks in a Full Nelson, then slams Mayhem to the mat with a Full Nelson Slam. Carl lifts Mayhem back up for some Chicago Style (Chokeslam). Carl takes to the ropes where he is met by a low dropkick from Mayhem. Mayhem runs the ropes now and takes Carl down with a Bulldog. Mayhem goes back off the ropes and delivers a Running knee lift. Mayhem is suddenly rocked with a forearm smash by Carl. Carl runs the ropes and is taken down by a drop toe hold, hitting the bottom rope throat first. Mayhem continues inflicting pain on Carl's throat by using the rope to choke him. UPon Carl getting back to his feet, Mayhem connects with a Fly Swatter (Double Handed Ear Clap) followed by a Hangman's Neckbreaker. Mayhem runs the ropes once more and gets nailed by a Big Boot from Carl. Carl lifts Mayhem onto his shoulder and delivers a Chicago Crush (Running Powerslam). Carl climbs to the top rope, where he looks for a Diving Headbutt but Mayhem rolls out of the way. Mayhem locks in Maniac Vice (Tazzmission). Carl doesn't have much choice, and taps out.
Jen Brunelli: Here is your winner as a result of a submission, MAYHEM!
Lily Luna: Thanks for coming Carl Bengly, but unfortunately it was not your night.
Chris Pierce: You just don't know what to expect when you step into the ring with Mayhem, and Carl learned that as he got locked in a Maniac Vice.
Mayhem keeps the hold locked on well after the match is over. He eventually breaks it and rolls out of the ring, looks underneath, and pulls out his shovel. He enters the ring and looks to deal more damage, but gets tackled to the mat by Marky Mustang! Mayhem manages to slip out of the ring without taking much more damage, walking up the ramp with a deranged smile on his face.

We cut backstage to the trainer's room, where Damien Steele has been bandaged up. The rest of the Steve Corman Guys are with him.
Steve Corman: You sure you're not gonna want some help with this?
Damien Steele: I'm sure. It's gonna be a challenge, but it's a challenge I wanna try on my own.
Steve Corman: You did lose a lot of blood. You absolutely sure?
Damien Steele: Yes.
Steve Corman: I have faith in you. Just like I had faith that we were gonna bring home some gold. Jack, congratulations.
Jack Adams: Thank you, Steve. That poor bastard Fhenix never saw it coming. Heard he's got a concussion after that 2nd City Sleeper.
Steve Corman: Couldn't have happened to a better guy, huh? Good job on the assist, Damien.
Damien Steele: No problem.
Steve Corman: Now, Jack and Ethan, you guys are competing in that WSW Tag Tourney in May as well. You need to start preparing for that.
Ethan Cutler: I already talked to Luke Mathews, we got a match with Beauty and the Jekyll next week.
Steve Corman: Who?
Ethan shrugs.
Steve Corman: Caitlin, now that Aries and Fhenix are out of commission, and with that other guy being as dumb as a rock, Android 18 has no back up.
Caitlin Shay: And when I beat her, I'm going to beat either Hailey or Olya and take back MY Women's Championship.
Steve Corman: Yes you will. And I would be standing here as the Number One Contender for the AXW Championship, if it were not for one person. David Clash. He's made a decision that he's going to deeply regret.
With that, we fade to commercial.
UPCOMING MAJOR BWF NETWORK EVENTS

Saturday, May 7
Tuesday, June 28
Spiderbait's banjo bashing version of 'Black Betty' kicks in as ‘The Next Generation’ Leland Alexander comes running out onto the stage, kicking out big over exaggerated strides and drops into a squat, pointing both hands towards the ring in the shape of guns, before pulling the triggers. He blows the invisible smoke off and heads to the ring, clapping the hands of the fans.
Jen Brunelli: This next contest is set for one fall! Introducing first, representing The Takeover, from Detroit, Michigan, weighing in at 205 pounds, he is "The Next Generation" LELAND ALEXANDER!
He reaches the ringside and runs, leaping rolls into the ring between the bottom and middle ropes, and takes up station on the ropes, pointing to his hand, in the gesture for Detroit and then pounding his fist against his chest while pointing at the camera.
‘War Machine’ begins to play, as the crowd rises to their feet. The song plays out with the white spots lights zooming around the arena until the 33 second mark when the drums kick in and Austin Graves steps out from the back, checking the black hockey tape on his wrists.
Jen Brunelli: And his opponent, representing War Horse, from St. Louis, Missouri, weighing in at 245 pounds, he is one half of the AXW Tag Team Champions, "War Machine" AUSTIN GRAVES!
Graves pays no attention to the crowd whether they boo or cheer him, and he’s focused like a laser beam on the task at hand. Rolling into the ring under the bottom rope, he rolls to his feet and walks over to the hard (tv) camera side of the ropes, placing both hands on the top ropes, pressing down on them slightly, staring coldly into the camera at first, then giving way to a cold, almost sick half smile as if to say, “I’m going to enjoy this…”
vs.
As soon as the bell sounds, Austin tries to throw various strikes, but Leland manages to doge them all. Leland quickly leaps up and takes Austin down with a hurricanrana. Austin throws a clothesline which Leland counters with a Ducking, armtrap, turnout neckbreaker. Austin kicks out at 1 and gets back up to his feet. Leland hits him with a Roaring Elbow. Austin responds right back with a Belfast Kiss! (Sharp Headbutt Served deliberately to the bridge of the nose). Leland falls to the mat holding his nose. While on his knees Leland gets hit with a Sliding Full Force Lariat. Austin locks Leland in a Cravate, before eventually delivering a cutter. Austin whips Leland to the ropes where he looks to execute a Pop-up Powerbomb, but Leland counters with another hurricanrana, this time causing Austin to get draped on the second rope. Leland wastes no time as he follows up with a 3-1-3 (Tiger Feint Kick/619). Leland springboards back into the ring and nails Austin with a Flying Chuck (Springboard Roundhouse). Leland springboards off the rope where he delivers a Springboard Imploding Frogsplash, earning a two count. Leland ascends to the top turnbuckle, but Austin hits the top rope, causing Leland to lose his balance and get racked up on the turnbuckle. Austin brings Leland to the mat with a War Spike (Top Rope Hung Spike DDT). Austin drops Leland to the mat with a Grave Robber (Scoop lift spun out into an over the shoulder back to belly piledriver), getting a two count off of it. Austin brings Leland to his feet and connects with a Five Finger Death Punch (Short Arm Heart Punch), and doubles him over as he looks to set up Cradle 2 Grave (Package Piledriver), but Leland counters with a back body drop. Leland nails Austin with a Snap Spinning Rear Thrust Kick. Leland starts to set up the Next Generation (Small Package Driver), but suddenly Austin reverses with a small package pin, getting the surprise three count on Leland.
Jen Brunelli: Here is your winner, AUSTIN GRAVES!
Lily Luna: Austin bringing some momentum to the side of War Horse as it appears they and The Takeover will clash once more.
Chris Pierce: Another great tag team classic coming up from these two, I look forward to it.
Austin rolls out of the ring and grabs his AXW Tag Team Championship. He holds it up as he backs up the ramp. The crowd starts making some noise and Austin turns around just in time to deck Malcolm M. Mitchell with the title. Austin questions if anyone else is gonna try to jump him, then says "Better luck next time!"
-----
We return backstage where TO'A is throwing punches and kicks at a punching bag. Justin Wyndham approaches him.
Justin Wyndham: Hey.
TO'A: Hey.
Justin Wyndham: Have you given it any thought?
TO'A: I haven't made a decision yet.
Justin Wyndham: Well, I uh, already signed us up for the WSW Tag Team Tournament.
TO'A: So you're making decisions for me?
Justin Wyndham: No, I just wasn't expecting you to take two weeks to respond.
TO'A: Well, we're already in it. Might as well give this thing a shot then.
TO'A holds out his fist. Justin places his fist on top of TO'A's. We cut back to ringside.
-----
Jen Brunelli is stood in the middle of the ring, holding the AXW Light Heavyweight Championship.
Jen Brunelli: Ladies and gentlemen, this is your Main Event! It's a Triple Threat Match set for one fall, and is for the AXW Light Heavyweight Championship!
"Dammit" takes over the sound system and out walks Sam De Santa, who stops on the stage with her hand on her hip. Trent Mathews makes his way out from the back, and steps in front of Sam, dropping to his knees with his arms outspread. Pyro rains from the top of tron behind them. They make their way down the ramp. Trent slides into the ring and Sam walks up the steps. Trent climbs a turnbuckle and looks around at the crowd, taking in their reactions. He climbs down and holds his arms back, allowing SDS to remove his jacket. He looks into the hard camera with his arms spread to his sides, with Sam standing right behind him, moving her arms back and forth in front of Trent's stomach, signalling he is leaving with the title tonight.
‘Invincible’ by Adelitas Way hits and Acer Stone runs out from the back looking pumped up and energetic. He heads down the ramp and punches the air three times as red pyros go off at the top of the ramp behind him. Acer heads over to the fans and slaps hands with them as he gets to the ring. He climbs into the ring and works the crowd a little more before they join him in punching the air three times.
"Hate Me" by Blue October plays of the P.A. system as the camera pans over the arena stopping at the entrance way as Danny Hall, sporting a fur vest, strolls down to the ring stopping sometimes to yell at children, then when he gets to the ring he rolls under the bottom rope to sit in the corner then he stands up.....in the corner.
Jen Brunelli: Introducing first, the challenger, accompanied to the ring by Sam De Santa, from Owasco, New York, weighing in at 217 pounds, TRENT MATHEWS!
Sam raises Trent's hand.
Jen Brunelli: And his opponents, first, from Tampa, Florida, weighing in at 165 pounds, he is the co-holder of the AXW Light Heavyweight Championship, ACER STONE!
Acer takes the title from Jen and raises it into the air with one had, punching the air three times with the other.
Jen Brunelli: And from Camden, Tennessee, weighing in at 220 pounds, he is also the co-holder of the AXW Light Heavyweight Championship, "Mr. Most Hated" DANNY HALL!
Danny rips the title from Acer's hands and hoists it up high, soaking in the boos from the crowd.
vs. vs.
AXW Light Heavyweight Championship
Danny and Acer decide it's best to team up on Trent, hitting him with punches and kicks. Acer plants Trent with a Flapjack. Danny nails Trent with a Shot Heard Round The World(Superkick). Trent rolls out of the ring and Acer rolls Danny up with a School Boy, getting a two count. Danny hits Acer with a Throat Chop, followed up with a Double-Arm DDT that sees a two count. Trent starts climbing onto the apron, and gets knocked back down when Danny whips Acer into him. Danny brings Acer down with a German Suplex. Danny runs the ropes as he looks to hit the Clothesline From Hall(Clotheline from Hell), but Acer ducks it. Acer runs to the ropes and springs off the second rope, nailing Danny with a Disaster Kick. Acer connects with a Spinning Neckbreaker and goes for a cover, getting another two count. Acer sees Trent trying to get back into the match and Dropkicks him off the apron. Sam De Santa is getting frustrated that Trent can't even enter the ring. Acer stuns Danny with a Discus Elbow Smash, then lifts him for a Stalling Suplex. Acer kicks Danny in the gut, punches the air three times, then delivers the Stone Cutter (Axe Kick). Acer climbs to the top rope, where Sam pushes him off. Acer lands on his feet in the ring, and ducks through the ropes to confront Sam. He suddenly gets a ladder to the head from Trent! Trent slides the ladder in the ring and then slides in himself. Trent is immediately met with an Enzuigiri from Danny. Danny doubles Trent over before delivering a Release Powerbomb onto the ladder! Trent wrenches in pain before Danny covers him, getting a two count. Danny runs to the ropes and nails Trent with the Clothesline From Hall. Danny again has Trent doubled over, perhaps looking for Halls Frozen Over(Canadian Destroyer), but Acer leaps over Trent to hit Danny with a knee attack. Acer grabs the ladder and places it over his head, and spins around like a helicopter to take both Trent and Danny down. Acer sets the ladder up and begins to climb it. He reaches the top, the crowd cheering for him. The crowds cheers turn into panic when Sam De Santa enters the ring, and starts to push the ladder over. Acer Stone falls from the top of the ladder to the arena floor, hitting with a loud thud as there's nothing to break his fall. Sam exits the ring as Danny and Trent start to get to their feet. Danny throws a punch which Trent ducks, Trent lifting Danny up for a Uranage Backbreaker. After an unsuccessful pin attempt, Trent hits Danny with a European Uppercut, quickly followed by a Rolling Elbow. Trent lifts Danny up before driving him to the mat with a Brainbuster. We see a shot of EMTs coming to the aid of Acer, who has not moved an inch from his fall. From inside the ring, Trent slowly climbing to the top turnbuckle, and dives off for Etrentity (Phoenix Splash)! But Danny gets his knees up! Danny quickly rolls Trent up with a sort of small package pin.
One!
Two!
Suddenly, Sam alters the pin so it's Trent with the small package on Danny, with Sam putting all of her body weight in the pin as well!
One!
Two!
Three!
Jen Brunelli: Here is your winner, and the NEW AXW Light Heavyweight Champion, TRENT MATHEWS!
Lily Luna: Trent Mathews and Sam De Santa just pulled off a... heist! That's the only word I can think of to describe this!
Chris Pierce: Sam is the woman with a plan, she knew all along that when it's a Triple Threat, anything is legal, including her involvement in the match.
Lily Luna: This has been months in the making for Trent Mathews, since returning from injury in January. Regardless of how he went about it doing it, congratulations on your title win, Trent.
Sam and Trent quickly exit the ring as Danny Hall is in a state of pure shock. Sam raises Trent's hand on the ramp, Trent using his other hand to clutch at his stomach. Senior Official Matt Baker rushes over and hands the AXW Light Heavyweight Championship to Trent. Trent rest the belt on his shoulder as he has one arm raised by Baker and the other by De Santa. Danny's shock turns into anger as he chucks the ladder out of the ring, nearly avoiding them. Trent stands on the stage with Sam, the two sharing a hug before Trent raises the title, pyro blasting behind them.
Lily Luna: What an ending to this week's Alternative! That's all we have for this week, tune in to AXW next week where we know that Ethan Cutler and Jack Adams will take on the newcomers of Beauty and the Jekyll!
