Portland, Oregon
Episode XXXVI
Pyro blasts from the stage before cameras pan across the crowd, showing the fans in attendance tonight.
Mike Vincent: This is AXW! I'm Mike Vincent with Cole Haywood, let's just get right down to some action!
Major Lazer - Light It Up (feat. Nyla & Fuse ODG) comes over the arena speakers as the lights dim and a pale pulsing red light covers the arena. Out walks a woman walking with a sexy skull cane and stands on the stage and using both hands she leans on the cane and smiles. The sage drops sparkly red shower of sparks. She kicks the can from underneath herself as two pyros explode either side of the arena stage and she begins to stroll down to the ring and then turns and faces up the ramp with her arms out wide dawning the ring apron while still holding the cane.
Salvatore Pellegrino: This opening contest is scheduled for one fall, introducing first, making her AXW Debut, from London, England, ENIGMA!
Mike Vincent: I know you've been excited for this newcomer's debut, Cole, so why don't you go ahead and tell us a little about her.
Cole Haywood: She's a gorgeous woman from across the pond. Very intelligent, she has a PhD in Astrophysics, and is a very skilled wrestler looking to make her name in the states. To describe her in one word, she is Enigma.
She chucks the cane to the ring steps and rolls under the bottom rope and up onto her feet before raising both arms to the crowd over by the ropes.
"Nothing Left to Lose" takes over the sound system. Out walks Zoey Mathews-Mitchell, dressed in tight jeans with her knee pads and boots over them, and a cut off t-shirt. She stops on the stage, brandishing her trusty kendo stick.
Salvatore Pellegrino: And her opponent, representing The Takeover, from Riviera Beach, Florida, ZOEY MATHEWS-MITCHELL!
Mike Vincent: I had a chance to talk to Zoey before we went on air, she's admitted to still not being 100%, but demanded to get in the ring and let out some frustration.
Cole Haywood: Good thing Enigma can't hear our commentary right now, what's Zoey thinking revealing she's not at 100%? That just gives her opponent a target.
Zoey makes her way down the ramp before rolling in the ring. She makes a b-line towards Enigma, but referee Brian Sullivan holds her back and instructs her she has to put her kendo stick down. She places it under the bottom turnbuckle before the bell is rung.
vs.
Enigma is expecting a lock up but is instead tackled to the mat by Zoey. Zoey delivers a flurry of punches before bringing Enigma to her feet and delivering a Butterfly Backbreaker. Zoey follows up with a Dragon Suplex. Enigma tries fighting back with a clothesline but Zoey catches the arm for an Arm Trap Neckbreaker. Zoey brings Enigma to her feet where Enigma delivers a Hacker (Codebreaker). Zoey is kicked in the gut and taken to the mat with a Swinging Neck Breaker. Enigma sends Zoey to the ropes and plants her with a Spine Buster. Enigma then runs the ropes, where she nails Zoey with a Bicycle Kick. Enigma whips Zoey to the ropes once again but this time Zoey counters with a Tilt-a-whirl DDT. Upon getting back to their feet, Zoey rocks Enigma with a Roundhouse Kick, followed by a Jawbreaker. Zoey pulls herself up to the second rope, and dives off with a Diving Back Elbow. Zoey then runs the ropes before taking Enigma down with a Shotgun Kick. Zoey goes out to the apron and climbs to the top rope, but Enigma is back to her feet and prevents her from jumping off. Enigma brings Zoey back to the mat with a Superplex. Enigma now ascends to the top turnbuckle where she looks for a Frogsplash, but Zoey just rolls out of the way. Enigma gets to her feet, clutching at her stomach, and walks right into a Z4 (C4/Flip Bottom) from Zoey! Zoey doesn't go for a pin, rather she wants to inflict more pain, as she locks Enigma in the Vertabender (Haas of Pain)! Enigma has no choice but to tap.
Salvatore Pellegrino: Here is your winner as a result of a submission, ZOEY MATHEWS-MITCHELL!
Mike Vincent: Despite admitting to not be 100%, I really couldn't tell the difference from Zoey tonight.
Cole Haywood: Enigma should have stepped into this one with a better strategy, she should have better targeted Zoey's midsection.
"Nothing Left to Lose" plays throughout the arena once more, as Zoey keeps the hold locked in for a few moments after the match has ended. She goes to the corner and grabs her kendo stick, and wails away on Enigma. Zoey notices the crowd's reaction changing and turns just in time to hit Janet Hurricane in the gut with the kendo stick. Zoey lifts Janet onto her shoulders, but Janet slips free. Janet tries grabbing Zoey's kendo stick, but Zoey stomps on her hand, and Janet rolls out of the ring to avoid any further confrontation. Zoey demands that Janet get back in the ring, but Janet backs up the ramp shaking her head.

We're backstage with Max Kilburne.
Max Kilburne: Hello, ladies and gentlemen, my guest at this time is Crash Jackson.
Crash steps up next to Max.
Max Kilburne: Crash, last week you walked out on your match with Gabe Shelley. Do you care to explain that? Do you perhaps lack the confidence to beat him?
Crash Jackson takes a moment to look at Max.
Crash Jackson: I'll give credit where credit is due, you got some balls to say that to my face. Do I lack confidence? Hell no. I'm just not gonna fight Gabe Shelley just because I'm told to. I'll fight him when I want to fight him. And I want to fight him at Horizon. You see, Horizon will be airing live on the BWF Network, which means there's gonna be some eyes on me that normally aren't on me. Eyes from BWF fans who might not regularly watch AXW. And I want those BWF fans to watch closely as I decimate their hero. And to show you how confident I am, Max, if I don't leave Gabe Shelley in a crumpled heap at Horizon, if I don't walk away victorious, then I will quit AXW.
Crash walks away, leaving Max a little surprised at his announcement.
-----
"Cut the Cord" starts as Michael walks out and drops down to one knee and holds up his arms then Bray walks out in his hat and coat and puts his hands on Mike's shoulders and slaps them, then Michael stands and they both walk down then Bray crouches down to remove his hat then his coat and he runs into the ring and lays on the mat staring at his opponent(s) while Michael climbs up to the apron and climbs to the second rope and does a warrior shout while pounding his chest, then he jumps down to the ring.
Salvatore Pellegrino: The following tag team contest is scheduled for one fall! Introducing first, from Hoboken, New Jersey, at a combined weight of 471 pounds, the team of Michael Veaga and "The Krazy Karney" Bray Coleman, BEAUTY AND THE JEKYLL!
"The Instinct" hits and Ethan Cutler steps out from the back, gripping the elbow pad for his right arm in hand. He takes a good look at the crowd before raising his right arm high to show off his "Off With Their Head" tattoo on his outer forearm and high-arched pyro fountains ignite on either side of the ramp." He lowers his arm and slides the elbow pad on, then proceeds to walk down the ramp under the archway of pyro.
Salvatore Pellegrino: And their opponents, first, representing the Steve Corman Guys, from Rapid City, North Dakota, weighing in at 232 pounds, he is “Mr. Clothesline” ETHAN CUTLER!
Upon reach the ring he jumps from the ring floor onto the apron, then steps through the ropes. After bouncing off the ropes a few times, he settles down and waits at once side for the match to begin.
"Too Drunk to Fuck" by the Dead Kennedys kicks in as a smirking Jack Adams comes jogging out from the back. He looks at the crowd, laughing to himself as he walks to the ring, all the while Adams is goading the fans and provoking them, daring them to punch him, before feigning punching them himself. Generally, just being a bully.
Salvatore Pellegrino: And his partner, also representing the Steve Corman Guys, from Fort Payne, Alabama, weighing in at 230 pounds, he is the AXW Xperience Champion, "The Last Real Man Alive" JACK ADAMS!
Adams slides into the ring and being the dick he is, just yells to the hard camera "LAST REAL MAN ALIVE!"
vs.
The match begins with Ethan Cutler squaring up with Bray Coleman. The two tie up in the center of the ring and Cutler uses his strength to overpower Coleman, shoving him backwards into a corner before unleashing a flurry of rights, lefts, and elbows before being backed off by the referee. Cutler pulls Coleman out of the corner and lifts him up in the air, holding him upside down for several seconds and nailing a delayed vertical suplex! He pulls Coleman back to his feet and brings him to the corner his partner is in. He tags in Adams and holds Bray’s right arm above his head. Adams delivers a hard right hand into Coleman’s side. Adams begins to deliver a few knife edge chops to Coleman. He then pulls him out of the corner and whips him into the ropes. He ducks down for a back body drop, but Coleman stops dead in his tracks and kicks Adams in the face! Coleman goes on the assault, delivering a right and a left to Adams as he’s on his heels, and then goes for a clothesline, but Adams ducks under, wraps his hands around Coleman’s waist, and delivers a German suplex! On the apron, Michael Veaga is rooting his partner on and begging for a tag, so Adams walks over, talks some trash, and delivers a forearm to him, knocking him off! The attention is back on Bray. Adams pulls him to his feet and delivers a Guillotine neckbreaker. He walks Bray over to the corner and tags in Cutler. Cutler immediately delivers a bridging Northern lights suplex and the pin, but Coleman kicks out! Cutler gets to his feet and goes to the opposite side of the ring. He begins to strip away his right elbow bad. Bray groggily begins to get to his feet, facing away from Cutler, and Cutler gets down into his three point stance! Coleman is to his feet and turns. Cutler takes off, looking for the Verdict Lariat, but Coleman ducks it! Cutler spins around after the dodge and Coleman hits him with a hellacious super kick! Both men go down in the center of the ring. Veaga is screaming at Coleman, egging his partner on. He paces the apron as the two men begin to stir. The race to their partners begins and Cutler gets to his first, slapping Adams’s hand! Adams hops in and grabs Coleman’s leg, preventing him from making the tag, but Coleman mule kicks Adams, sending him skittering backwards, and Coleman leaps forward to make the take to Veaga! Veaga nails Jack with a shoulder block! He’s immediately back to his feet and Veaga delivers a running lariat! Again, back to his feet, and this time Veaga nails jack with his signature Strongman Spinebuster! Veaga is looking to close this one out and gets Adams into position for the Death Breaker when Cutler breaks it up with an Enziguri! Veaga is staggered by this and Coleman tries to enter the ring, but the referee ushers him away, trying to regain control of the match! Cutler, still in the ring, explodes at the staggered Veaga for the Verdict Lariat! Cutler exits the ring and Adams gets back to his feet. He grabs Veaga’s legs and locks in a High Angle Boston Crab on him in the center of the ring while Cutler yanks Bray Coleman’s feet out from under him on the apron! With nowhere to go, Veaga has no choice and taps out.
Salvatore Pellegrino: Here are your winners, Jack Adams and Ethan Cutler!
Mike Vincent: What a tag team bout this was. The newcomers Beauty and the Jekyll were able to stand toe to toe with two of the most hard hitting guys here.
Cole Haywood: But they failed! Jack and Ethan do what they do best and that is win. They are ready for the upcoming WSW Tag Team Tournament.
Jack and Ethan celebrate their win. Jack hoists his Xperience Championship into the air as the two raise each other's hands. They exit the ring where they're greeted by Caitlin Shay and Damien Steele, who congratulate them on their win.

We return from commercials, where Danny Hall is sitting in a chair in the ring.
Mike Vincent: We were expecting our next contest here, but it looks like we're instead gonna get Danny Hall.
Cole Haywood: Oh boy.
Danny Hall: Congratulations, Trent! You did it! You won the Light Heavyweight Championship! Or... actually... now that I think about it, you didn't. Sam won the Light Heavyweight Championship for you. I won the title without the help of anyone. I didn't need you to get where I wanted, but I used you anyway just to get there quicker. I guess you were too dumb to see that, which made it all better when I ditched you at Breakdown and won the Light Heavyweight Title without your help. I'm not leaving this ring until I get rematch for MY AXW Light Heavyweight Championship. So Trent, leave your bitch in the back and come fight me like a man!
A few seconds pass, then:
This is of course not Trent's music, rather Sam De Santa's. She walks out onto the stage, in possession of the newly designed Light Heavyweight Championship, and makes her way down into the ring.
Danny Hall: I don't know why I expected any different.
Sam De Santa: Because you're the dumb one, Danny. Do you really think Trent's gonna waltz right down here and give you a title match just because you ask for one? Unfortunately, yes, you are entitled to the rematch. But that will not be happening tonight. It will be happening at Horizon.
Danny Hall: You know what? I don't have a problem with that. That's fine. I have a problem with you, however.
Sam De Santa: I'm sorry to hear that, Danny. At least, that's what I'd say if I gave a rat's ass what you think. Now if you'll excuse me, my business here is done, and I wish you luck on your match with Trent at Horizon, because that's the only way you're taking this back.
Sam turns to exit the ring, but Danny spins her around and lifts her onto his shoulders, looking to drop her with a Hallway to Hell (Roode Bomb). SDS squirms and flails which prevents Danny keeping a good grip on her, which is just enough for Trent Mathews to slide in the ring and chop block Danny. Danny falls to his knees and Sam gets off of his shoulders unscathed. Danny holds the back of his knee, and before he knows it is out cold via Trentsetter (Shining Wizard to the Back of the head). Trent picks up the Light Heavyweight Championship and rests it on his shoulder.
Trent smirks at the laid out Danny, and then holds the ropes open for Sam to exit the ring, the two making their way to the back.

The energetic opening to “I Can't Drive 55” hits the speakers as out stomps the Cross City Stallions looking cocky aggressive and ready to roll! They strike a pose in a similar fashion to DX and throw up the 'cross' arm sign as a shoutout to their hometown on their way out and then Marky Mustang strikes a one knee kneeling pose while his brother Max Maximus stands behind him, unleashing a primal scream as the two throw their arms out and pose.
Salvatore Pellegrino: This next tag team contest is scheduled for one fall! Introducing first, from Cross City, Florida, at a combined weight of 503 pounds, Marky Mustang and "Mammoth" Max Maximus, CROSS CITY STALLIONS!
The two then walk down to the ring chewing gum and not really giving a damn how the crowd is reaction either way as they slide into the ring and ready for the match.
The opening beat of "ultranumb" by Blue Stahli as the crowd goes in a frenzy, hyped to see the arrival of "The World Warrior" The cameras focused on the countdown clock shown in the titantron while we hear a voice say, "Ultranumb"
"THREE. THREe, THRee, THree,Three
"TWO, TWO., two two
ONE"
"YOU WANT IT ALL RIGHT NOW"
The lights starts to flicker before coming back to normal as Justin Wyndham comes out with a smile on his face. He bends down on both knees and looks at his imaginary "watch" before getting up and does a cut throat sign.
Salvatore Pellegrino: And their opponents, first, from Cloverleaf, Texas, weighing in at 210 pounds, he is "The World Warrior" JUSTIN WYNDHAM!
He then gets up before running down to the ring in full speed. Once he enters the ring, he bangs his head to the nearest turnbuckle, hyping himself up before looking back at the crowd with a sick smile. He then climbs at the turnbuckle and does the cuthroat sign before getting off and waiting for his match to start
"Second Sucks" by A Day to Remember plays and out walks Toa with the towel, drenched in blood, wrapped around his neck. He is staring down on the ground and listening to the boos and cheers coming from the fans.
"FIGHT"
Once he hears the opening line, he starts walking down the ramp, still not showing his face.
Salvatore Pellegrino: And his partner, from the Isle of Samoa, weighing in at 280 pounds, "Samoan Executioner" TO'A!
When he walks up the steel steps and enters the ring, he throws the towel on the ground and does a battle cry.
vs.
Justin starts the match with Marky. The two lock up with Marky getting Justin in a side headlock. Justin pushes Marky off to the ropes and looks for an arm drag but Marky reverses with an arm drag of his own. Marky takes Justin back down with a T-Bone Suplex. Marky gets a quick one count before locking in a reverse chin lock. Justin fights out of it, and brings Marky to the mat with a snapmare, following it up with a dropkick to the back. Justin tries to whip Marky to the ropes but Marky sends Justin instead, Justin nailing Marky with The Suicide Blonde (Daniel Bryan’s Inazuma Leg Lariat) on the rebound. Justin sends Marky to his team's corner and tags in TO'A. Justin holds Marky in the corner while TO'A runs the ropes, Justin steps out of the way and exits the ring as TO'A nails Marky with a forearm smash. TO'A follows up with the Executioner (Jumping twisting enzuigiri while facing away from a cornered opponent). Marky slumps down in the corner, allowing TO'A to execute a Samoan Wrecking Ball (Running hip attack to the head of an opponent seated in the corner with theatrics). TO'A pulls Marky away from the ropes and gets a two count. TO'A lifts Marky up for a suplex, but Marky lands on the mat behind him and dives to tag in Max. Max enters the ring and the two big men shortly stare down, before engaging in a straight up fist fight. TO'A ends up looking for some separation as he simply shoves Max away, but Max bounces right back and takes TO'A off his feet with a Big Boot. Max brings TO'A to his feet before delivering a Hangman's Neckbreaker. Max brings TO'A towards the CCS corner via German Suplex. Max tags in Marky as the two team up on TO'A, slamming him down with a Hart Attack (spinebuster and clothesline). Marky doubles TO'A over as he starts to set up the Wyld Stallyns DDT(Future Shock DDT), but TO'A spins out of it and lifts Marky up, before planting him to the mat with an Island Driver (Sitout side powerslam)! TO'A tags in Justin, who jumps up to the top turnbuckle. TO'A runs across the ring and blasts Max off the apron while Justin dives onto Marky with EL Fenix(Phoenix Splash)! Gus Ramos makes the three count.
Salvatore Pellegrino: Here are your winners, JUSTIN WYNDHAM and TO'A!
Mike Vincent: Justin Wyndham and TO'A just defeated former AXW Tag Team Champions, I think it's safe to say they're gonna do just fine as a team.
Cole Haywood: Despite how I might feel about the pairing, these two are both former world champions, Justin here in AXW and TO'A in CCW. If they can work this well together, then I think there may be no stopping them, honestly.
Gus raises both hands of the victors. Justin extends his hand, and TO'A accepts the handshake. They exit the ring, Justin taking the time to high five some fans while TO'A simply walks up the ramp.

We return backstage, this time with Brad Adams.
Brad Adams: Ladies and gentlemen, I am joined by Damien Steele. Damien, do you have any comments about Deimos recently assaulting you?
Damien Steele: I'm gonna be honest with you, Brad... I'm excited.
Brad Adams: ...Excited?
Damien Steele: Yes. I'm excited to do to Deimos what he did to me. Do you remember last August, Brad? Deimos debuted at my expense. I haven't forgotten about that. Now, he seems to want more. But what he fails to realize, is how dangerous I really am. I'm not called "The Vicious One" without reason. I've competed in violent, gruesome matches. I took out Jonathan Fhenix with nothing more than my knee. So, Deimos. You want to fight? Name the time and the place and I'll be there.
Suddenly, Damien gets clobbered from behind. Deimos, a man who is usually booed, is getting some cheers as his hometown crowd watches on on the jumbotron. Deimos throws Damien as hard as he can into a wall. He squats down next to Damien, and simply says:
Deimos: Horizon.
Deimos walks off as Brad calls for some help for Damien.

"Invincible" by Amaranthe hits, the fast pounding drums blaring loudly from the speakers as the lights dim completely. They come back to Android 18 standing at the entrance ramp, head down, the words 'The code awakens me' flash along the jumbotron behind her as she opens her eyes and brings her head up slowly. She walks stoically down the ramp, a smirk spreading over her face as she goes.
Salvatore Pellegrino: This next contest is scheduled for one fall, introducing first, from Cork, Ireland, ANDROID 18!
She stops in the middle of the ramp, raising her hands to actually sign the words 'I am Invincible.' Before continuing on and leaping straight up onto the ring post, she signs ''I am Invincible' one more time, entering the ring and awaiting the match to start.
"Snake Charmer" hits as a strobe light show begins. A little bit of smoke pours over the stage. A little after 30 seconds, when the snare roll comes in, is when Caitlin Shay emerges from the back. She stops on the stage, and looks around the crowd, sneering, unhappy about having to be in Portland.
Salvatore Pellegrino: And her opponent, representing the Steve Corman Guys, from Pinecrest, Florida, CAITLIN SHAY!
She makes her way down to the ring, where she climbs onto the apron. She takes a moment to talk down to the crowd before entering the ring. She walks to the opposite ropes, with her arms spread, and a smile on her face as if to say, "I'm better than you." The music fades out as we await for the match to start.
vs.
Android comes right out of the gate hitting Caitlin with some hard strikes. Caitlin ducks between the ropes to get some separation. Upon looking to continue her attack, Android gets a dropkick to the knee, and falls into the ropes. Caitlin places her knee on the back of Android's head, forcing her throat into the rope. Caitlin brings Android to the mat with a Snap Powerslam and only gets a one count. Upon the two getting to their feet, Caitlin connects with a Jumping Shoulder Jawbreaker, and gets another one count. Caitlin follows up with a Fisherman Suplex, bridging into a cover, getting another one count. Caitlin gets in the face of referee Jessie McCormick, instructing that she counts faster. Caitlin turns around and is nearly cut right in half by a Super Electric Strike (Striking spear)! Android delivers some mounted punches to Caitlin. Android lifts Caitlin to her feet and drives her to the mat with a Sitout Powerbomb, Android getting a two count. Caitlin gets up and gets rocked by a High knee. Android hooks Caitlin's arms and delivers a Lifting Double Underhook Facebuster. After an unsuccessful pin attempt, Android delivers some Non-stop Violence (Spinning headlock elbow drop). Android takes to the air as she springs off the second rope with Graceful Orbit (Lionsalt). Android get another two count, and looks to end it. She wrenches the arm of Caitlin as she looks to deliver a Buster Swing (Inverted stomp facebreaker), but Caitlin counters by wrenching Android's arm, and taking her down with her own move: Buster Swing! Caitlin is upset when it's only a two count. Caitlin again argues with Jessie, but this time when she turns her attention back to Android, ducks a clothesline and slams Android to the mat with a Shayplex (Half Dragon Half Tiger Suplex). Caitlin claims it's over as she grabs Android's legs and looks to drive her to the mat with the Broken Ending (Wheelbarrow Driver), but Android counters with a wheelbarrow roll-up, getting the three count on Caitlin!
Salvatore Pellegrino: Here is your winner, ANDROID 18!
Mike Vincent: Android 18 is the first to pick up a clean win in this feud.
Cole Haywood: This is truly the upset of the century! Caitlin is the Greatest AXW Women's Champion Ever! Of All Time! And she just lost to Android 18!
Android rolls out of the ring and backs up the ramp, a grin on her face. Meanwhile, Caitlin is again arguing with Jessie McCormick, this time telling her she counted too fast! To say Caitlin is frustrated is an understatement, as she grabs the referee and slams her to the mat with a Reverse STO! Caitlin transitions into the Koji Clutch, the combination known as the Kiss of Death II! The poor referee is screaming out in pain and tapping on Caitlin's leg, but the move is not broken until other referees come down and pull Caitlin off of her. They drag Caitlin to the back, who is kicking and screaming, stating that Jessie counted too fast and she should have won.
-----
After a quick advert for the AXW Store, we return to ringside.
Salvatore Pellegrino: Ladies and gentlemen... at this time, please welcome our special guest for this evening... the host of E-Phoend TV... "The Emerald Phoenix" EMILY CORLEN!
The lights in the arena come up and we see former Five-Time World Champion Emily Corlen standing in the ring, surrounded by her E-Phoend TV talk segment set. The AXW crowd reacts favorably for the unannounced appearance of the BWF-contracted competitor as her theme music, "The Look" by Roxette, dies down.
Emily Corlen: HELLO, ALTERNATIVE XPERIENCE WRESTLING!!! HOW THE HELL ARE YA!?
The crowd pops.
Emily Corlen: Y'know, before I get to E.P.T. tonight, can I just say how legit excited I am to be here? I've never had the opportunity to compete inside an AXW ring before, and... I mean, I'm not competing tonight either, but at least I'm HERE! And that's something! And hey, AXW management, I'd love to come over here for a show or two and show your guys what a real woman can do between these ropes.
She grins as she flexes her buff bicep.
Emily Corlen: But then, that brings me to my guests tonight. See, there's ALREADY a woman here in AXW who has been breaking barriers left and right... your AXW Champion, and one of my best friends in the entire world, "Stutterfly" Starla Gardevoir.
A pop for the Starla namedrop.
Emily Corlen: On May 7 at AXW Horizon, Starla will be defending that Championship against the man she defeated for it - my ex-brother in law, and the man who trained me to become a professional wrestler, the man they call Blazenwing, David Slayton.
Another pop for the namedrop.
Emily Corlen: So, I'm about as partial a party as they could get for this showdown, because not only do I consider both of these individuals family, but I've also kicked both of their asses inside the 20 by 20. Actually, fun fact: during my record-breaking 200 day run as TGW World Champion, I successfully defended my title against both David AND Starla at PWA Genesis. Along with like, eighteen other people. It was kind of a mess, to be honest. And then I -
Emily is interrupted as "Endless Possibility" by Jaret Reddick begins playing over the sound system and the crowd erupts. Starla Gardevoir makes her way out from behind the curtain, hoisting her AXW Championship high in the air. She winks at the fans, slings the title over her shoulder, and skips down to the ring, high fiving a few crowd members as she goes. She slides into the ring, and then holds her belt in the air to another pop before motioning for a mic. A ringside tech tosses her a mic as the music fades and she tosses the title over her shoulder again.
Starla Gardevoir: Sorry, Em. I'm sure you would have gotten to Dave and I... y'know, eventually. But did you possibly forget that you're here to promote us, not yourself?
Emily shrugs and grins.
Emily Corlen: I just think it's very important to remind the fans at home that I'm basically better than both of you.
The crowd "oohs" as Starla smirks, shaking her head.
Starla Gardevoir: Ah ha. Very cute.
Emily Corlen: I'm kidding, of course! I'm really proud of what you've been able to accomplish here in AXW, Katie. And I mean that from the bottom of my heart.
Starla Gardevoir: I sort of figured that when you used my birth name.
Both women smirk and wink at one another.
Starla Gardevoir: So, then. On May 7th, I -
Starla is cut off as "The Phoenix" by Fall Out Boy starts playing and David Slayton bounds onto the stage. He hits a few poses before racing down to the ring and sliding inside. The music cuts out as he calls for his own mic.
David Slayton: Did you two forget about me?
Emily Corlen: Jesus, does nobody in AXW wait for their dang cues?
Starla Gardevoir: Believe me, Dave, I haven't forgotten about you. As I was just about to say, on May 7th, I defend this AXW Championship against the #1 Contender... you.
Emily Corlen: Guys, I already covered that before you came out here.
Both Starla and Dave ignore Emily.
Starla Gardevoir: Dave. The last time you and I had a little heart to heart in the ring like this, I beat you 1, 2, 3 in the middle of this ring to become the AXW Champion. When everyone said I was a fluke, I walked into the Elimination Chamber and proved beyond a shadow of a doubt that I am everything I say that I am. A fighter. A warrior. A survivor. A Champion.
A pause.
Starla Gardevoir: So here we are again, face to face, another moment frozen in time before we clash for this AXW Championship. And I'm going to tell you the same thing today that I told you back on February 20. "When I become World Champion, I'm doing it the right way. No excuses. No regrets." That was never a one-night-only guarantee. It was a promise that I wouldn't tarnish this Championship or my reign by cheating. And after our last few matches, Dave, I think you've learned that I don't need to.
A smirk from Slayton.
David Slayton: Kiddo, I never doubted that you had it in you. The only person who has ever stood in the way of your own success is yourself. I meant what I said two months ago as well... that if anybody was going to beat me for that Championship, I'm legitimately glad it was you.
Dave places a hand on Starla's shoulder.
David Slayton: But. Don't think for one second that this means that I'm just going to roll over and die come Horizon. I busted my ass to beat Clash and Corman two weeks ago to earn this opportunity. And if there's one thing we both know all too well, it's that title opportunities don't come around all that often. At Horizon, you're looking to prove that you're not a fluke, but kid, you already did that. Losing to me isn't going to make you a fluke... it's going to make you the same as everybody else - because lightning doesn't strike twice when you're facing David Slayton.
Starla's eyebrows rise.
Starla Gardevoir: Dave, thanks for the vote of confidence, but in case you forgot, lightning DID strike twice, because I'm pretty sure you're not the one who walked out of the Chamber with the gold.
She closes the gap between herself and Slayton, and then holds the title in the air between them.
Starla Gardevoir: You're hoping to win your ninth World Championship on May 7th, and that's great for you, but I'm looking to hold onto my first. And say what you will, but of the two of us, the only one who has ever lost a World Title... is you.
The crowd "oohs" again as both Dave and Starla seem to be getting fired up.
David Slayton: With all due respect, champ... I'm gonna kick your ass at Horizon... and take back what's mine.
Starla Gardevoir: I'd like to see you try, New Hotness.
Slayton rolls his hand into a fist and smacks it against his hand.
David Slayton: Ohhhh... the old me would've superkicked your head clean off by now. You're lucky I've gotten better at controlling myself.
A mischievous smirk from the Champion.
Starla Gardevoir: ...well, they do say dogs temper with age.
David Slayton: I suppose a bitch would know all about dogs!
Starla's eyes widen, Emily's jaw drops and before anybody can react, Starla's hand flies up and slaps Slayton clean across the face with a CRACK that resounds through the arena. The crowd "oohs" again - but their reaction is even more shocked a moment later when Slayton responds by slapping Starla back! Another loud CRACK echoes through the arena as both Dave and Starla come nose to nose, talking inaudibly.
Emily Corlen: Hey, guys, easy! What about doing things the right way? What about honor?
Finally, a grin stretches across the face of both Champion and challenger; both Slayton and Starla take a step back. Both competitors exit the ring, neither one breaking eye contact with the other. Starla heads back up the ramp while Slayton hops the barricade and walks into the crowd. Meanwhile, Emily is still standing by in the ring, looking somewhat perplexed.
Emily Corlen: Sweet Baby Jesus... and I thought raising three babies at home was chaotic.
She shakes her head as the crowd laughs.
Emily Corlen: Well, those two are certainly fired up, that's for damn sure. And at AXW Horizon on May 7th, we're all going to see what happens when two irresistible forces collide with each other. Gardevoir/Slayton II, AXW Championship on the line, only on the BWF Network! Don't you dare miss it! I know I sure as hell won't!
Emily smiles as "The Look" by Roxette starts playing, the E-Phoend TV logo flashes on-screen again, and the camera fades to commercial.

Arena goes dark and alive from pod plays and clash walks out to a spotlight just on him. Blue rEd and white lights start blaring and he walks down to the ring in his tights and Legend Jacket. Fans start going crazy and clash starts high fiving the all the the fan.
Salvatore Pellegrino: This is your Main Event, scheduled for one fall! introducing first, from Hollywood, California, weighing in at 250 pounds, DAVID CLASH!
Clash takes pictures with the fans and then gets in the ring via the stairs.Clash tosses his jacket over to the time keeper and paoses on the top turnbuckle.
begins to play. The crowd reacts with overall boos and jeers, but there is the small population of fans, for either nostalgia or just plain assholes, that cheer and do the hero worship wave, wearing Icon Merch.
Salvatore Pellegrino: And his opponent, from Hamilton, Ontario, Canada, weighing in at 275 pounds, "The Icon" STEVE CORMAN!
Big Stevie Cool walks out dressed in his classic BSC ring attire, black shiny side lace up pants and a black wrestling tank with "BSC" on the front. As well as a black elbow pad on his right elbow with "ICON" written in gold across it. He stops to look around the arena and the boos being thrown in his direction. Corman makes it very clear to the fans that “all of this” is because of Him. He smiles his cocky smile, then double thumb points to himself, taps his right index finger on his temple and slowly pans his left hand, index finger extended, around the arena; indicating that he’s smarter than each and every one of them, then Corman slowly raises his arms over his head, making the trademark Highrollers hand gesture (basically the wolfpack, while moving his thumbs around in the international sign for MONEY). He makes his way to the ring, as the A-Hole High Rollers fans cheer and do the "Icon" worship wave as Corman nods, points, and smiles at the camera. He climbs the stairs, planting each foot, and walks across the apron. Corman enters the ring. Corman smirks and again repeats the High Rollers hand gesture by the ropes.
vs.
The two lock up. Steve knees David in the gut and delivers a Double Handed Headbutt. Steve looks to set David up for a suplex, but David reverse with a small package. Steve kicks out before Matt Baker can get into proper position. David takes control as he brings Steve down with a Swinging neckbreaker. Clash lifts Steve up for a suplex, getting barely a one count as it's gonna take a lot more to put Steve away. David looks for an early Legend Maker (f5), but Steve counters with a DDT. Steve takes Clash down with The Icon-Plex (Exploder Suplex). Clash uses the corner to help himself up and gets squashed with a big corner splash from Steve. Steve follows up with some Back Elbows to the cornered Clash. Steve runs the ropes only to get taken down by a clothesline from Clash. Clash slams Steve with a Body Slam. Clash goes to the apron and starts climbing the turnbuckles. Steve pushes David off who hits the floor. Steve goes out after him, and slams him head first on the apron. Steve takes his time attacking Clash, fully using the 20 count to his advantage. He delivers some stomps, and slams Clash head first on the steps. Steve whips David into the corner of the barricade and clotheslines him over into the crowd. Steve walks up the steps and back into the ring. Steve leans forward on the ropes, taking it easy as David is getting counted out. David manages to get back into the ring at the count of 18, where Steve immediately attacks him with some stomps. Steve delivers a Falling Fist Drop. Steve allows David to get up on his own power, and David tries for a desperation clothesline which Steve ducks, promptly lifting Clash up for The Iconic Slam (Rock Bottom). Steve climbs to the top rope, removes his elbow pad and tosses it into the crowd, before leaping off with a Superstar Elbow (Test-esk flying elbow). Steve lifts David up as he looks to end it with The Corman Cutter (Tommyhawk), but Clash slips free. Clash turns Steve around and delivers Clash of thunder (Rko)! Matt Baker counts the pin.
Salvatore Pellegrino: Here is your winner, DAVID CLASH!
Mike Vincent: David Clash just defeated Steve Corman, and this isn't gonna sit well with Steve.
Cole Haywood: And here come the Steve Corman Guys! And rightfully so, get this loser Clash out of here.
As Cole just said, Ethan Cutler and Jack Adams have already come down to the ring and beat down David Clash. They chuck Clash out of the ring and toss him hard into the ring steps. Jack holds David up, allowing Ethan to hit him with the Verdict Lariat. Jack then lifts David up for the Gotch-Style Piledriver. Steve has come to and exits the ring. Ethan and Jack lift Clash back up, and assist Steve in connecting with The Corman Cutter on the floor.
Mike Vincent: Clash may have won the match, but the Steve Corman Guys get the last laugh.
Cole Haywood: David Clash has been taught a lesson: don't mess with Steve Corman.
Mike Vincent: That's all for this week, tune into the Alternative next week, the last stop before Horizon, where the Xperience Championship will be on the line!
