Episode XXXVII
After the opening video package, pyro blasts from the stage before cameras pan across the crowd.
Mike Vincent: Welcome ladies and gentlemen, this is AXW! We're coming off of Horizon where two championships have changed hands.
Cole Haywood: Hailey Harris is now the AXW Women's Champion and David Slayton is the AXW Champion.
Mike Vincent: And both those titles are on the line tonight with Olya Oglovska cashing in her rematch clause, and David Slayton will be defending the AXW Championship against Steve Corman.
Cole Haywood: Starla Gardevoir would also be enacting her rematch clause, but it turns out she's knocked up. But we're getting something better out of it, and that's Steve Corman!
Mike Vincent: As always I'm Mike Vincent along with Cole Haywood, let's get this show on the road!
Salvatore Pellegrino: This opening contest is scheduled for one fall, and is for the AXW Xperience Championship, with the added stipulation of Ethan Cutler and TO'A banned from ringside!
The opening beat of "ultranumb" by Blue Stahli as the crowd goes in a frenzy, hyped to see the arrival of "The World Warrior" The cameras focused on the countdown clock shown in the titantron while we hear a voice say, "Ultranumb"
"THREE. THREe, THRee, THree,Three
"TWO, TWO., two two
ONE"
"YOU WANT IT ALL RIGHT NOW"
The lights starts to flicker before coming back to normal as Justin Wyndham comes out with a smile on his face. He bends down on both knees and looks at his imaginary "watch" before getting up and does a cut throat sign. He then gets up before running down to the ring in full speed. Once he enters the ring, he bangs his head to the nearest turnbuckle, hyping himself up before looking back at the crowd with a sick smile. He then climbs at the turnbuckle and does the cuthroat sign before getting off and waiting for his match to start.
"Too Drunk to Fuck" by the Dead Kennedys kicks in as a smirking Jack Adams comes jogging out from the back. He looks at the crowd, laughing to himself as he walks to the ring, all the while Adams is goading the fans and prevoking them, daring them to punch him, before feigning punching them himself. Generally, just being a bully. Adams slides into the ring and being the dick he is, just yells to the hard camera "LAST REAL MAN ALIVE!"
Salvatore Pellegrino: Introducing first, the challenger, from Cloverleaf, Texas, weighing in at 210 pounds, "The World Warrior" JUSTIN WYNDHAM!
Justin looks on as he looks to capture the Xperience Championship.
Salvatore Pellegrino: And his opponent, representing the Steve Corman Guys, from Fort Payne, Alabama, weighing in at 230 pounds, he is the defending AXW Xperience Champion, "The Last Real Man" JACK ADAMS!
Jack holds up his title, not intending on losing it tonight.
A test of strength is proposed by Adams. Wyndham accepts and immediately gets kicked in the knee. Elbow, forearm, and finally a jumping knee strike to the back of the head follow. Adams whips Wyndham into the ropes and hits a Throwdown Spinebuster, followed by a 2 count on the pin. Wyndham rallies back after the pin attempt, delivering lefts and rights before shooting in for a double legged takedown and locking in an armbar. Adams fights back to his feet and Gorilla presses Wyndham, but Wyndham is able to land on his feet behind Adams. Inverted DDT and a pin! 2 count only. Wyndham hits a leg lariat, a running dropkick, and then goes for a springboard tornado DDT, but Adams catches him and plants him with another throwdown powerbomb. Running Corner Powerbomb and Meat Hook Lariat combo from Adams, then he exposes his knee, looking for the Knee Trembler (running knee strike), but Wyndham dodges! He hits a Kenka Kick and then goes for World's Most Wanted (Steve Vick-like Superkick), only for Adams to duck it and instead Adams hits the Last Real Slam (Half Nelson wheelbarrow driver) and the pin: 1, 2, 3!
Salvatore Pellegrino: Here is your winner, and STILL the AXW Xperience Champion, JACK ADAMS!
Mike Vincent: This is a huge win for Adams, solidifying his Xperience Championship run with a win over two time AXW Champion Justin Wyndham.
Cole Haywood: Nah, this is merely another win for Jack Adams. Jack is the Last Real Man after all, and Justin is a mere boy to him.
Jack takes his title, and Ethan Cutler joins him in the ring. The two begin to stomp away on the defenseless Justin. The fans start to cheer as TO'A slides into the ring, taking Ethan and Jack both down. TO'A attacks Jack in the corner, which allows Ethan to attack TO'A from behind. Justin gets back to his feet and tries to even the odds, but at this point security has flooded the ring and keeps them apart.
Luke Mathews makes his way out onto the stage.
Luke Mathews: You guys are constantly at each other's throats, but... there's not really anything at stake, is there? Only one person can hold the Xperience Title, not two. So why don't we put something at stake? Next week, the team of Jack Adams and Ethan Cutler will take on the team of Justin Wyndham and TO'A, where the winning team will be the Number One Contenders to the AXW Tag Team Championships.
Luke Mathews go backstage as security tries to get the four out of the ring, and one by one, team by team, they do.
-----
We fade to backstage where we see Mayhem, pacing back and forth. Suddenly, Marky Mustang approaches him.
Mayhem: What do you want? You here to fight me again? Well, go on, I'm right here.
Mayhem offers his jaw.
Mayhem: Punch me. Punch your brother.
Marky Mustang: It's not what I want, it's what you want. You see, I realize what you really want is to reconnect and spend quality time with your brothers.
Mayhem seems confused.
Marky Mustang: That is why you are now officially a member of the Cross City Stallions. Next week, you and Max will take on Beauty and the Jekyll.
Marky walks off. Mayhem looks on, and his confused state turns into an evil grin.

Salvatore Pellegrino: This next contest is scheduled for one fall, and is for the AXW Women's Championship!
“Like A Prayer” by Madonna plays through the speakers providing a peppy ambiance. The entire arena goes dark momentarily as “Sister Inferior” Olya Latanya Oglovska enters from the ramp with a pair of opera binoculars in her right hand. Three spotlights highlight various audience members who have striking physical attributes. As Olya walks down to the ramp she fans herself with a bidder paddle. Upon reaching the arena floor and within clear eye line of her opponent, all three spotlights converge. Oglovska raises her bidder paddle to indicate she plans on procuring another priceless artifact for her exhibit.
A close up of a rain stained notebook, open to these words, spoken in a whisper by Hailey Harris.
She believed she could, so she did.
Wind from an open window blows the pages as "Stronger Than You Think" by Fireflight blares, a deep pink hue shines down on the hooded figure of one Hailey Harris, clad in a simple gray hoodie, the camera staring at the back, where a matching deep pink heart shines under the light, back around to Hailey who thrusts her arms in the air, pink pyros shooting up as Harris looks to the heavens with a smile before making her way to the ring, slapping hands with fans, her Longshots.
She tosses back her hood at ringside before scaling the ring apron and looking out on her fans, entering the ring and scaling a turnbuckle, pointing out to all of them, before making a heart with her hands, leaping off as "Stronger Than You Think" fades out. She tosses off her hoodie to reveal a fishnet and silver corset top to go with her black leather pants with pink back pockets, pink fingerless gloves, and black boots.
Salvatore Pellegrino: Introducing first, the challenger, from Saratov, Russia, weighing in at 115 pounds, "Sister Inferior" OLYA OGLOVSKA!
Olya looks at the Women's Championship held by Hailey.
Salvatore Pellegrino: And her opponent, from Baltimore, Maryland, weighing in at 127 pounds, she is the defending AXW Women's Champion, "The Longshot" HAILEY HARRIS!
Hailey thrusts her newly won title in the air.
Olya puts Harris in a headlock. Shoved off into the ropes and Harris tries a dropkick, but Olya side steps it and delivers an elbow drop to Harris as soon as she lands. She immediately goes for a guillotine choke, but Harris scrambles out. Back to their feet, the women tangle up again, Olya is shoved into the corner where she forces the ref to break and then cheap shots Harris with a slap to the face. Harris goes after her again but the ref forces the break again. They tie up, Olya with the hip toss followed by some knife-edge chops. The Sambo Suplex comes in followed by a pin, but barely a 2 count. Olya hits a wheelbarrow suplex and when Hailey gets to her feet connects with the Soviet Sickle (Lance Storm's superkick)! Hailey rolls out of the ring. Olya gives chase, but Harris gets back into the ring and then takes control of the match. Clothesline, shoulder block, dropkick, and an enziguri net her said control. Harris continues the attack, unrelenting with a snap DDT, top rope leg drop, and a pin! 2 count. Harris nails the Baltimore Bombshell (Double Underhook Snap DDT) and signals for the end. She goes up top and connects with her finisher, Hailey's Comet (450 Splash), and the pin goes for the 3 count!
Salvatore Pellegrino: Here is your winner, and STILL the AXW Women's Champion, HAILEY HARRIS!
Mike Vincent: Hailey Harris is back on top of the mountain, and she's not gonna let Olya Oglovska push her back off.
Cole Haywood: Hailey is trying her damnedest to become the greatest AXW Women's Champion at her young age of 22, however no one can take that distinction away from Caitlin Shay.
Hailey Harris is handed her AXW Women's Championship, and she raises it high into the air. Olya manages to get back to her feet, and extends her hand for Olya to shake. Hailey instead simply pats Olya on the back, before leaving the ring.

"Rocketman" starts with all of the lights out with some smoke and one spotlight
"She packed my bags last night pre flight
Zero hour nine a.m.
And I'm gonna be high, as a kite by then
I miss the earth so much, I miss my wife
It's lonely out in space
On such a timeless flight
And I think it's gonna be a long long time
Till touch down brings me round again to find
I'm not the man they think I am at home
Oh no, no, no, I'm a rocket man
Rocket man burning out his fuse up here alone"
Then a hooded figure shows up and waits at the spotlight.
"And I think it's gonna be a long long time
Till touch down brings me round again to find
I'm not the man they think I am at home
Oh no, no, no, I'm a rocket man
Rocket man burning out his fuse up here alone"
Ben raises his arms simultaneously taking off his cape and walks to the ring.
Salvatore Pellegrino: This next contest is scheduled for one fall, introducing first, from Mason City, Iowa, weighing in at 223 pounds, BEN "ROCKET MAN" EATR!
"Mars ain't the kind of place to raise your kids
In fact it's cold as Hell
And there's no one there to raise them if you didn't
And all this science, I don't understand
It's just my job, five days a week
A rocket man, a rocket man"
On beat with the song Ben climbs the apron and jumps on the turnbuckle.
"And I think it's gonna be a long long time
Till touch down brings me round again to find
I'm not the man they think I am at home
Oh no, no, no, I'm a rocket man
Rocket man burning out his fuse up here alone
And I think it's gonna be a long long time
Till touch down brings me round again to find
I'm not the man they think I am at home
Oh no, no, no, I'm a rocket man
Rocket man burning out his fuse up here alone"
Ben keeps his arms up then jumps into the ring.
"Now, I think it's gonna be a long long time
And I think it's gonna be a long long time
And I think it's gonna be a long long time
And I think it's gonna be a long long time"
"Smells Like Teen Spirit" plays and when the whole band enters, Jesus Lorenzo makes his way to the ring.
Salvatore Pellegrino: And his opponent, from Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, weighing in at 229 pounds, JESUS LORENZO!
Jesus slides in the ring, and climbs a turnbuckle. He slaps his elbow with his hand, in reference to his WWJD (Rolling Elbow) finisher.
Ben Eatr definitely had his work cut out with him with a true indy standout and WSW star, Jesus Lorenzo, and sensing that, Ben pulled out all the stops early, nailing a taunting Lorenzo with a running knee that send him into the mat, followed by a second, and then a springboard clothesline as the self-proclaimed “Rocket Man” had the crowd behind him and the former WSW Pure Champion reeling early, hitting a hurricarana with a pin attempt for a two count. Lorenzo would scurry to the outside for a breather, as Eatr would then try for a suicide dive, Lorenzo turning it into a brutal spinebuster on the floor, Eatr’s head snapping back as the crowd groaned from the impact. Lorenzo, with a smirk, raises a hand and yells out “Praise Jesus!” before tossing Eatr back into the ring.
Contrasting Eatr’s speed, agility, and high flying skills, Lorenzo would certainly showcase his technical acumen, hitting a stalling brainbuster and a rope assisted swinging neckbreaker, getting a two count of his own. Lorenzo brings Eatr to his feet and opens up with forearms, palm strikes, and a roundhouse kick that sends Eatr into the corner. A corner clothesline finds the mark, as Lorenzo then delivers a T-Bone suplex, sending Eatr flying out of the corner. Lorenzo stands up, clapping his hands together to boos from the crowd. Lorenzo shakes his head, “No, you WILL praise Jesus!” Lorenzo brings Eatr to his feet, talking smack, before Eatr fires off kicks to create separation, then hits a spinning heel kick, followed by a snap DDT, getting a long two count for Eatr.
With the crowd behind him, Eatr waits for Lorenzo to stir, running and hitting the Rocket Shot (running single leg dropkick) which looked picture perfect. Eatr with another cover and another two count. Eatr brings Lorenzo to his feet but is countered with forearm shots. Eatr tries an irish whip but is clobbered by a stiff lariat from Lorenzo. Lorenzo shakes his head and delivers the Jesus Lock DDT, but Eatr gets the right shoulder up! Lorenzo runs his fingers through his hair. Backing Eatr up, he whips him hard into the corner, and charges in, but Eatr side steps as Lorenzo hits the corner sternum first. Lorenzo clutches his chest, as Eatr acts quickly, hooking him up and delivering Eat The Mat (Reverse Alabama Slam) spiking Lorenzo’s face into the mat!
Eatr goes for the cover as the crowd counts along, 1...2..3!
Salvatore Pellegrino: Here is your winner, BEN EATR!
Mike Vincent: Perhaps a shocking win for Ben Eatr tonight, defeating former WSW Pure Champion Jesus Lorenzo tonight.
Cole Haywood: This Jesus guy reminds me a little of Jesse Laurent, what ever happened to that guy?
Post match, Eatr is elated as he celebrates with the ringside fans, Lorenzo clutching his face, still down on the mat.
-----
We return backstage to Max Kilbune.
Max Kilburne: My guest as this time is Janet Hurricane!
The camera pans out to see Janet in frame.
Max Kilburne: Janet, what are your thoughts on Zoey Mathews-Mitchell taking time off?
Janet Hurricane: See ya. You won't be missed. Now that she's finally gone and out of my way, I can focus on other things.
Max Kilburne: We were wondering where Zoey would go after your match, and she answered that right after. On the flip side, where does Janet Hurricane go from here.
Janet holds up her finger.
Janet Hurricane: Up. Another old rival of mine has something I want: the AXW Women's Championship. Or, maybe I'll try competing for the Xperience Championship, I mean, look at where it got Starla Gardevoir before she got knocked up. The possibilities are endless, Mark, but one thing is for sure, and that is that I will keep going up.
Max Kilburne: It's Max.
Janet Hurricane: What?
Max Kilburne: You called me Mark.
Janet Hurricane: Does it really matter? You're a nobody, anyway. I'm out.
Janet leaves.
Max Kilburne: Well, more action is coming up after the break.
UPCOMING MAJOR BWF NETWORK EVENTS
TUESDAY, MAY 17
TUESDAY, JUNE 28
SATURDAY, JULY 2
"Twilight Zone" by Golden Earring plays of the P.A. system as the camera pans over the arena stopping at the entrance way as Danny Hall, sporting a fur vest, strolls down to the ring stopping sometimes to yell at children
Salvatore Pellegrino: Ladies and gentlemen, please welcome the BWF Chaos Theory Champion, "Mr. Most Hated" DANNY HALL!
then when he gets to the ring he rolls under the bottom rope and takes the microphone from Sal.
Danny Hall: I'm done playing games, Trent. Leave your bitch in the back, walk down this ramp, and defend the Light Heavyweight Title against me like a man!
Moments pass.
Out walks Sam De Santa who stops on the stage. Conspicuous by his absence is Trent Mathews.
Danny Hall: Saw that coming a mile away, because as it turns out, Trent is actually the bitch. So Sam, why don't you go to the back, stay there, and send your bitch out here.
Sam De Santa: Well, Danny, I'm out here to inform you that Trent Mathews is not here tonight. Trent has better things to do than spend his time in boring ass Montana. So you will not be getting a title shot tonight. In fact, I don't see why you should get one in the first place. You lost. Accept it. Move on already. Now, I'm gonna get the hell outta here so I don't have to listen to your whining. See you... bitch.
Sam walks to the back.
Danny Hall: Well isn't that great? I came out here looking for a fight, and I'm not leaving without one. The next monkey that walks down this ramp is gonna get his ass kicked courtesy of Mr. Most Hated.
Danny throws the microphone away.
The opening chords of "The Right Direction" by The Red Jumpsuit Apparatus rolls throughout the arena. There’s a fountain of pyro at the three second mark as the song hits. Three spotlights shine and revolve around as if searching for someone, and the fans are on their feet, cheering in anticipation for the hero they know is coming. At the seven second mark, the hooded figure steps from behind the curtain and through the pyro looking down. The song builds to the fourteen second mark as he throws his hood back and arms out, fired up, as there’s a loud pop of orange and white pyro from the stage. Gabe Shelley responds to the cheers of the fans by pounding his chest and pointing out to them. The fans are positively crazy about Gabe. He begins to make his way to the ring and is sure to tap hands of fans on the ramp.
Salvatore Pellegrino: This contest is scheduled for one fall, introducing Danny Hall's opponent, from Columbus, Ohio, weighing in at 220 pounds, here is "the reVolution" GABE SHELLEY!
I will never understand the path you chose
Chemical parasitic waste inside your bowels
So wrap it up while you still can
While you got the offer in
I just can't believe
That you'd throw it all away
Now you falsely return today
As you're falling on your face
Shelley makes his way up the steel steps and jumps to the second turnbuckle and looks around the arena with a smile on his face. He jumps into the ring as his hood comes back up, landing on his feet. He goes to the middle of the ropes ropes facing camera side and jumps to the second one. He flips the hood back once again and makes finger guns at the camera and fires with a wink.
The two lock up, and with the only size difference being Gabe one inch taller, neither budge, until Danny stomps the foot of Gabe. Danny takes Gabe down with a clothesline and follows that up with an enzuigiri. Danny kicks the kneeling Gabe in the side of the head, and lifts him back to his feet. Gabe suddenly delivers a Cannon Ball (Similar to the Codebreaker, but Gabe's knees are in his opponents chest) from seemingly out of nowhere. Gabe sets Danny up in the tree of woe, then gets all the momentum he can before executing a Hesitation Dropkick. Danny falls to the mat and Gabe sends him to the ropes, delivering a Pop Up Flapjack which Gabe immediately follows up with a Shining Wizard. After an unsuccessful pin attempt, Gabe runs to the ropes, as does Danny. Gabe perhaps wasn't expecting to see Danny running at him and thus was unprepared for the Clothesline From Hall(Clotheline from Hell). Danny plants Gabe to the mat with a Double-Arm DDT. If that wasn't enough, Danny follows up with a Reverse Tombstone. Danny doesn't go for a cover here, rather he lifts Gabe onto his shoulders as he looks to set up the Hallway to Hell (Roode Bomb). Gabe Shelley flips out, landing on his feet, kicks Danny in the gut and drops him with the Jersey Cutter (Twist of Fate). Gabe gets a two count off of it, then takes this time to debut Fallout (Double Underhook Front Lungblower into Pin) in AXW, getting another two count off of the pin. Danny is suddenly hoisted onto Gabe's shoulders, as he delivers The reVolt (Cradle Shock), landing in a pin.
Salvatore Pellegrino: Here is your winner, GABE SHELLEY!
Mike Vincent: Danny Hall wanted a fight, and he got one. The problem with calling anyone out is you don't know who you're gonna get.
Cole Haywood: I don't think Danny really cared about winning, as much as just wanting to take out some frustration.
Gabe rolls out of the ring and celebrates with the fans, high fiving them on his way up the ramp. Danny watches on in the ring, on his knees. Suddenly, he's out cold.
Mike Vincent: Trent Mathews! I thought he wasn't even in Montana!
Cole Haywood: That's the brilliance of Sam De Santa, Mike. She made a fool of you and Danny Hall.
Trent Mathews has taken out Danny with the Trentsetter, and stands in the ring with the AXW Light Heavyweight Championship over his shoulder.
-----
We're in a locker room, presumably the one of the Steve Corman Guys, where Damien Steele is standing, his hair in his face.
Damien Steele: Deimos...
He laughs.
Damien Steele: Nothing more than a CHUMP to me. Sure, he got a fluke win over me, but who was really standing tall after the match? Other people have tried to take down Deimos, but they couldn't. What separates me from them is that I am Damien Steele. I'm sure Deimos will want his revenge, and I say, bring it. I will put you back in your place: which is a dog house behind my mansion.
Damien chuckles before we go back to ringside.
-----
begins to play. The crowd reacts with overall boos and jeers, but there is the small population of fans, for either nostalgia or just plain assholes, that cheer and do the hero worship wave, wearing Icon Merch.
Big Stevie Cool walks out dressed in his classic BSC ring attire, black shiny side lace up pants and a black wrestling tank with "BSC" on the front. As well as a black elbow pad on his right elbow with "ICON" written in gold across it. He stops to look around the arena and the boos being thrown in his direction. Corman makes it very clear to the fans that “all of this” is because of Him. He smiles his cocky smile, then double thumb points to himself, taps his right index finger on his temple and slowly pans his left hand, index finger extended, around the arena; indicating that he’s smarter than each and every one of them, then Corman slowly raises his arms over his head, making the trademark Highrollers hand gesture (basically the wolfpack, while moving his thumbs around in the international sign for MONEY). He makes his way to the ring, as the A-Hole High Rollers fans cheer and do the "Icon" worship wave as Corman nods, points, and smiles at the camera. He climbs the stairs, planting each foot, and walks across the apron. He stops and the referee holds open the ropes as Corman enters the ring. Corman smirks and again repeats the High Rollers hand gesture by the ropes.
PUT ON YOUR WAR PAINT!
The lights in the arena all cut to black and the Tron comes to life, pulsating with a green light as a quiet beat gets louder with every flash. It gets faster and faster, and louder with each pulse, until the pulsating light explodes into the words "Blazenwing Rises" and “The Phoenix” by Fall Out Boy blares across the arena sound system.
You are a brick tied to me that's dragging me down
Strike a match and I'll burn you to the ground
We are the jack-o-lanterns in July
Setting fire to the sky
He-here comes this rising tide
So come on
PUT ON YOUR WAR PAINT!
The stage fills with smoke and the crowd rises to their feet, cheering loudly, as the smoke clears on the stage and a man in a dark green trenchcoat stands, head down, facing the Tron. He raises his hands and snaps his fingers, causing four loud bursts of pyro to ignite, two on each side of him, before spinning around Y2J style to reveal David Slayton!
Cross walks and crossed hearts and hope-to-dies
Silver clouds with grey linings
So we can take the world back from the heart-attacked
One maniac at a time we will take it back
You know time crawls on when you're waiting for the song to start
So dance alone to the beat of your heart
His sunglasses shining with the glare from the arena lights, David looks to the left, then to the right, nodding towards the crowd before walking down the ramp. After stopping to slap hands with a few fans, David moves towards the ring steps and hops up and down a few times in front of them before quickly racing up the steps to the apron side facing the stage. He stops and pulls his sunglasses off, then tosses them behind his head into the crowd before leaning down and stepping through the ropes to enter the ring.
Hey young blood
Doesn't it feel like our time is running out?
I'm gonna change you like a remix
Then I'll raise you like a phoenix
You're wearing our vintage misery
No, I think it looked a little better on me
I'm gonna change you like a remix
Then I'll raise you like a phoenix
David walks across the ring and leaps up onto the second rope in the corner nearest the timekeeper, then pulls off his green trenchcoat and tosses it towards the timekeeper. David smirks and points to the fans, then slaps his chest a few times and points up towards the sky, closing his eyes and saying a short prayer. David leaps down from the corner and immediately turns to sit down in the same corner, ala Raven. David then rests his head on the second turnbuckle pad as his theme fades and the crowd continues cheering.
Salvatore Pellegrino: This is your Main Event scheduled for one fall, and it is for the AXW Championship! Introducing first, the challenger, from Hamilton, Ontario, Canada, weighing in at 275 pounds, "The Icon" STEVE CORMAN!
Steve Corman does the High Rollers sign once more.
Salvatore Pellegrino: And his opponent, from Milwaukee, Wisconsin, weighing in at 245 pounds, he is the defending AXW Champion, "The New Hotness" DAVID SLAYTON!
David pulls himself up from the corner and raises his championship into the air, getting face to face with Corman while doing so. Matt Baker holds them apart, before receiving the title, holding it up, then calling for the bell.
The two lock up with Steve Corman picking David up and slamming him to the mat. David gets back up where Steve hits him with several punches before sending him to the ropes. David hits Steve with a forearm smash on the return. David drops Steve to the mat with a Samoan Drop. David then lifts Steve up for one, two, three Vertical Suplexes. Steve kicks out of the pin at two. David irish whips Steve to the corner, and runs at him, only to be caught by the boot of Corman. Steve gets David cornered and hits him with some back elbows, before running across the ring and back for a Body Avalanche. David stumbles out of the corner where Steve then nails him with a Running High Knee. Steve lifts David to his feet to deliver an The Icon-Plex (Exploder Suplex). Steve hooks David's leg but David kicks out at two. Steve doesn't let up his attacks as he slams David down three times with Triple German Suplexes. Steve heads to the apron, where he removes his elbow pad and tosses it into the crowd, and ascends the turnbuckles, diving off with the Superstar Elbow (Test-esk flying elbow). After Matt Baker counts two, Steve gets a little confrontational. Steve suddenly finds himself in a sleeper hold. Steve manages to fight out before too much damage is done. David takes Steve down with a Sit-Out Facebuster. David picks Steve right back up for a Double Underhook Backbreaker. David stands in the corner as he looks to put Steve away, and upon Steve getting to his feet, David hits him with The Full Effect (Sweet Chin Music)!
One!
Two!
Three!
Nope, Steve kicked out. David tries for a simple clothesline but Steve catches the arm and brings him down to the mat, locking in The Famouser (Crippler Crossface)! David manages to break out of it, and locks Steve in his version of the Crippler Crossface, the Firehawk Lock! Steve does the same as David, manages to get free and gets David right back in The Famouser! Steve has David in the middle of the ring, and really wrenches back on the hold. The bell has been rung, the fans in absolute shock as David tapped out.
Salvatore Pellegrino: Here is your winner as a result of a submission, and NEW AXW CHAMPION, STEVE CORMAN!
Mike Vincent: WHAT?!
Cole Haywood: You seem shocked, Mike, and you shouldn't be! Steve Corman is finally our AXW Champion!
Mike Vincent: This whole arena is in shock, David Slayton submits to Steve Corman, losing his AXW Championship one week after he won it!
"Voodoo Child" plays throughout the arena as Steve Corman is handed the AXW Championship. He holds it up high, soaking in the boos from the crowd. Damien Steele, Ethan Cutler, Jack Adams, and Caitlin Shay all rush to the ring to congratulate their mentor. They lift him into the air, with confetti now falling from the rafters.
Mike Vincent: Confetti? I'm sure Steve Corman himself budgeted this.
Cole Haywood: Or Luke Mathews always has confetti on tap should iconic events like this occur.
The group exits the ring, with them lifting Steve once more, carrying him up the ramp in celebration. Once they get to the stage, pyro goes off, and the screen fades to black.
