Episode XXXVI
The cameras pan across the crowd, showing the fans and their signs and merch.
Lily Luna: For the first time ever AXW steps foot into Sin City! This is The Alternative, and as usual I'm Lily Luna joined by Chris Pierce.
Chris Pierce: Streaming live on BWF Network and AXW.com, we know you're here to see action, so let's get to it!
"Cut the Cord" starts as Micheal walks out and drops down to one knee and holds up his arms then Bray walks out in his hat and coat and puts his hands on Mike's shoulders and slaps them, then Micheal stands and they both walk down then Bray crouches down to remove his hat then his coat
Jen Brunelli: This opening tag team contest is set for one fall! Introducing first, from Hoboken, New Jersey, at a combined weight of 471 pounds, Michael Veaga and "The Krazy Karney" Bray Coleman, BEAUTY AND THE JEKYLL!
and he runs into the ring and lays on the mat staring at his opponent(s) while Micheal climbs up to the apron and climbs to the second rope and does a warrior shout while pounding his chest, then he jumps down to the ring.
The opening chords of "The Right Direction" by The Red Jumpsuit Apparatus rolls throughout the arena. There’s a fountain of pyro at the three second mark as the song hits. Three spotlights shine and revolve around as if searching for someone, and the fans are on their feet, cheering in anticipation for the hero they know is coming. At the seven second mark, the hooded figure steps from behind the curtain and through the pyro looking down. The song builds to the fourteen second mark as he throws his hood back and arms out, fired up, as there’s a loud pop of orange and white pyro from the stage. Gabe Shelley responds to the cheers of the fans by pounding his chest and pointing out to them. The fans are positively crazy about Gabe. He begins to make his way to the ring and is sure to tap hands of fans on the ramp.
Jen Brunelli: And their opponents, first, from Columbus, Ohio, weighing in at 220 pounds, here is "the reVolution" GABE SHELLEY!
I will never understand the path you chose
Chemical parasitic waste inside your bowels
So wrap it up while you still can
While you got the offer in
I just can't believe
That you'd throw it all away
Now you falsely return today
As you're falling on your face
Shelley makes his way up the steel steps and jumps to the second turnbuckle and looks around the arena with a smile on his face. He jumps into the ring as his hood comes back up, landing on his feet. He goes to the middle of the ropes ropes facing camera side and jumps to the second one. He flips the hood back once again and makes finger guns at the camera and fires with a wink.
PUT ON YOUR WAR PAINT!
The lights in the arena all cut to black and the Tron comes to life, pulsating with a green light as a quiet beat gets louder with every flash. It gets faster and faster, and louder with each pulse, until the pulsating light explodes into the words "Blazenwing Rises" and “The Phoenix” by Fall Out Boy blares across the arena sound system.
You are a brick tied to me that's dragging me down
Strike a match and I'll burn you to the ground
We are the jack-o-lanterns in July
Setting fire to the sky
He-here comes this rising tide
So come on
PUT ON YOUR WAR PAINT!
The stage fills with smoke and the crowd rises to their feet, cheering loudly, as the smoke clears on the stage and a man in a dark green trenchcoat stands, head down, facing the Tron. He raises his hands and snaps his fingers, causing four loud bursts of pyro to ignite, two on each side of him, before spinning around Y2J style to reveal David Slayton!
Jen Brunelli: And his tag team partner, from Milwaukee, Wisconsin, weighing in at 245 pounds, here is "The New Hotness" DAVID SLAYTON!
Cross walks and crossed hearts and hope-to-dies
Silver clouds with grey linings
So we can take the world back from the heart-attacked
One maniac at a time we will take it back
You know time crawls on when you're waiting for the song to start
So dance alone to the beat of your heart
His sunglasses shining with the glare from the arena lights, David looks to the left, then to the right, nodding towards the crowd before walking down the ramp. After stopping to slap hands with a few fans, David moves towards the ring steps and hops up and down a few times in front of them before quickly racing up the steps to the apron side facing the stage. He stops and pulls his sunglasses off, then tosses them behind his head into the crowd before leaning down and stepping through the ropes to enter the ring.
Hey young blood
Doesn't it feel like our time is running out?
I'm gonna change you like a remix
Then I'll raise you like a phoenix
You're wearing our vintage misery
No, I think it looked a little better on me
I'm gonna change you like a remix
Then I'll raise you like a phoenix
David walks across the ring and leaps up onto the second rope in the corner nearest the timekeeper, then pulls off his green trenchcoat and tosses it towards the timekeeper. David smirks and points to the fans, then slaps his chest a few times and points up towards the sky, closing his eyes and saying a short prayer. David leaps down from the corner and immediately turns to sit down in the same corner, ala Raven. David then rests his head on the second turnbuckle pad as his theme fades and the crowd continues cheering.
vs.
The 7'3" Michael Veaga starts against David Slayton. David tries kicking Veaga in the gut but Veaga catches the kick, throwing it away and picking Slayton up for a back suplex. Veaga picks Slayton up once more and delivers a Running Powerslam. Veaga shows off just how athletic he is with an Oh My? (Standing Moonsault). Veaga tags in Bray and the team deliver a Double Dropkick. Slayton tags out to Shelley who takes Bray down with a drop toe hold. Shelley delivers some of his signature moves, Jersey Cutter (Twist of Fate), Junkyard Jam (Pedigree), and Cannon Ball (Similar to the Codebreaker, but Gabe's knees are in his opponents chest) before tagging Slayton back in. Slayton is recomposed and delivers a few of his big moves, the Triple German Suplexes and a Death Valley Driver. Slayton knocks Veaga off the apron and tags Shelley back in. Slayton hits Bray with The Full Effect (Sweet Chin Music) who stumbles back into the Condeo ut Revolutio (Bank Statement) from Shelley, and needless to say this one is over.
Jen Brunelli: Here are your winners as a result of a submission, GABE SHELLEY and DAVID SLAYTON!
Lily Luna: The team once known as Tru ReVolution picking up a win to kick the night off.
Chris Pierce: The tag team division has been picking up here, and Shelley and Slayton could throw their names in the mix to do so, though there may be some kinks to work through.
Lily Luna: Notably how Michael Veaga seemed to take Slayton off his game early in the match, a little uncharacteristic from Slayton.
Gabe and David celebrate their win. Before exiting the arena, they shake hands with Beauty and the Jekyll for good sportsmanship.

MONDAYS!
-----
"Brass Monkey" starts as Billy comes out in colorful shades and starts dancing and fist bumping fans while making his way to the ring
Jen Brunelli: This next contest is set for one fall! Introducing first, making his AXW Debut, from The Party Bus, Florida, weighing in at 203 pounds, he is "The Florida Party Animal" BILLY HARRINGTON!
then he slides into the ring and does the "cabbage patch" dance into the corner.
Lily Luna: What can you tell us about this interesting fellow here, Chris?
Chris Pierce: Billy Harrington is a recent graduate of the Mathews Family Training Facility, and other than that, there's not much else to say that you don't already see. When he's not in the ring he's out partying, hell, even when he's in the ring he's partying.
Failure by Breaking Benjamin fades into play in the arena. The lights dim as a spotlight centers up on the stage. 17 seconds into the song, pyros go off on either side of the stage and Clifford Bradley bursts onto the stage.
Jen Brunelli: And his opponent, accompanied to the ring by Alyssa Liles, from Miami, Florida, weighing in at 217 pounds, CLIFFORD BRADLEY!
Bradley walks down the ramp, a smirk on his faces, completely ignoring the fans to either side of him. He uses the stairs to climb to the apron, demanding the ref to come and open up the ropes for him when entering the ring, and then goes directly to his corner to await the beginning of the match.
vs.
The 6'8" Billy Harrington and 6'3" Clifford Bradley circle one another, before Clifford kicks Billy in the gut. Clifford follows that up with a Neckbreaker. Clifford clotheslines Billy out of the ring, and dives out onto him with a crossbody. Alyssa tells Clifford to stay on him, and when Clifford lifts Billy back to his feet, Billy elbows him in the gut and rolls him back in the ring. Billy delivers a Corkscrew neckbreaker which sees a near two count. Billy grabs the neck of Clifford and plants him with what is called the Beefbuster (Spinning Double-Handed Chokebuster). After that and an Argentine Neckbreaker only get Billy a two count, he fist pumps three times before running the ropes, where is caught by a Dropkick from Clifford. Clifford decides that the party's over, and drops Billy to the mat with The Price Drop (Fit Finlay’s Celtic Cross).
Jen Brunelli: Here is your winner, CLIFFORD BRADLEY!
Lily Luna: Clifford Bradley finally able to pick up some wins now that he has Alyssa Liles on his side.
Chris Pierce: Alyssa is the guiding light that Clifford needed, it's all uphill from here for the tandem.
Clifford is fired up from his win, climbing the turnbuckles and raising his arms in the air. He and Alyssa exit the arena, meanwhile, Billy Harrington, holding the back of his neck, is at ringside dancing with some front row fans.

TUESDAYS!
-----
Jen Brunelli: This is your Alternative Main Event set for one fall!
"Hear Me Now" plays throughout the arena and Malcolm M. Mitchell makes his way to the stage. He takes a moment to taunt, throwing shadow punches, then runs his hands through his hair and flicks the water off his hands, keeping his arms spread with his head up, soaking in the reaction from the crowd.
Jen Brunelli: Introducing first, from Riviera Beach, Florida, weighing in at 214 pounds, MALCOLM M. MITCHELL!
He walks down to the ring with confidence in every step. Malcolm enters the ring, climbs to the second turnbuckle, and does the same taunt he did on the stage.
“Say Hello” blares over the PA system as Anthony Royal slowly emerges through the curtain. He smirks and throws his arms above his head before strutting down the ramp. He mostly ignores the crowd, only occasionally taking the time to mock and berate them.
Jen Brunelli: And his opponent, from Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, weighing in at 227 pounds, ANTHONY ROYAL!
As he approaches the ring, he hops onto the ring apron, looking back at the crowd, smirking and shaking his head in disgust before entering the ring. He then climbs to the nearest turnbuckle and stares out into the crowd before hopping down and waiting for the match to begin.
vs.
The two lock up, with Anthony backing Malcolm to the corner. Anthony throws some punches before referee Shane Gates intervenes and backs Anthony away. Malcolm responds by darting out of the corner, tackling Anthony to the mat, and delivering some mounted punches. Malcolm lets up and delivers a Jumping Calf Kick. Anthony looks for a wild clothesline which Malcolm ducks, promptly lifting Anthony up for a Blue Thunder Bomb. This earns a two count, and Malcolm follows up with an arm drag and locks in an armbar, but Anthony gets to the rope. Malcolm tries to lift Anthony up for a suplex, but Anthony blocks with some hard knees to the gut before executing a Spinning Heel Kick. Anthony irish whips Malcolm to the ropes and lifts him as high as he can for a Flapjack, then swiftly rolls into the Half Boston Crab. Malcolm scratches and claws to get to the bottom rope. Anthony stays on the attack as he slams Malcolm to the mat with a Belly to Belly Suplex. Anthony stuns Malcolm with a European Uppercut and rocks him with a Step Up Enziguri. Anthony tries locking in a Sharpshooter but Malcolm kicks him away. Malcolm gets behind Anthony and takes him down with a Zigzag, and pops back up to deliver a Double Knee Drop to the midsection of Royal. Malcolm drives Anthony to the mat with a Hammerlock DDT. Malcolm then waits for Anthony to get up, and looks to make him Sleep Tight (Busaiku Knee Kick), but Anthony just manages to step out of the way. Anthony then wastes no time as he brings Malcolm to the canvas with Royal Mutilation (Shelton Benjamin’s “Pay Dirt”).
Jen Brunelli: Here is your winner, ANTHONY ROYAL!
Lily Luna: Another great match from Anthony Royal, certainly proving he has a future here, but Malcolm M. Mitchell just seems to not be the same since The Takeover disbanded.
Chris Pierce: Malcolm has spent the past two years in a group, it might take him a bit to re-adjust back to pure singles competition, but he'll bounce back.
Anthony has his hand raised in victory. He looks down at Malcolm and simply shakes his head. He holds up four fingers, in reference to his four wins, and says, "Step up!"
Lily Luna: Another Alternative in the books, stay tuned for AXW on ION in just a few seconds!
