Episode XXXIX
After the opening video package, the cameras pan across the crowd, showing all the excited fans with their signs and merch.
Lily Luna: Welcome to The Alternative! With three big events now behind us, we're entering the new season for AXW.
Chris Pierce: She's Lily Luna and I'm Chris Pierce, let's get to the action.
"Invincible" by Amaranthe hits, the fast pounding drums blaring loudly from the speakers as the lights dim completely. They come back to Android 18 standing at the entrance ramp, head down, the words 'The code awakens me' flash along the jumbotron behind her as she opens her eyes and brings her head up slowly. She walks stoically down the ramp, a smirk spreading over her face as she goes. She stops in the middle of the ramp, raising her hands to actually sign the words 'I am Invincible.'
Jen Brunelli: This opening contest is set for one fall! Introducing first, representing The Alliance of Truth, from Cork, Ireland, weighing in at 135 pounds, ANDROID 18!
Before continuing on and leaping straight up onto the ring post, she signs ''I am Invincible' one more time, entering the ring and awaiting the match to start.

The camera focuses at the titantron where we see a countdown clock counting ticking from 10 to 1 as we also hear kids counting down with the countdown clock to the tune of "Baker Number 5" by Sesame Street. Suddenly loud cannon like explosions are heard and the song, "Vegas Lights" by Panic! At the Disco starts blaring out. In comes Ava Victoria Cannon out of the curtains and already having a huge smile on her face.
Jen Brunelli: Her opponent, making her AXW Debut, from Las Vegas, Nevada, weighing 120 pounds, "Countdown" AVA CANNON!
She energetically rushes to the ring and slides in. She does a couple of shadow punches and kicks in the ring before blowing a kiss to the audience and her opponent(s)
Jen Brunelli: Ava Cannon is a recent graduate of the Mathews Family Training Facility. She might come to the ring all bubbly and smiley, but don't let that fool you as she is a bona fide fighter and has no problem knocking your teeth down your throat.
Chris Pierce: That will certainly be put to the test against Android 18, I'm looking forward to it.
Both women have the same idea in mind as they punch each other in the face. This starts an all out fist fight between the two, with Ava actually gaining the upper hand by throwing in some kicks. Ava takes A18 down with a Roundhouse Kick. Ava continues her offense with a Neckbreaker, which gets her only a one count. Ava sends A18 to the ropes where A18 responds with a Super Electric Strike (Striking spear). A18 plants Ava to the mat with a Sitout Powerbomb that gets two before Ava kicks out. A18 drives Ava back to the mat with a Lifting Double Underhook Facebuster. When A18 goes for Graceful Orbit (Lionsalt), Ava gets her knees up. Ava runs the ropes for momentum before clocking A18 with a Superwoman Punch. Ava heads to the top rope where she connects with Seven Deadly Sins(5 Star Frog Splash) for a close two count. Ava looks for a punch or a clothesline but A18 catches the arm, delivering the Buster Swing (Inverted stomp facebreaker) for the victory.
Jen Brunelli: Here is your winner, ANDROID 18!
Lily Luna: The Buster Swing allows Android 18 to walk out victorious over the impressive newcomer Ava Cannon.
Chris Pierce: Let's also not forget Android 18 has re-aligned with The Alliance of Truth, she needs to win if she wants Aries and Fhenix to keep her around.
Shane Gates raises the arm of Android. Android looks down at Ava, signalling "I am invincible" in sign language.

We head backstage to Gina Furlow.
Gina Furlow: Ladies and gentlemen, I'm being joined by Alyssa Liles and Clifford Bradley. Can I get your guys' thoughts on the victory you have over Ben Eatr at Rise?
Clifford Bradley: This was not the first time I've been in the ring with Ben Eatr. He beat me in his debut here. Since then, I've become a changed man. I've been able to learn from my mistakes and was able to watch footage of Ben to develop a game plan. On top of that, I've found myself a pretty damn good coach.
Alyssa Liles: I've been able to rekindle the career of Clifford Bradley. As long as I'm here, there's no extinguishing his flame. The fire will rise and Clifford Bradley will become the top star of AXW.
Gina Furlow: Wh--
Alyssa Liles: I'm sorry, but that's all the questions Clifford has time for. Good day.
The two walk off.
Gina Furlow: Well, let's send it back to ringside then.

"Rocketman" starts with all of the lights out with some smoke and one spotlight
"She packed my bags last night pre flight
Zero hour nine a.m.
And I'm gonna be high, as a kite by then
I miss the earth so much, I miss my wife
It's lonely out in space
On such a timeless flight
And I think it's gonna be a long long time
Till touch down brings me round again to find
I'm not the man they think I am at home
Oh no, no, no, I'm a rocket man
Rocket man burning out his fuse up here alone"
Then a hooded figure shows up and waits at the spotlight.
"And I think it's gonna be a long long time
Till touch down brings me round again to find
I'm not the man they think I am at home
Oh no, no, no, I'm a rocket man
Rocket man burning out his fuse up here alone"
Ben raises his arms simultaneously taking off his cape and walks to the ring.
Jen Brunelli: This next contest is set for one fall! Introducing first, from Mason City, Iowa, weighing 223 pounds, BEN "ROCKET MAN" EATR!
"Mars ain't the kind of place to raise your kids
In fact it's cold as Hell
And there's no one there to raise them if you didn't
And all this science, I don't understand
It's just my job, five days a week
A rocket man, a rocket man"
On beat with the song Ben climbs the apron and jumps on the turnbuckle.
"And I think it's gonna be a long long time
Till touch down brings me round again to find
I'm not the man they think I am at home
Oh no, no, no, I'm a rocket man
Rocket man burning out his fuse up here alone
And I think it's gonna be a long long time
Till touch down brings me round again to find
I'm not the man they think I am at home
Oh no, no, no, I'm a rocket man
Rocket man burning out his fuse up here alone"
Ben keeps his arms up then jumps into the ring.
"Now, I think it's gonna be a long long time
And I think it's gonna be a long long time
And I think it's gonna be a long long time
And I think it's gonna be a long long time"
"Brass Monkey" starts as Billy comes out in colorful shades and starts dancing and fist bumping fans while making his way to the ring,
Jen Brunelli: His opponent, from The Party Bus, Florida, weighing 203 pounds, "The Florida Party Animal" BILLY HARRINGTON!
then he slides into the ring and does the "cabbage patch" dance into the corner.
Ben and Billy lock up, Billy gets hold of the arm of Ben and locks him in a Hammerlock. Billy spins Ben out and pulls him in for a Spinebuster for a one count. Billy hooks the head of Ben before dropping him with a Lifting Reverse DDT. Billy irish whips Ben to the ropes where Ben surprises him with a Rocket Shot (Running single leg dropkick). Ben lifts Billy onto his shoulder before throwing him into the turnbuckles with the Lawn Dart, and follows that up with Space Out (Future shock DDT), getting the three count.
Jen Brunelli: Here is your winner, BEN EATR!
Lily Luna: The party's over for Billy Harrington tonight.
Chris Pierce: I'll say. Ben Eatr making quick work of him tonight.
Ben Eatr poses on the turnbuckles for the fans, before we go backstage.

Renee Peltier: Renee Peltier here, I'm joined by Chaz Anix and Chester Andrews. You guys requested this time, what's on your mind?
Chaz Anix: What's on my mind is where the hell was I on the Rise card? I'm Dr. Big Freaking Deal! I should be on every show AXW puts out.
Chester Andrews: That's right, my son was trained by the best - me! It's a travesty that he's treated this way.
Chaz Anix: I just saw that Clifford Bradley interview. He thinks he's such a big deal because he has a manager? I already told you how big of a deal I am, and I've had a manager before he did, and before Trent Mathews did for that matter. They're both regularly on shows, and I'm eating catering. I'm not sitting back anymore, next week, I challenge Clifford Bradley to a match.
Chester Andrews: That's all we had to say, you can run along now.
Renee obliges, and leaves the scene.

Jen Brunelli: This is your Alternative Main Event, set for one fall!
"Hear Me Now" plays throughout the arena and Malcolm M. Mitchell makes his way to the stage. He takes a moment to taunt, throwing shadow punches, then runs his hands through his hair and flicks the water off his hands, keeping his arms spread with his head up, soaking in the reaction from the crowd.
Jen Brunelli: Introducing first, from Riviera Beach, Florida, weighing in at 214 pounds, MALCOLM M. MITCHELL!
He walks down to the ring with confidence in every step. Malcolm enters the ring, climbs to the second turnbuckle, and does the same taunt he did on the stage.
The arena lights descend to darkness, as the tron displays an old black and white vision of an apocalyptic scene, as within a broken building we hear the crackle and zap of electricity, pulses of computers, as there, standing before the rubble is a figure in a denim jacket and tattered denim jeans. The figure turns slowly, and forms a smirk from under a pair of black Aviator shades.
"Not even God can save you.."
The crowd roars to "Not Even God" by Digital Summer, as some are booing, some cheering, an ice blue hue filling the ramp and entrance, a thin mist that under a spotlight has an eerie glow for one Duncan Aries! Aries has his back to us, looking down, before spinning around, arms crossed and head cocked in a smirk.
Jen Brunelli: His opponent, representing The Alliance of Truth, from San Diego, California, weighing in at 238 pounds, AXW Hall of Famer, "The Wild Card" DUNCAN ARIES!
Aries strides to the ring, paying no mind before tossing his shades into the crowd and leaping onto the apron. Entering the ring, Aries spins around, basking in the glow of the reaction, positive or negative, tossing off his jacket, yelling out "Because I'm Duncan Aries, motherfuckers!" as "Not Even God" fades out.
Malcolm M. Mitchell is looking for some revenge tonight, coming right out with forearms that cause Aries to get backed into the corner. Aries shoves Malcolm away, but he comes right back in for a Monkey Flip. Malcolm follows up with an Enzuigiri that stuns Aries, before slamming him to the mat with a Fisherman Suplex, with Aries kicking out of the pin at two. Malcolm tries to stay in control but Aries takes him down with a leg sweep. Aries hits Malcolm with a standing dropkick, and follows that up with a back suplex. Aries pulls himself up to the middle turnbuckle, where he comes off with a Hart style elbow from second rope. Aries goes for a nonchalant cover, which Malcolm kicks out of. Aries brings Malcolm to his feet and delivers a hard knee strike to the gut to double him over, then runs the ropes for a running ax kick. Duncan doesn't stop there as he spring off the second rope for Enter Gideon (Beautiful Disaster Kick), but Malcolm steps out of the way. Malcolm takes Aries off his feet with a Zigzag. Malcolm jumps up for a Double Knee Drop to the chest of Aries. Malcolm runs to the ropes where he springs off the middle, delivering a 180 leg drop to Aries, Aries kicking out at two. Malcolm lifts Aries up for a Blue Thunder Bomb, then heads to the top rope. Malcolm dives off with Death From Above (Red Arrow), but Aries gets the knees up. Aries hooks Malcolm before planting him to the canvas with the San Diego Driver (Full Nelson pickup released into a wheelbarrow facebuster). Aries lifts Malcolm up for The Culmination (Front slam pickup swung into a Rock Bottom), but during the swing Malcolm counters it into a DDT! Malcolm goes to the corner, pulls his knee pad down, and is ready to strike. When Aries starts getting in position Malcolm sprints across the ring looking for Sleep Tight (Busaiku Knee Kick), but Aries steps out of the way. Malcolm is right back up and swings his arm for the clothesline, Aries ducking and in one swift motion delivers The Wild Card (C4 Flipping Rock Bottom) to Malcolm! Aries hooks the leg, and this one is over.
Jen Brunelli: Here is your winner, DUNCAN ARIES!
Lily Luna: A great match, but Duncan Aries shows why he's in the Hall of Fame. Also, I wanna note that Aries finished Malcolm with a move that he usually has in the reserves.
Chris Pierce: There's a reason Aries used that move, and it's mind games. The Wild Card also happens to be Malcolm's wife Zoey's finisher, which she calls the Z4.
Aries tosses Malcolm out to the floor, yelling "Get out of my ring!" in the process. Aries raises his fists in the air, soaking in the crowd's reaction.
Lily Luna: That's it for this week, stay tuned for AXW on ION at the top of the hour!
