Jacksonville, Florida
Episode XLV
The opening video package plays to the tune of Coheed & Cambria's "Welcome Home" before pyro blasts from the stage and Alternatron. The cameras pan across the crowd, showing the various signs.
Mike Vincent: Welcome to AXW! I'm Mike Vincent along with Cole Haywood.
Cole Haywood: Coming to you live from Jacksonville, we're gonna get right to it with the wrestling.
As Daniel Licht’s “Hide Your Tears” opens with a sweet Spanish guitar lick, the lights dim into a golden hue, as elegant script spelling out “The Tragic Hero” flashes over the video wall. Fhenix emerges, his back to us, clad in a golden wrestling robe. He turns as the song gets a bit darker and heavier in tone, golden pyros raining down behind him as he poses, arms outstretched with a smirk.
Salvatore Pellegrino: This contest is scheduled for one fall, introducing first, representing The Alliance of Truth, from Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, weighing 240 pounds, "The Tragic Hero" JONATHAN FHENIX!
He walks to the ring with smooth confidence, entering the ring and scaling a turnbuckle, actually cupping an ear and egging on the crowd for more hatred before leaping off with a sinister smirk, which slowly turns into an eerily focused, stern glance, a mastermind considering strategy before his match begins, his music fading out.
"Hear Me Now" plays throughout the arena and Malcolm M. Mitchell makes his way to the stage. He takes a moment to taunt, throwing shadow punches, then runs his hands through his hair and flicks the water off his hands, keeping his arms spread with his head up, soaking in the reaction from the crowd.
Salvatore Pellegrino: His opponent, from Riviera Beach, Florida, weighing in at 214 pounds, MALCOLM M. MITCHELL!
He walks down to the ring with confidence in every step. Malcolm enters the ring, climbs to the second turnbuckle, and does the same taunt he did on the stage.
vs.
Malcolm comes right out of the gate clubbing away at Fhenix. Malcolm hits him with a Dropkick that sends him back to the corner, Malcolm following up with a series of clotheslines to the cornered Fhenix. Malcolm pulls Fhenix out of the corner where he executes a Jumping Shoulder Jawbreaker. Malcolm bounces off the ropes and brings Fhenix to the mat with a Bulldog. Malcolm looks to irish whip Fhenix but Fhenix turns the tides and whips Malcolm to the ropes. Malcolm ducks a clothesline and keeps running, springboarding off the second rope, only for Fhenix to catch him mid-air and plant him with a Spinebuster. Fhenix picks Malcolm up and sends him back to the ropes, this time delivering a Tilt a whirl backbreaker that sees a two count. Fhenix brings Malcolm back to his feet and hoists him up for a Stalling brainbuster. Fhenix pulls himself up to the middle turnbuckle and jumps off with a Second rope elbow drop. Malcolm kicks out at two. Fhenix has Malcolm doubled over but whatever he had planned is thwarted as Malcolm double leg takedowns Fhenix and locks in a Figure Four Leg Lock. Fhenix manages to pull the two towards the ropes to create the break. Malcolm takes Fhenix back down with a T-Bone Suplex, then heads to the corner where he pulls his knee pad down. Malcolm starts to runs across the ring for Sleep Tight (Busaiku Knee Kick) but is suddenly clobbered by a steel chair from Duncan Aries!
Salvatore Pellegrino: The winner of this match by disqualification, Malcolm M. Mitchell!
Mike Vincent: Malcolm M. Mitchell technically gets the win tonight due to this heinous attack, but was perhaps on the verge of beating Jonathan Fhenix clean until then.
Cole Haywood: You don't know that, I'm sure Jonathan was primed to step out of the way.
The Alliance of Truth all stand tall over the downed Malcolm. Duncan picks him up and hands him off to Android 18, who delivers the Buster Swing (Inverted stomp facebreaker). As Malcolm pops up from it, Duncan starts to lift him for The Culmination (Front slam pickup swung into a Rock Bottom), but stops himself, and instead delivers The Wild Card (C4 Flipping Rock Bottom). Fhenix wants some and Aries picks Malcolm back up, and irish whips him to Fhenix, who finishes the onslaught off with The Tragic Hero (Hard irish whip spun into a tilt a whirl sideslam but flowed through into an RKO). They all stand tall before we head backstage.
-----
Brad Adams is standing by.
Brad Adams: Ladies and gentlemen, Ryan Starr!
Ryan steps into frame.
Ryan Starr: I'm going to tell you straight up, I'm not doing this interview. The longer I stand here talking, the more of a target I am for Austin Graves to attack me from behind. I need to find him before he finds me.
Ryan walks off and the camera follows him. As he approaches an intersection in the hallway he gets blindsided by Austin Graves. Ryan does his best to try to fight him off but Austin ends up throwing him against a vending machine, actually managing to break the glass window as well. Austin doesn't stop there as he lifts Ryan up and powerbombs him through a nearby table. Austin leaves the scene. A nearby Craig Brooks calls for help for Ryan, while also stealing the snacks from the broken vending machine.

As the metal version of the overworld theme of Super Mario World blares, also known as “Save The Dinosaurs” by Daniel Tidwell, The Nintendudes emerge, running in place on either side of the stage, then meeting at the center of the ramp and posing together, back to back before swinging their arms around Bushwhackers style to the music.
Salvatore Pellegrino: This next Tag Team contest is scheduled for one fall, introducing first, from Redmond, Washington, at a combined weight of 450 pounds, the team of "Player One" Mac Icarus and "Player Two" Link Zapper, THE NINTENDUDES!
They enter the ring and pose once more as their music fades.
The energetic opening to “I Can't Drive 55” hits the speakers as out stomps the Cross City Stallions looking cocky aggressive and ready to roll! They strike a pose in a similar fashion to DX and throw up the 'cross' arm sign as a shoutout to their hometown on their way out and then Marky Mustang strikes a one knee kneeling pose while his brother Max Maximus stands behind him, unleashing a primal scream as the two throw their arms out and pose.
Salvatore Pellegrino: Their opponents, from Cross City, Florida, at a combined weight of 503 pounds, Marky Mustang and "Mammoth" Max Maximus, CROSS CITY STALLIONS!
The two then walk down to the ring chewing gum and not really giving a damn how the crowd is reaction either way as they slide into the ring and ready for the match.
vs.
Marky Mustang and Mac Icarus begin the match. They lock up, Mustang shoves Mac backwards. Mac rolls over the mat and as he reaches his feet, Mustang delivers a huge running knee to his face! He whips Mac into the ropes and hits a Picture Perfect Dropkick, then tags in Max Maximus. Maximus lifts Mac for a Military Press. Then, a Pumphandle Slam, and finally a sitout chokeslam. Max pulls Mac towards Link, taunting the duo by keeping Mac just out of reach, before he drops an elbow into Mac’s back, and drags him to Mustang while making the tag. Mustang hops in and delivers an elbow of his own before locking in a Boston Crab. After a struggle, Mac reaches the bottom rope, and the break is forced. Marky tags in Max again, and the duo go for the Hagar Drive 55, but Link storms in and is able to shove Mac out of the way as Max delivers the Colossal Big Boot to Marky’s face! Link is back on the apron and Mac reaches him for the tag. The ref forces Max from the ring, and as he gets settled on the apron, an enziguri from Link comes in, and Max then lands face-first on the ring steps and goes down in a heap! Link, knowing this is their chance, goes for Sliced Bread #2 on Marky, but Marky shoves Link away. Link then hits the Spread Gun (Sudden Super Kick), knocking Marky back down, and then he tags in Mac. The duo Hit Reset (Mac Alabama Slam into a Link Backstabber) and then Link goes flying over the top with a plancha onto Max Maximus, while Mac gets the pin in! 1, 2, 3!
Salvatore Pellegrino: Here are your winners, THE NINTENDUDES!
Mike Vincent: This is certainly the definition of an upset, two guys who we still don't know a whole lot about other than they really like Nintendo, defeated world class athletes and former AXW Tag Team Champions.
Cole Haywood: I wish these two would Pokemon Go away. There's your one Nintendo reference, I refuse to make any more.
Mac and Link do seem a bit surprised they actually won the match. They celebrate their win, and when Max and Marky come to, they extend their hands. The Stallions seem a little reluctant at first, but decide to be good sports and shake the victors' hands. We head to commercial.

We return from commercials where Gina Furlow is standing by with one of AXW's newest signings, Destiny Maverick.
Gina Furlow: Ladies and gentlemen, as you can see, I'm joined by Destiny Maverick. Destiny, first off, welcome to AXW!
Destiny Maverick: Thank you. I'm excited to be here.
Gina Furlow: What made you want to come to AXW?
Destiny Maverick: Well, I wanted to try to win back the Xperience Championship since if you recall, I was not the one pinned at Rise. As you saw last week, I was not successful in doing so. On top of that, I spent most of my career thus far in a tag team, and thought coming to AXW would be a good way to further my singles career.
Gina Furlow: Well again, welcome, we hope you enjoy your stay here, and WATCH OUT!
Gina managed to catch something coming, but before Destiny can fully react, she's laid out on the floor. Android 18 has clotheslined the back of her head, and A18 then plants her boot on the back of Destiny's neck, preventing her from getting up.
Android 18: See, we're trying to cleanse AXW from people like you. It started with Slayton, then the Shelleys, and now you. The more of you that come here, the more of you we have to fend off. So be it. Did you see what we just did to Malcolm Mitchell? Nothing is stopping us from giving you the same fate. Your neck will be in worse shape than your husband's. You'll regret your decision of coming here.
Android steps off her neck and walks off. Destiny sits up, holding her neck. Gina asks if she's alright, Destiny simply nodding as she stares a hole in A18 walking off.

The arena lights dim as the opening beats of Anja’s “Dance All Nite” are accompanied by a dance club vibe of flashing, pulsing lights, the silhouette of Hailey Harris emerging on the ramp with a model’s poise. A sleeveless denim jacket with a hoodie covers a mid drift fishnet corset and a short hot pink skirt, fishnets and black boots completing the ensemble as the champion spins with her new pink G.A.W. shades over her eyes as the crowd boos her every move to the ring.
Salvatore Pellegrino: This next contest is scheduled for one fall, introducing first, from Baltimore, Maryland, weighing 127 pounds, she is the AXW Women's Champion, "The Baltimore Bombshell" HAILEY HARRIS!
In the ring, Hailey holds the title up, storming to every side of the ring, defiant as he arena lights return to normal and the music fades.
The opening to "Ready to Go" by Panic! at the Disco takes over the sound system as colorful lights swirl and pan across the arena. Upon the whole band entering the song, out struts a blonde haired woman. She stops right before the ramp, places a hand on her hip, and blows a kiss into the camera. She makes her way down the ramp.
Salvatore Pellegrino: Her opponent, from Riviera Beach, Florida, weighing 127 pounds, MEGAN MITCHELL!
Megan high fives some of the ring side fans and walks around to the camera side ring apron. She climbs onto the apron and again blows a kiss to the camera. She enters the ring and climbs onto a second turnbuckle on the opposite side of the ring. She whips her hair back and runs her hands through her hair, before outstretching her arms. She steps off the turnbuckle and prepares to face her opponent.
vs.
Non-Title
Hailey and Megan lock up, with Hailey tripping Megan and slamming her on her back. Megan gets back up and is met with an enziguri. Hailey lifts Megan up for a suplex, then heads to the top rope where she connects with a top rope back elbow, Hailey follows that up with a standing moonsault, Megan able to kick out at two. Hailey looks for The Long Shot (Twist Of Fate) but Megan shoves her away. Megan takes control as she lifts Hailey up for a Uranage Backbreaker. Hailey is on her knees clutching at her back when Megan nails her with a Shining Enzuigiri. Megan hooks the outside leg but Hailey kicks out at two. Megan stays in control by lifting Hailey up for a Tiger Suplex, bridging in the pin, Hailey again kicks out. Hailey rolls out of the ring for some separation but Megan stays right on the attack with a Suicide Dive through the bottom and middle ropes. Megan gets Hailey back in the ring and this is when Hailey regains control, hitting Megan with a surprise spinning heel kick. Hailey grabs the head of Megan and runs up the turnbuckles for Sliced Bread #2. Hailey heads back to the top rope, this time delivering a missile dropkick. Hailey hooks the arms of Megan and plants her with the Baltimore Bombshell (Double Underhook snap DDT). Hailey ascends the turnbuckles once more, this time to finish Megan with Hailey’s Comet (450 Splash).
Salvatore Pellegrino: Here is your winner, HAILEY HARRIS!
Mike Vincent: The AXW Women's Champion with a solid win over a game Megan Mitchell, but it looks like she's gonna get some company...
“S-P-I-R-I-T
Spirit!! Let’s hear it!!
S-P-I-R-I-T
Spirit!! Let’s hear it!!”
Blue strobe lights roams around the arena like a trance as the opening tune of "Happy Song” by Bring Me The Horizon blares out of the PA system.
“LET’S GO!”
Janet Hurricane makes her way down to the ring, a microphone in hand.
Janet Hurricane: You think you're clever, huh? Poking the referee in the eye to cause my number one contender's match to be thrown out. Like I said, I'm not gonna play games. You can't escape my wrath.
Hailey seems like she's going to ignore Janet by exiting the ring, but Janet stops her. The two are nose to nose, when...
As soon as the song plays, the red lights pulse to the beat of the drums with a figure standing in smoke, wearing a robe and a kitsune mask. At the seven second mark of the song, the figure begins to slowly make their way down the ramp. At the fourteen second mark of the song, the figure disrobes and removes their kitsune mask, now walking to the ring at a quicker pace. The figure of course being Katsuko Nakamoto, she makes her way around the ring to grab a microphone before entering.
Katsuko Nakamoto: [Spoken in Japanese] You seem to be forgetting about me. I had both of you beat if it were not for these constant shenanigans. I will not stand quietly by.
Luke Mathews immediately makes his way out onto the stage.
Luke Mathews: So, we have a situation on our hands that could have easily been avoided had the Number One Contender's Match gone as planned. Hailey, your involvement tells me that you don't want to fight anyone.
Hailey grabs the microphone from Janet.
Hailey Harris: I've already defeated Janet in the Ladder Match at Rise, and frankly, I don't even know who this other person is. She hasn't even proved herself worthy of a title match.
Luke Mathews: Well, I beg to differ. Katsuko was on the verge of ripping your entire arm off had it not been for Janet Hurricane. So, here's what's going to happen. Hailey, since you want to get involved in Number One Contender's Matches, well, you'll just defend your title against both of them. September 10 at Anarchy, the AXW Women's Championship will be on the line as Hailey Harris defends against Janet Hurricane and Katsuko Nakamoto in a Triple Threat Match. Good luck.
Luke makes his way to the back, the three women in the ring left to look back and forth at one another. Katsuko seems to be content enough with the news and exits the ring. Janet looks to be leaving when Hailey hits her in the back of the head with the Women's Title! Hailey now exits the ring, satisfied.

We return backstage to the interview set.
Max Kilburne: Max Kilburne here, I'm joined by Anthony Royal! Anthony, the past few weeks you've been embarrassed by Bobo Sweetcakes, first when he ended your undefeated streak, and then when he hit you with his cookie sheet last week.
Anthony Royal: Hang on a second there, my undefeated streak is intact. I am 1-0. Anything prior to that is irrelevant. Embarrassed? I'd say just mildly inconvenienced. At the end of the day, I've done more in my career than Bob... Bob Cheesecake? Was that his name?
Max Kilburne: Bobo Sweetcakes.
Anthony Royal: Whatever his name is, he is beneath me.
Max Kilburne: When we return from the commercial break, Bobo Sweetcakes will be competing for the AXW Xperience Championship. Does it bother you in any way that he's getting a title match before you?
Royal's face appears to turn to one of frustration, before he just walks away.
UPCOMING MAJOR BWF NETWORK EVENTS
MONDAY, AUGUST 29
SATURDAY, SEPTEMBER 10
The opening riffs of 'Pour Some Sugar on me' hits, and the arena goes dark with a single pink spotlight near the entrance. As the drums hit, Bobo comes out, flashing a bright smile, wearing a black pinstriped Chef's apron over his pink and black tights. He holds a tray in his hands which naturally contains samples of his cakes, that he baked to perfection. He proceeds to feed the samples to the fans at ringside before sliding the tray underneath the ring. He climbs into the ring and throws his apron to the crowd.
"Code Red" by Nonpoint blares as a red light shines down on the ramp, flashing and flickering as Bruiser Lazzou emerges to a chorus of boos in a black singlet with a red hazard symbol on it, cracking his knuckles and then slapping his face, roaring and then pounding his chest before heading to the ring, yelling "OPEN FOR BUSINESS!" to fans, some of the younger ones still so traumatized by this once beloved hero. He enters the ring and runs the ropes, stomping his feet like a bull and roaring once again with his arms extended and his head tilted back, roaring once more as his music fades out.
Salvatore Pellegrino: This next contest is scheduled for one fall, and is for the AXW Xperience Championship! Introducing first, the challenger, from Skaneateles, New York, weighing 238 pounds, "The Master Pâtissier" BOBO SWEETCAKES!
Bobo gets the crowd fired up.
Salvatore Pellegrino: His opponent, from Augusta, Maine, weighing in at 325 pounds, he is the defending AXW Xperience Champion, BRUISER LAZZOU!
Bruiser raises his championship high, not caring what the fans' reaction is.
vs.
puu.sh/syhby/c8c4b4cdf0.png
Bobo knows better than to try to lock up with the larger Lazzou, and therefore tries his hand at throwing strikes. He's able to stun Lazzou after some punches and forearms to the face, but after running the ropes is hit with a big boot from Lazzou. Lazzou lifts Bobo up for a running powerslam, and then follows that up with a Bruising Bodies (Big Splash). Bobo manages to get his shoulder up at two. Lazzou sends Bobo to the corner and runs in after, but Bobo gets his boot up. Bobo pulls himself to the top rope and jumps off with a Crossbody, but Lazzou catches him. Lazzou slams Bobo to the mat with a front slam. Lazzou picks Bobo back up for a scoop slam. Lazzou climbs to the top turnbuckle, where he comes off with a Maine Moonsault (Top Rope Vader Style Moonsault). Bobo again is able to kick out. Lazzou lifts Bobo to his feet and this is where Bobo executes a Sugar Rush (Multiple series of Punches to opponent, ending with a Palm heel uppercut). Lazzou looks to quickly get back on the attack but Bobo evades with a cartwheel. Bobo hits Lazzou with a dropkick that actually takes the big man off his feet. He's now down for long though until Bobo lifts him up for a German Suplex. Bobo now takes to the skies, as he delivers a 220 Creme Brulee (Moonsault, but with only 220 degrees rotation instead of the usual 270, making it a high-angle Headbutt). Lazzou kicks out of the cover at the count of two. Bobo gets the crowd fired up, as he is prepared to hit IDT (It's Dessert Time) (Jumping Spinning Hook Kick, with theatrics), but before Lazzou gets to his feet, Anthony Royal slides into the ring, grabbing the cake tray in the process, and hits Bobo upside the head with it.
Salvatore Pellegrino: Here is your winner as a result of a disqualification, Bobo Sweetcakes! However still the AXW Xperience Champion, Bruiser Lazzou!
Mike Vincent: Anthony Royal just ruined a great match, as well as perhaps ending Bobo Sweetcakes' chances at winning the Xperience Championship.
Cole Haywood: Bobo doesn't even deserve a title match over Royal. Royal's been here for the past few months beating everyone that steps in the ring with him, while we haven't seen Bobo in over a year and he waltzes back in getting title shots without earning them.
Anthony lifts Bobo up for Lights Out (Brainbuster). Lazzou has collected his title, and Royal motions that he will be the one to take the title from Lazzou. Lazzou laughs as he simply exits the ring and heads to the back.

Renee Peltier is standing by with the AXW Champion, Steve Corman.
Renee Peltier: I was invited into the private locker room of the AXW Champion, Steve Corman.
Steve Corman: That's the best intro you could do? I picked you to do this interview because you're a fellow Ontarian, thus making you better than the other interviewers. I think you can do better, try again.
Renee Peltier: Ladies and gentlemen, I am joined by a true legend in this business. A man who has done it all. Countless World Championships. The man running things in WSW and RSPW. A man who was truly robbed into being an inaugural entrant into the AXW Hall of Fame. A true Canadian Hero! The current reigning AXW Champion, the very handsome, "The Icon", STEVE CORMAN!
Steve Corman: That's what I'm talking about. Here, have this shirt.
Steve hands Renee a black shirt.
Renee Peltier: Thank you. Now I--
Steve Corman: Put the shirt on.
Renee sets her microphone down and puts the shirt on over the top she was already wearing. It of course is the "I'm a Steve Corman Girl" t-shirt.
Steve Corman: Looks good on ya. You may continue the interview.
Renee Peltier: Well first off, I was wondering how you're feeling after The Alliance of Truth attacked you a few weeks ago.
Steve Corman: Before I answer that, let's talk about The Alliance of Truth. It really is just a poor man's Steve Corman Guys isn't it? There's no video evidence or witnesses that can attest to Duncan Aries' accusations of us attacking him. But Duncan Aries shoots first and asks questions later, and one of these days, he's gonna shoot himself in the foot. To answer your question, I feel fine.
Renee Peltier: So you'll be able to go back into the ring?
Steve Corman: Yes, but not until Anarchy on September 10. See, I feel fine, but my personal doctor has advised me that I will not be cleared to compete until then, and I will obey what he says.
Renee Peltier: What does the AXW doctor say about it?
Steve Corman: Who cares what he has to say? I have the best doctor money could buy, not some hack that barely passed medical school. I go by what my doctor says, not anyone else.
Renee Peltier: So you will remain in your locker room while Damien Steele and Jack Adams take on Tru Revolution in tonight's Main Event.
Steve Corman: Correct. They don't need me out there, I have given them all the tools they need to defeat anyone, and that includes David Slayton and Gabe Shelley. Corman Guys will always prove they are superior to the rest.
Renee Peltier: Thank you for the time, let's send it to ringside for that match.

PUT ON YOUR WAR PAINT!
The lights in the arena all cut to black and the Tron comes to life, pulsating with a green light as a quiet beat gets louder with every flash. It gets faster and faster, and louder with each pulse, until the pulsating light explodes into the words "Blazenwing Rises" and “The Phoenix” by Fall Out Boy blares across the arena sound system.
You are a brick tied to me that's dragging me down
Strike a match and I'll burn you to the ground
We are the jack-o-lanterns in July
Setting fire to the sky
He-here comes this rising tide
So come on
PUT ON YOUR WAR PAINT!
The stage fills with smoke and the crowd rises to their feet, cheering loudly, as the smoke clears on the stage and a man in a dark green trenchcoat stands, head down, facing the Tron. He raises his hands and snaps his fingers, causing four loud bursts of pyro to ignite, two on each side of him, before spinning around Y2J style to reveal David Slayton!
Salvatore Pellegrino: This is your Main Event, a Tag Team Contest scheduled for one fall, introducing first, from Milwaukee, Wisconsin, weighing 245 pounds, here is "The New Hotness" DAVID SLAYTON!
Cross walks and crossed hearts and hope-to-dies
Silver clouds with grey linings
So we can take the world back from the heart-attacked
One maniac at a time we will take it back
You know time crawls on when you're waiting for the song to start
So dance alone to the beat of your heart
His sunglasses shining with the glare from the arena lights, David looks to the left, then to the right, nodding towards the crowd before walking down the ramp. After stopping to slap hands with a few fans, David moves towards the ring steps and hops up and down a few times in front of them before quickly racing up the steps to the apron side facing the stage. He stops and pulls his sunglasses off, then tosses them behind his head into the crowd before leaning down and stepping through the ropes to enter the ring.
Hey young blood
Doesn't it feel like our time is running out?
I'm gonna change you like a remix
Then I'll raise you like a phoenix
You're wearing our vintage misery
No, I think it looked a little better on me
I'm gonna change you like a remix
Then I'll raise you like a phoenix
David walks across the ring and leaps up onto the second rope in the corner nearest the timekeeper, then pulls off his green trenchcoat and tosses it towards the timekeeper. David smirks and points to the fans, then slaps his chest a few times and points up towards the sky, closing his eyes and saying a short prayer. David leaps down from the corner and immediately turns to sit down in the same corner, ala Raven. David then rests his head on the second turnbuckle pad as his theme fades and the crowd continues cheering.
The opening chords of "The Right Direction" by The Red Jumpsuit Apparatus rolls throughout the arena. There’s a fountain of pyro at the three second mark as the song hits. Three spotlights shine and revolve around as if searching for someone, and the fans are on their feet, cheering in anticipation for the hero they know is coming. At the seven second mark, the hooded figure steps from behind the curtain and through the pyro looking down. The song builds to the fourteen second mark as he throws his hood back and arms out, fired up, as there’s a loud pop of orange and white pyro from the stage. Gabe Shelley responds to the cheers of the fans by pounding his chest and pointing out to them. The fans are positively crazy about Gabe. He begins to make his way to the ring and is sure to tap hands of fans on the ramp.
Salvatore Pellegrino: His partner, from Columbus, Ohio, weighing in at 220 pounds, here is "the reVolution" GABE SHELLEY!
I will never understand the path you chose
Chemical parasitic waste inside your bowels
So wrap it up while you still can
While you got the offer in
I just can't believe
That you'd throw it all away
Now you falsely return today
As you're falling on your face
Shelley makes his way up the steel steps and jumps to the second turnbuckle and looks around the arena with a smile on his face. He jumps into the ring as his hood comes back up, landing on his feet. He goes to the middle of the ropes ropes facing camera side and jumps to the second one. He flips the hood back once again and makes finger guns at the camera and fires with a wink.
"Too Drunk to Fuck" by the Dead Kennedys kicks in as a smirking Jack Adams comes jogging out from the back. He looks at the crowd, laughing to himself as he walks to the ring, all the while Adams is goading the fans and prevoking them, daring them to punch him, before feigning punching them himself. Generally, just being a bully.
Salvatore Pellegrino: Their opponents representing the Steve Corman Guys, first, from Fort Payne, Alabama, weighing 230 pounds, he is "The Last Real Man" JACK ADAMS!
Adams slides into the ring and being the dick he is, just yells to the hard camera "LAST REAL MAN ALIVE!"
The lights all go out and "Miseria Cantare" by AFI starts as a single spotlight shines on the entrance as Damien Steele is standing in the entrance hair in front of his face as at the 45 second mark of the song. Damien flips his hair back and starts to walk down to the ring, as the words of the song start.
LOVE... YOUR HATE...
Salvatore Pellegrino: From Chicago, Illinois, weighing 221 pounds, "The Vicious One" DAMIEN STEELE!
Damien Steele makes no connection to any fans that might be throwing insults his way, almost as if he is only focused on the ring, and more specifically his opponent.
YOUR... FAITH LOST...
Steele reaches the ring as he walks around to the steps.
YOU... ARE NOW...
Damien waits at the bottom of the steps keeping his eyes on his opponent.
ONE... OF US...
A wicked smile comes across his face as the words of the song repeat again just a little bit faster this time.
LOVE... YOUR HATE... YOUR... FAITH LOST... YOU... ARE NOW... ONE... OF US...
Steele takes one step up the steps, still keeping his eyes locked on his opponent till he reaches the top step and wipes his feet before entering the ring never taking his eyes off his opponent.
vs.
Gabe and Jack are the two to start the match, that is until Jack tags out to Steele. Gabe and Steele lock up, with Gabe getting Steele in a side headlock. Steele manages to push Shelley back to the ropes, forcing a break. Steele takes advantage, kneeing Gabe in the gut and taking him down with a snapmare, followed by a chinlock. Gabe manages to get to his feet and elbows himself free. Gabe runs off the ropes and takes Steele off his feet with a forearm smash. Gabe takes Steele down with an Exploder Suplex. Gabe ducks a clothesline and swiftly delivers an STO Backbreaker into Neckbreaker. Gabe throws Steele to the ropes and lifts him for a Pop Up Flapjack/Shining Wizard Combo. Gabe tries to bring Steele to the TR corner to tag in Slayton, but Steele pulls him back and lifts him up for a Northern Lights Suplex. Steele hoists Shelley up for a Belly to Back Complete Shot. Steele lifts Shelley onto his shoulders, and spins around before delivering an F-5. Steele lifts a doubled over Shelley up and runs him into the CG corner with a Buckle Bomb. Steele tags in Jack who runs off the ropes and clobbers Shelley with a Meat Hook Clothesline. Adams continuously stomps on Shelley with an Alabama Stompdown (Garvin Stomp). Adams picks Shelley up for an Alabama Slam (Short Throw down Powerbomb), getting a two count. Adams starts to whip Gabe but pulls him back in and plants Shelley to the mat with a Throwdown Spinebuster. Adams starts to set up the Gotch-Style Piledriver, but Gabe responds with a back body drop. Gabe suddenly delivers a Cannon Ball (Similar to the Codebreaker, but Gabe's knees are in his opponents chest). Both men manage to tag out and in come Slayton and Steele. Slayton takes Steele down with a series of clotheslines before picking him up with a Samoan Drop. David hooks Damien's arms and lifts him for a Double Underhook Backbreaker. Steele gets slammed to the canvas with the Triple Vertical Suplexes. David follows up with a Jumping Elbowdrop for two. David tries for the Crossface Chickenwing but Steele fights it before it can get applied. David drops Steele with a Sit-Out Facebuster, then ascends to the top rope. Steele seizes the opportunity and takes David down with a Steele Dragon (Leaping Avalanche Frankensteiner)! Matt Baker stars the count.
One!
Two!
Broken up by Gabe Shelley!
Jack comes in and throws Gabe out of the ring. Jack holds David in position for the Loony Stomp, Steele backing to the ropes in preparation. Gabe grabs Steele's feet and trips him. Gabe enters the ring and clotheslines Jack out. Gabe is then clotheslined out by Steele. Steele is then kicked in the face with The Full Effect (Sweet Chin Music)!
One!
Two!
Three!
Salvatore Pellegrino: Here are your winners, Gabe Shelley and David Slayton, TRU REVOLUTION!
Mike Vincent: A fantastic Main Event, not a good night for the Corman Guys. At least Steve Corman kepts his word and didn't come out here.
Cole Haywood: Of course he didn't come out here, you heard him, his doctor hasn't cleared him. Plus, why would he come out here? Him coming out here is a target for the Alliance of Truth to attack him for no reason again.
Gabe regroups with David and the two celebrate their win. The duo egg on Steele and Adams to come back in for more, but they disregard the notion and head to the back. Jack will wait until Anarchy, his terms, to fight Shelley and Steele's eyes are on the Light Heavyweight Title.
Mike Vincent: Thank you for watching AXW, more action comes to you next week from Mobile, Alabama!
