Episode XLII
The cameras swoop across the crowd, showing all the excited fans.
Lily Luna: Welcome to The Alternative! I'm Lily Luna joined as always by Chris Pierce.
Chris Pierce: For the first time in this new era of The Alternative, a championship will be defended tonight.
Lily Luna: That's in tonight's Main Event, right now we're gonna kick it off with some non-title action.
"Remedy" by Seether plays of the P.A. system as the camera pans over the arena stopping at the entrance way as Danny Hall, sporting a fur vest, strolls down to the ring stopping sometimes to yell at children,
Jen Brunelli: This opening contest is set for one fall! Introducing first, from Camden, Tennessee, weighing in at 220 pounds, he is the AXW Light Heavyweight Champion, as well as the BWF Chaos Theory Champion, "Mr. Most Hated" DANNY HALL!
then when he gets to the ring he rolls under the bottom rope to sit in the corner then he stands up.....in the corner.
"Rocketman" starts with all of the lights out with some smoke and one spotlight
"She packed my bags last night pre flight
Zero hour nine a.m.
And I'm gonna be high, as a kite by then
I miss the earth so much, I miss my wife
It's lonely out in space
On such a timeless flight
And I think it's gonna be a long long time
Till touch down brings me round again to find
I'm not the man they think I am at home
Oh no, no, no, I'm a rocket man
Rocket man burning out his fuse up here alone"
Then a hooded figure shows up and waits at the spotlight.
"And I think it's gonna be a long long time
Till touch down brings me round again to find
I'm not the man they think I am at home
Oh no, no, no, I'm a rocket man
Rocket man burning out his fuse up here alone"
Ben raises his arms simultaneously taking off his cape and walks to the ring.
Jen Brunelli: His opponent, from Mason City, Iowa, weighing 223 pounds, BEN "ROCKET MAN" EATR!
"Mars ain't the kind of place to raise your kids
In fact it's cold as Hell
And there's no one there to raise them if you didn't
And all this science, I don't understand
It's just my job, five days a week
A rocket man, a rocket man"
On beat with the song Ben climbs the apron and jumps on the turnbuckle.
"And I think it's gonna be a long long time
Till touch down brings me round again to find
I'm not the man they think I am at home
Oh no, no, no, I'm a rocket man
Rocket man burning out his fuse up here alone
And I think it's gonna be a long long time
Till touch down brings me round again to find
I'm not the man they think I am at home
Oh no, no, no, I'm a rocket man
Rocket man burning out his fuse up here alone"
Ben keeps his arms up then jumps into the ring.
"Now, I think it's gonna be a long long time
And I think it's gonna be a long long time
And I think it's gonna be a long long time
And I think it's gonna be a long long time"
The match starts off with an old school test of strength, that ends with Danny kicking Ben in the gut. Danny drives Ben to the mat with a Double-Arm DDT. Danny irish whips Ben to the ropes and takes him down with a Clothesline. Danny runs off the ropes and now hits Ben with a Clothesline From Hall(Clotheline from Hell). Danny gets a quick two count. Danny sends Ben to the corner and follows suit, but Ben actually manages to get out to the apron. Ben nails Danny with a rope assisted gamengiri. Danny staggers back allowing Ben to come in with a Springboard 450 to the standing Danny. Ben runs the ropes and takes Danny down with a Sling blade. Ben bounces off the ropes once more for a Rocket Shot (Running single leg dropkick). Ben drives Danny down with a Snapmare driver. Ben tries a Gassed Out (Rear Naked Choke) but Danny manages to get to the ropes before he can get all of it locked in. Ben lifts Danny up for Eat the Mat (Reverse Alabama Slam), but Danny is actually able to counter with a reverse hurricanrana. Ben gets back to his feet but only to be clocked with a Shot Heard Round The World(Superkick). Ben gets planted to the canvas with a Reverse Tombstone. Danny lifts Ben onto his shoulders and slams him down with the Hallway to Hell (Roode Bomb).
The look on Danny Hall's face when Ben Eatr actually kicked out of his go-to finisher is priceless. Referee Jessie McCormick gets a face full of Danny who argues with her insisting it was three. Danny is then dropped on the back of his head and neck from an unsuspecting German Suplex from Ben. Ben lifts Danny onto his shoulder before chucking him into the turnbuckle with a Lawn Dart. Ben heads to the top rope, and looks like he's going for a diving hurricanrana, but Danny catches him out of the air and swiftly delivers a Hallmark Gift (Powerbomb Lungblower). Danny hooks both legs, getting all the leverage he can for a three count.
Jen Brunelli: Here is your winner, DANNY HALL!
Lily Luna: Damn, what a match that was. Danny Hall had to use two finishers to put Ben Eatr away.
Chris Pierce: Ben Eatr was in there with the AXW Light Heavyweight Champion, he knew that if he were to beat Danny he'd be put into contention for the title and made sure to give Danny his money's worth tonight. AXW has a number of hidden gems and I believe Ben Eatr is one of them.
"Remedy" by Seether rings throughout the arena once more. Jessie hands Danny both of his titles who raises them high into the air.

We cut backstage where Cloud is sat on a loading crate, staring at the flame coming from his lighter. He doesn't look away from it when Gina Furlow approaches him.
Gina Furlow: I feel like that's probably a fire hazard.
Cloud closes the lighter.
Cloud: Hazard... did those who murdered my sensei care about hazard? He gave me this lighter as a token to remember him by before he passed away from his gunshot wounds. I'm sure in your eyes this is just any old lighter, but it's so much more to me. It's the flame that keeps me going and chase my dreams.
Gina Furlow: I'm sorry that that had to happen to your trainer Asuma Nara, a touching story. If we could move into more of a light-hearted mood, you're one of the newest members of the AXW roster, what do you look to accomplish here?
Cloud: I'm here to hopefully carry on my mentor's legacy. AXW has been blooming with success and this seems like the best place for that.
Gina Furlow: Well I hope you find the success that you're looking for here, good luck to you.
Cloud: Thanks, Gina.
Gina walks off while Cloud leans against the wall, looking up aimlessly at the ceiling.
Returning to the airwaves Monday, September 5
The lights in the arena all turn to red, with the fans in anticipation for whats about to come. After a few seconds of this, "Megitsune" by BABYMETAL takes over the sound system.
As soon as the song plays, the red lights pulse to the beat of the drums with a figure standing in smoke, wearing a robe and a kitsune mask. At the seven second mark of the song, the figure begins to slowly make their way down the ramp. At the fourteen second mark of the song, the figure disrobes and removes their kitsune mask, now walking to the ring at a quicker pace.
Jen Brunelli: This next contest is set for one fall! Introducing first, from Hiroshima, Japan, weighing 112 pounds, she is "Megitsune" KATSUKO NAKAMOTO!
Katsuko makes her way up the steps and hops onto the middle turnbuckle, raising both hands into the air, doing the kitsune hand sign. She steps onto the top rope and front flips into the ring. She walks to her corner and throws strikes at the turnbuckles before her music fades out.
“Like A Prayer” by Madonna plays through the speakers providing a peppy ambiance. The entire arena goes dark momentarily as “Sister Inferior” Olya Latanya Oglovska enters from the ramp with a pair of opera binoculars in her right hand. Three spotlights highlight various audience members who have striking physical attributes. As Olya walks down to the ramp she fans herself with a bidder paddle.
Jen Brunelli: Her opponent, from Saratov, Russia, weighing 115 pounds, "Sister Inferior" OLYA OGLOVSKA!
Upon reaching the arena floor and within clear eye line of her opponent, all three spotlights converge. Oglovska raises her bidder paddle to indicate she plans on procuring another priceless artifact for her exhibit.
The two approach each other. Katsuko tries to throw a quick kick but Olya is able to avoid it. Katsuko tries throwing a Spinning Back Fist and Spinning Back Kick but Olya manages to continue avoiding the strikes. Olya manages to take Katsuko down with a Hip Toss. Olya locks in a Figure-Four Headlock, Katsuko is able to reach her foot out to the rope. The two get up and Katsuko now traps Olya in an Octopus Stretch. Olya is stuck momentarily before falling backwards, the impact enough to cause Katsuko's grip to loosen and for Olya to escape. Olya takes Katsuko down with a Snapmare with Rolling Neck Snap. Olya locks Katsuko in a Guillotine Choke. Katsuko gets free of the grapevine and reverses it into a jackknife pin, getting two before Olya kicks out. Olya gets taken down with a Japanese Arm Drag and Katsuko follows up with the Fujiwara Armbar. When Katsuko realizes that Olya isn't gonna tap, she picks her to her feet and slams her down with a Tiger Bomb. Katsuko ascends the turnbuckles and dives off with the Hātosutoppā (Kairi Hojo-style Diving Elbow Drop). Olya kicks out of the pin at two. Katsuko runs the ropes twice before looking for the Megitsune Kick (Bakatare Sliding Kick), but Olya just barely moves out of the way. Olya lifts Katsuko up for a Fisherwoman's Suplex. Olya keeps hold of the leg and flows over into a Leg DDT. Olya stomps at the leg of Katsuko before jumping up for a knee drop to her leg. Olya locks in her Inverted Sharpshooter and Katsuko howls out in pain. It takes a moment but Katsuko crawls to the rope. Katsuko uses the ropes to help herself up and catches an oncoming Olya with a spinning Back Fist. A dazed Olya stumbles to a corner where Katsuko barrels in with Crescent Moon (Running Curved Corner Yakuza Kick). Katsuko lifts Olya to the top rope and executes Ue Kara Shi (Superplex, flowed into a sit-out Falcon Arrow), and flows right into Kitsune Ni Kama (Kimura Lock)! Olya tries to fight it briefly but taps out.
Jen Brunelli: Here is your winner by submission, KATSUKO NAKAMOTO!
Lily Luna: If you weren't convinced Katsuko Nakamoto should be competing for the AXW Women's Championship, take this win into consideration because she defeated the longest reigning Women's Champ in AXW history.
Chris Pierce: A technical classic that gives Katsuko her first clean win, both competitors should be proud of this one.
Katsuko's arm is raised in victory. The lights in the arena return to red and she climbs the turnbuckles, holding up the fox sign.

Renee Peltier is backstage with Janet Hurricane.
Renee Peltier: Janet Hurricane, one of your opponents at Anarchy will be the woman we just watched, Katsuko Nakamoto. Now that we have seen an uninterrupted match of hers, what's your opinion on her?
Janet Hurricane: She's good, sure. She's just not Janet Hurricane good. I'm not sweating over this newcomer who is still a teenager, I'm not sweating over Hailey's new sluttier attitude, the only thing I have to worry about is which of them I'm gonna pin to win back the AXW Women's Championship. Tell you what, why don't you show this Japanese girl my matches against Zoey Mathews-Mitchell and ask her opinions on me. I am the Threat in Triple Threat, and if neither want to admit it, I'll just prove it to them first hand at Anarchy.
Returning LIVE on BWF Network. Moving to Wednesdays starting August 24.
"Dammit" plays and out walk Sam De Santa and Trent Mathews. Sam stops on the stage and places her hand on her hip. Trent steps in front of her and drops to his knees, extending his arms out as pyro rains down behind them. Once the pyro stops, Trent stands up and the two make their way down the ramp.
Trent slides into the ring while Sam walks up the steps. Trent steps onto the middle turnbuckle, looking around at the fans. Sam stands in the ring, extending her arms towards Trent, as if telling the fans to bask in the glory that is Trent Mathews. Trent steps down and holds his arms back, allowing Sam to remove his leather jacket. Sam steps out to the apron, hangs the jacket from the ring post, and walks down the steps, while Trent readies himself for the match.
"Code Red" by Nonpoint blares as a red light shines down on the ramp, flashing and flickering as Bruiser Lazzou emerges to a chorus of boos in a black singlet with a red hazard symbol on it, cracking his knuckles and then slapping his face, roaring and then pounding his chest before heading to the ring, yelling "OPEN FOR BUSINESS!" to fans, some of the younger ones still so traumatized by this once beloved hero. He enters the ring and runs the ropes, stomping his feet like a bull and roaring once again with his arms extended and his head tilted back, roaring once more as his music fades out.
Jen Brunelli: This is your Alternative Main Event, set for one fall, and is for the AXW Xperience Championship! Introducing first, the challenger, accompanied to the ring by Sam De Santa, from Owasco, New York, weighing 217 pounds, TRENT MATHEWS!
Trent ghost-belts, before outstretching his arms.
Jen Brunelli: His opponent, from Augusta, Maine, weighing 325 pounds, he is the defending AXW Xperience Champion, BRUISER LAZZOU!
Bruiser raises his title high, before handing it off to Senior Official Matt Baker.
A rivalry renewed for tonight, Bruiser actually allows Trent to get some free shots in at him. When Trent runs off the ropes, Bruiser pops him up into the air and lets him free fall to the mat. Bruiser lifts Trent up and throws him into the corner. Bruiser unloads on Trent with a number of chops, turning Trent's chest red. Bruiser backs off at Baker's count of four and Trent exits the ring to regain composure, talking up new strategy with Sam. Bruiser doesn't allow the space as he comes out and shoves Trent hard into the barricade. Bruiser slams Trent hard on the apron before pushing him back into the ring. Bruiser goes to slide in but Sam grabs hold of his leg. Sam didn't really think this one through, seeing as Bruiser outweighs her by over 200 pounds, she just ends up getting dragged into the ring. Sam in the ring provides a distraction to Lazzou, allowing Trent to climb to the top rope. Sam scurries out of the ring and when Bruiser's attention is brought back to Trent, Trent dives off for the Altrentative (diving cutter). Bruiser catches Trent and drops him across the knee for a backbreaker. Lazzou whips Trent to the ropes and Trent again tries to get offense in as he springboards off them for a moonsault. Again Lazzou catches Trent and this time plants him with a running powerslam. Lazzou runs off the ropes and squishes Trent with Bruising Bodies (Big Splash). Lazzou decides to stop playing around and lifts Trent onto his shoulders. Lazzou climbs up the turnbuckles and drives Trent to the mat with Bruised and Battered(Top Rope Samoan Drop). Lazzou looks directly at Sam, places his foot on the side of Trent's face, and dares her to come in and break up the pin. She does not, and the three count is made.
Jen Brunelli: Here is your winner, and STILL the AXW Xperience Champion, BRUISER LAZZOU!
Lily Luna: A straight up emphatic win for Bruiser Lazzou. He just dominated Trent Mathews.
Chris Pierce: Don't forget it was Lazzou who put Mathews on the shelf for a few months before he came back aligned with De Santa. You'll note that the only offense Trent got in was the few shots Lazzou allowed him to get in at the start of the match.
Bruiser Lazzou is handed his AXW Xperience Championship, and once again, simply exits the ring. He rests the title on his shoulder as he walks up the ramp. Sam enters the ring to check on Trent.
Lily Luna: That's it for this edition of The Alternative, tune to ION TV for more AXW action!
