SaskTel Centre
Saskatoon, Saskatchewan, Canada
Episode LV
Pyro blasts from the stage and Alternatron before cameras pan across the crowd.
Lily Luna: Ladies and gentleman, this is The Alternative, now live on ION television! We're coming off a great night that was Winterslam, we continue our tour of Canada as we come to you from Saskatchewan! I'm Lily Luna joined as always by Chris Pierce.
Chris Pierce: Winterslam was indeed a great event, we have a lot more great action in store for you tonight on both The Alternative and AXW later on, so let's get the night started with singles action.
The opening horn to start off the theme played throughout the P.A. system as "Fuck Love" by Iggy Azalea begin to play and the Alternatron displayed a shaking motion of Cheyenne Hogan's name. The Girl on Fire herself then emerge from the curtains and out to the stage, turning her back towards the crowd with her hands over her head. When the beat of the song drops, Cheyenne switches her leg out, before spinning back towards the ramp and begins to walk down the aisle.
Jen Brunelli: This opening contest is set for one fall! Introducing first, wrestling out of Boston, Massachusetts, weighing 125 pounds, "Girl on Fire" CHEYENNE HOGAN!
"Fuck love, give me diamonds
Fuck love, give me diamonds
Fuck love, give me diamonds
Fuck love, give me diamonds
I'm already in love with myself
I'm already in love with myself
I'm already in love with myself
Fuck love, give me diamonds"
Cheyenne is up to ringside, where she takes a short run and hops along the apron, climbing on it with on her knees as she posed with her hand over her red hair, before raising up and stepping through the ropes to get into the ring. She sways her red head from side to side before looking back at the Alternatron.
After seven seconds from the beginning of the song, a short blonde woman steps forward on the stage. She blows kisses to the crowd.
Jen Brunelli: Her opponent, making her AXW Debut, wrestling out of Toronto, Ontario, Canada, weighing 102 pounds, VIOLA HILLS!
She then makes her way to the ring while slapping the fans' hands, hugging some of the kids on the way. Viola slides into the ring and poses for the crowd, who cheer for her. She then turns to the stage, hyped for her match.
The two lock up, with the slightly larger Hogan backing Hills into the corner. Cheyenne unloads with some punches, until being forced out of the corner by Jessie McCormick. Cheyenne re-approaches Viola but is met with some knees to the face. Viola pulls herself to the middle turnbuckle and comes off with a diving Hurricanrana. Hills lifts Hogan up and bounces her off the top rope to deliver a Slingshot Atomic drop. Viola follows up with a Back Suplex. Hills runs the ropes and delivers a Somersault Senton to Hogan, and follows that up with a Springboard leg drop for a two count. Hills lifts Hogan to her feet where Cheyenne hits Viola with a straight up Slap. Hogan is able to duck a clothesline and takes Hill down with a Small Package, quick two count. Both are back up and Hogan takes Hills down with a Snapmare followed by a Low-angle Front Dropkick to the seated opponent's face. Hogan takes the time to talk some trash, then climbs to the second rope, where she looks for an Elbow Drop that connects with the canvas. Hogan gets up to her feet where she clutches her elbow, and turns around to be met with The Bombshell (Flying forearm smash)! Viola heads to the apron and climbs to the top turnbuckle, showing off her athleticism once more with a 450 splash. Viola lifts Cheyenne to her feet, only to take her back down with SparkleSlam (Straight Jacket Neckbreaker Slam), and with that, Viola Hills earns her first AXW victory.
Jen Brunelli: Here is your winner, VIOLA HILLS!
Lily Luna: Viola Hills walks away victorious in her first match in AXW, as this young newcomer adds to the ever growing women's division.
Chris Pierce: She has had some success in smaller Toronto based promotions, and looks to make a bigger name for herself as she joins AXW, her first win here being in her home country.
McCormick raises the arm of Viola Hills. She takes the time to celebrate in the ring before exiting, high fiving the ringside fans as she makes her way to the back.

We cut somewhere backstage where Duncan Aries is shadow boxing. He stops, as it appears someone is approaching him. It's the AXW Tag Team Champions, Lethal Weapons. Justin stands back as it's TO'A who confronts Aries.
Duncan Aries: Can I help you?
TO'A: I'm here to inform you that you will be competing tonight.
Duncan Aries: Is that so?
Duncan gets face to face with the Samoan Executioner.
Duncan Aries: Against who?
TO'A: You're looking at him. Now that we don't have any title defenses to prepare for, I'm finally going to get my revenge from when you raked my eyes in that AXW title tournament a little while ago.
Duncan Aries: I hate to break it to you, actually, I don't, but the result is gonna be the same, regardless of whether or not I touch your overly sensitive eyes.
TO'A starts to back off, confidently.
TO'A: We'll see about that.
The champions fully leave frame. Duncan shakes his head and goes back to shadow boxing.

"Confident" by Demi Lovato is already playing throughout the arena as Kaylee Violet is stood in the ring.
Jen Brunelli: This next contest is set for one fall! Introducing first, already in the ring, wrestling out of Jupiter, Florida, weighing 122 pounds, KAYLEE VIOLET!
"Danger! High Voltage" starts as Allyson Hydecker comes jogging out lip syncing to the Electric Six tune while slapping hands
Jen Brunelli: Her opponent, wrestling out of Appleton, Wisconsin, weighing 156 pounds, she is "The Punk Rock Rebel" ALLYSON HYDECKER!
then she gets to the ring and slides in, gets on one knee, and throws her arms up
The two lock up and the larger Hydecker gets Violet in a side headlock. Kaylee tries to fight out of it, but is taken down with the side headlock takedown. Violet is able to escape by locking Allyson in a headscissors. Hydecker is able to get her feet under her and slams Kaylee down with a powerbomb to break the hold. Hydecker stuns Violet with an Enziguri, and is fully taken down by a Discus Big Boot. Hydecker runs the ropes and nails Violet with a Record Smash (Running Single Leg Dropkick). Hydecker lifts Violet into the air before slamming her down with a Suplex. Allyson jumps up as high as she can to deliver a Fire Starter (Standing Double Foot Stomp) for a two count. Allyson tries running the ropes again but on the rebound is doubled over by a Snap Side Kick. Violet gets behind Hydecker and hooks her arms, appearing to set up an Unprettier, but Hydecker is able to shove her off. Violet is met with a hard forearm smash and stumbles backward into the corner. Hydecker quickly gets to the opposite corner and runs full speed to deliver Wisconsin Deck (Running Double Knees to the face of a cornered opponent)! Violet falls to the mat and Hydecker hooks both legs for the victory.
Jen Brunelli: Here is your winner, ALLYSON HYDECKER!
Lily Luna: After some sporadic losses, Allyson Hydecker picks up her first AXW win.
Chris Pierce: She was drafted to BWF Mayhem at the start of the week, and not 24 hours later was also signed to AXW full-time. She very quickly has a lot going for her and it starts with this win on AXW.
Allyson's arm is raised by Brian Sullivan as her theme song replays throughout the arena. She stands on the bottom rope and points out to the fans to a positive response before we cut to commercial.

Gina Furlow is standing by with Katsuko Nakamoto and her translator, April Maeda.
Gina Furlow: Welcome back to The Alternative, I'm Gina Furlow and joining me are Katsuko Nakamoto and her translator, April Maeda. Katsuko, a hard fought win at Winterslam alongside, Lizzy Knoxxx, what's next for "Megitsune"?
Katsuko begins to give her answer in Japanese, but is suddenly floored by Android 18 and Olya Oglovska. The two pummel Katsuko while April tries to get some help.
Android 18: Fluke! It was a fluke!
Olya Oglovska: We will not sit quietly by while precious artifact Gina Furlow interviews unworthy interviewee Katsuko Nakamoto. We are AXW's it couple, so why aren't you interviewink us?
Gina Furlow: Well, ok, where do you two go from here?
Android 18: We go up. We aren't gonna let a couple a nobodies with a fluke win define who we are.
Olya Oglovska: We are the It Couple, and tonight, Katsuko will receive more punishment.
The duo walk away while Katsuko is now being attended to.

"How Sweet to be an Idiot" by Neil Innes as Cloud comes out of the curtains with one hand on his pocket and the other hand holding a lighter. He flicks the lighter and stares at the flame as if he was in a trance and then he points up at the sky, saying, "Rest in Peace Sensei." Cloud puts the lighter back in his pocket and makes his way to the ring.
Jen Brunelli: This next contest is set for one fall! Introducing first, wrestling out of Los Angeles, California, weighing 210 pounds, CLOUD!
He slaps hands with almost every fans and then later regrets leaving few fans hanging before entering the ring. Cloud then goes to the nearest corner and sits down like Raven, patiently waiting for the match to start
"Cut the Cord" starts as Bray Coleman creepily walks out in a top hat with holes in it and a torn up trench coat, he walks down to the ring
Jen Brunelli: His opponent, wrestling out of Hoboken, New Jersey, weighing 226 pounds, "The Krazy Karney" BRAY COLEMAN!
and when he gets to the end of the ramp he crouches down to remove his hat then his coat and he runs into the ring and lays on the mat staring at his opponent(s)
Bray Coleman starts the match by taking Cloud down with a series of clotheslines. Bray sends Cloud to the ropes and throws him up for a big Back Body Drop. Bray tries to get an early victory off of a Belly-to-Belly suplex but gets a one count. Bray lifts Cloud up for a Sidewalk Slam, then hits the ropes for a Running Senton, this time a two count. Bray lifts Cloud to his feet, where Cloud shoves him away for separation then nails him with The Raining God Syndrome (Superkick). Bray falls to the mat and rolls out to the apron, where Cloud continues his offense, delivering Grey Sky (Snap DDT onto the ring apron). Cloud gets Bray back into the ring and climbs the turnbuckles, diving onto Bray with a Cloud 9 (Diving Moonsault to standing opponent), earning a two count for himself. The two are back to their feet, where Bray throws a kick, but Cloud catches it. Cloud spins Bray around, and at the same spins around himself to deliver a Spinning back fist. Cloud lifts Bray overhead to deliver a German Suplex. Cloud brings Bray back to his feet to deliver a Lighting Strikes Twice (Pepsi Twist), another two count. Cloud runs the ropes and is caught with The Ferris Wheel (Tilt-a-world Slam) from Bray. Bray heads to the top rope where he successfully delivers a Karnival Kross (Diving Crossbody). Bray starts to hook Cloud for a Karnival Ride (Small Package Driver), but Cloud reverses with a small package, getting a close two count. Both men get to their feet and Cloud hoofs Bray in the gut and plants him with Drift Away (Lifting Inverted DDT). Cloud awaits for Bray to get to his feet and traps him in a Strange Cloud(Christo), forcing Bray to tap out.
Jen Brunelli: Here is your winner by submission, CLOUD!
Lily Luna: Cloud building some momentum with a win over the Beauty and the Jekyll member.
Chris Pierce: Bray Coleman is no slouch as he and Michael Veaga have been a very competitive tag team, so a good win for Cloud here.
"How Sweet to be an Idiot" replays as Cloud's arm is raised by Shane Gates. Cloud takes some time to celebrate his win in the ring before exiting and high fiving some fans on his way up the ramp. He misses one and tries to go reach back for the high five, but knows he has to get to the back, and just causes an awkward situation all around.

We return backstage where we see Malcolm M. Mitchell, dressed in a dark hoodie over a t-shirt, bleach blonde hair pulled back in a ponytail, looking off at nothing in particular. He's approached by Brad Adams.
Brad Adams: Malcolm, if I could get a moment of your time. The big question being asked to everyone after Winterslam, and especially after your loss to Duncan Aries, what's next for you?
Malcolm M. Mitchell: That's the million dollar question, isn't it? Where does Malcolm M. Mitchell go from here? People will say "I'm going up!" or "I'm chasing a title!" But the fact of the matter is, I don't know where I go from here. It was a mission of mine to defeat Duncan Aries, and I didn't get it done. So why should I stand here and tell you that I'm going to do x or I'm going to do y if I can't follow through with it? I don't know when my next match is, I don't know who my next opponent is. It's not hard to figure out that my win-loss record is more favorable to the loss side, and if that continues, then maybe I should find a different career.
Brad Adams: Well you have had success in your career, you're a former--
Malcolm M. Mitchell: Tag team champion, yes I'm well aware. The only success I've had is with the help of others. For all I know, what's next for Malcolm M. Mitchell could be a tag team with some person I don't even know or don't even want to team with. What's next for me is whatever the hell Luke Mathews decides to throw at me.
With that, Malcolm walks away.
Interchanging Fridays!
Suddenly, the area would go completely dark, except for the Alternatron showing rapidly-spinning barbed wire.
"I'm not the one who's so far away
When I feel the snake bite enter my veins
Never did I wanna be here again
And I don't remember why I came"
The sound of "Voodoo" by Godsmack would play through the PA system as Lizzy Knoxxx walked out to the stage, looking around at the cheering crowd with a sadistic smile on her face, eyes almost bulging out of the sockets, before shooting up her arms to cross her wrists.
Jen Brunelli: This next contest is set for one fall! Introducing first, wrestling out of New Brunswick, New Jersey, "Crazy" LIZZY KNOXXX!
She would then walk down the ramp, whipping her hair from side to side with a sick grin on her face before sliding into the ring and rises up to walk to the nearest turnbuckle. She would climb to its second rung before slightly hunced over and whips her hair back, throws her hands up to make their cross at the wrist again before jumping off the turnbuckle to her feet.
The opening to "Ready to Go" by Panic! at the Disco takes over the sound system as colorful lights swirl and pan across the arena. Upon the whole band entering the song, out struts a blonde haired woman. She stops right before the ramp, places a hand on her hip, and blows a kiss into the camera. She makes her way down the ramp.
Jen Brunelli: Her opponent, wrestling out of Riviera Beach, Florida, weighing 127 pounds, MEGAN MITCHELL!
Megan high fives some of the ring side fans and walks around to the camera side ring apron. She climbs onto the apron and again blows a kiss to the camera. She enters the ring and climbs onto a second turnbuckle on the opposite side of the ring. She whips her hair back and runs her hands through her hair, before outstretching her arms. She steps off the turnbuckle and prepares to face her opponent.
The two ladies lock up, the taller Megan tripping Lizzy with a leg sweep. Megan uses her longer legs to her advantage by booting Lizzy in the face, knocking her back down. Megan continues her leg based strikes with a Gamengiri, followed by a Shining Enzuigiri, earning a two count. Megan lifts Lizzy to her feet and Lizzy turns the tables with a Forearm Smash. Megan stumbles back and then re-approaches Lizzy, but ends up walking into a F.Y.L. (Fuck Your Life) [Hip Toss followed by a Cartwheel followed by a low-angle Front Dropkick]. Lizzy irish whips Megan to the corner, and sends her up into the air with a Monkey Flip. Lizzy lifts Megan up for a Northern Lights Suplex, bridging into a two count. Megan rolls to the apron to try to create some separation. This allows Lizzy to execute a Triangle Dropkick, sending Megan to the floor. Lizzy gains some momentum before diving out of the ring with a Suicide Dive. Lizzy rolls Megan back into the ring and slides in after. Lizzy approaches Megan and receives a kick to the knee. Megan quickly gets to her feet and runs the ropes to deliver a Chop Block. Megan grabs Lizzy's leg and delivers a Leg DDT. Megan attempts to lock in a submission but Lizzy is able to scurry to the ropes before she can lock it in. Megan pulls Lizzy to her feet and brings her to the middle of the ring, starting to lift her up for a Queen of Diamonds (Suplex lift into cutter), but Lizzy is able to turn it into a Dizzy Lizzy [Tornado DDT] to earn victory.
Jen Brunelli: Here is your winner, LIZZY KNOXXX!
Lily Luna: Lizzy Knoxxx continues to impress, picking up a win over Megan Mitchell.
Chris Pierce: Malcolm's not the only one having some bad luck as his sister adds yet another loss to her loss column.
Gus Ramos raises Lizzy's arm. Lizzy gingerly exits the ring and makes her way to the back.

We cut backstage to Luke Mathews' office, where the head honcho himself is sat at his desk, doing some paperwork. A knock is heard.
Luke Mathews: Come in.
The door opens and a person walks up to his desk.
Luke Mathews: How can I help you, Rochelle?
Rochelle: I know I lost at Winterslam, but if I get just one more chance... I feel like I really can take Janet down and become AXW Women's Champion.
Luke Mathews: You did lose at Winterslam which is why I will not outright just hand you a title match. However, you can have a chance to earn one. Next week, you will be competing in a Number One Contender's Match against...
Luke takes some time to think of a quality opponent.
Luke Mathews: Android 18.
Rochelle takes this in and nods.
Rochelle: She's nothin'. I'll beat her, then I'm taking the Women's Title from Janet Hurricane. Thank you.
Rochelle leaves and we head back to ringside.
-----
The cameras focus on a structure hanging above the ring: an AXW Cage. It descends down and stops about 10 feet above the ring.
Jen Brunelli: This is your Alternative Main Event, an AXW Cage Match set for one fall, where the winner will be the Number One Contender to the AXW Light Heavyweight Championship!
Lily Luna: This is scheduled to be the last encounter between Danny Hall and Acer Stone, one of them will remain in contention for the Light Heavyweight Championship, the other will have to start from scratch.
"Remedy" by Seether plays of the P.A. system as the camera pans over the arena stopping at the entrance way as Danny Hall, sporting a fur vest, strolls down to the ring stopping sometimes to yell at children,
Jen Brunelli: Introducing first, wrestling out Camden, Tennessee, weighing 220 pounds, "Mr. Most Hated" DANNY HALL!
then when he gets to the ring he rolls under the bottom rope to sit in the corner then he stands up.....in the corner.
‘Invincible’ by Adelitas Way hits and Acer Stone runs out from the back looking pumped up and energetic. He heads down the ramp and punches the air three times as red pyros go off at the top of the ramp behind him.
Jen Brunelli: His opponent, wrestling out of Tampa, Florida, weighing 165 pounds, ACER STONE!
Acer heads over to the fans and slaps hands with them as he gets to the ring. He climbs into the ring and works the crowd a little more before they join him in punching the air three times.
Matt Baker keeps both men at bay as the cage lowers to the apron, and then calls for the bell.
The match starts off with a fist fight, with Stone even throwing in some kicks. Danny ends up clawing Acer's face, probably jamming some fingers in his eyes as well, and forces him into the corner where he takes full control, hammering away with vicious strikes. Danny grinds Acer's face against the cage wall, then runs him across the ring and slams him into the opposing wall. Acer falls to the mat, and Danny grabs his legs, and falls backwards, catapulting him into the wall. However, Acer hops onto the top rope and clings the wall. Acer springs off the top rope to deliver a Springboard Hurricanrana. Acer grabs Danny by the hair and tights, and throws him through the ropes into the wall. Danny slumps down to the apron and Stone hits the ropes, delivering a baseball slide, crushing Danny against the cage. Acer drags Danny out to cover him, earning two. Acer brings Danny up where Danny kicks Acer hard in the gut. Danny runs the ropes only for Acer to lift him up for a Flapjack, driving Danny into the wall. Acer sees an opportunity, and delivers a Stone Cutter (Axe Kick), again only earning two. Acer brings Danny back up and whips him into the corner. Stone rushes in and gets a boot to the face. Danny comes out of the corner with a Running Knee. Danny wants to inflict more damage which is why he repeatedly slams Acer's face against the cage. Danny lifts Acer onto his shoulders in a powerbomb position, and rams him back first into the chain link. Danny runs across the ring and does it again, before dropping him with a Release Powerbomb. Thinking that's it, Danny covers Acer who barely kicks out.
Danny bounces off the ropes and clobbers Acer with a Clothesline From Hall(Clotheline from Hell). Danny lifts Acer back onto his shoulders, perhaps for a Hallmark Gift (Powerbomb Lungblower), but Acer reverses with a Headscissors Whip, sending Danny between the ropes, hitting the cage head first. Acer hoists Danny into the air, before slamming him down with the Stalling Suplex. Acer heads to a corner and climbs up. Standing on the top turnbuckle, he looks at Danny, and it's obvious that this is a very big jump for Acer to have to make to reach him. Acer jumps up and grabs the cage ceiling, and starts to monkey bar his way across it. Hovering over Danny, he lets go and delivers a Shooting Star Elbow Drop! The fans are going crazy and Acer picks Danny up, locking him in a 3/4 headlock, then looks to springboard off the second rope, but Danny pushes him off into the cage wall. Danny lifts Hall up and plants him to the canvas with a Hallway to Hell (Roode Bomb)! Danny hooks the outside leg and this one is over.
Jen Brunelli: Here is your winner, DANNY HALL!
Lily Luna: Danny Hall advances to face Ben Eatr for the AXW Light Heavyweight Championship!
Chris Pierce: And Acer Stone now has to move on from this rivalry. If Danny Hall manages to dethrone the Rocket Man, perhaps he can have a title run in peace.
"Remedy" rings throughout the arena as the AXW Cage begins to rise. Matt Baker holds Danny's hand up before he rips it away, climbing a turnbuckle to celebrate his victory.
Lily Luna: Ladies and gentlemen don't go anywhere, AXW is coming up next!
