Episode LVII
After a pyrotechnics display, we are welcomed by Lily Luna.
Lily Luna: Tonight we are coming to you live from Toronto, this is The Alternative. I'm Lily Luna joined by my broadcast partner Chris Pierce, and another great night of action is in store, Chris.
Chris Pierce: And let's not waste any more time, let's kick the night off with the 2016 AXW Male Wrestler of the Year.
"Remedy" by Seether plays of the P.A. system as the camera pans over the arena stopping at the entrance way as Danny Hall, sporting a fur vest, strolls down to the ring stopping sometimes to yell at children,
Jen Brunelli: This opening contest is set for one fall! Introducing first, wrestling out of Camden, Tennessee, weighing 220 pounds, "Mr. Most Hated" DANNY HALL!
then when he gets to the ring he rolls under the bottom rope to sit in the corner then he stands up.....in the corner.
"Smells Like Teen Spirit" plays and when the whole band enters, Jesus Lorenzo makes his out from the back.
Jen Brunelli: His opponent, wrestling out of Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, weighing 229 pounds, JESUS LORENZO!
He walks a brisk pace to the ring, slides in and climbs the turnbuckle, using his left hand to smack his elbow, referencing his WWJD finisher.
vs.
A hard hitting affair that sees Danny delivering a Throat Chop, Kick to Side of Head, Enziguri, Clothesline From Hall(Clotheline from Hell), and Shot Heard Round The World(Superkick). Jesus responds with Lariat, Palm Strikes, Forearms, Roundhouse Kick, Yakuza Kick.Danny would duck a WWJD (Rolling Elbow) attempt and trap Jesus in a Paradox(Crossface Chickenwing) for a submission victory.
Jen Brunelli: Here is your winner by submission, DANNY HALL!
Lily Luna: Danny Hall picks up momentum as he's looking to reclaim his spot as Light Heavyweight Champion at Collide.
Chris Pierce: It's also not often that Danny goes for the Paradox as a mean to win. Danny Hall very well could become an unprecedented three time AXW Light Heavyweight Champion.
Danny's arm is raised before he heads to a corner and climbs to the second turnbuckle and ghost belts, motioning he will become Light Heavyweight Champion once again.
-----
Backstage, Gabe Shelley is standing with Gina Furlow.
Gina Furlow: Gabe, you requested this time, what's on your mind?
Gabe Shelley: Damien Steele. This guy doesn't care how far he goes, and he's going to regret it. It's one thing to talk about my wife or myself, but there's no need to bring our daughter into this. I've been granted a match with him tonight, and I don't care about putting on a good match, all I care about right now is punching him in the head as many times as I can.
Gabe walks away and we go back to ringside.
-----
"Danger! High Voltage" starts as Allyson Hydecker comes jogging out lip syncing to the Electric Six tune while slapping hands
Jen Brunelli: This next contest is set for one fall! Introducing first, wrestling out of Appleton, Wisconsin, weighing 156 pounds, "The Punk Rock Rebel" ALLYSON HYDECKER!
then she gets to the ring and slides in, gets on one knee, and throws her arms up
The opening horn to start off the theme played throughout the P.A. system as "Fuck Love" by Iggy Azalea begin to play and the Alternatron displayed a shaking motion of Cheyenne Hogan's name. The Girl on Fire herself then emerge from the curtains and out to the stage, turning her back towards the crowd with her hands over her head. When the beat of the song drops, Cheyenne switches her leg out, before spinning back towards the ramp and begins to walk down the aisle.
Jen Brunelli: Her opponent, wrestling out of Boston, Massachusetts, weighing 125 pounds, "Girl on Fire" CHEYENNE HOGAN!
"Fuck love, give me diamonds
Fuck love, give me diamonds
Fuck love, give me diamonds
Fuck love, give me diamonds
I'm already in love with myself
I'm already in love with myself
I'm already in love with myself
Fuck love, give me diamonds"
Cheyenne is up to ringside, where she takes a short run and hops along the apron, climbing on it with on her knees as she posed with her hand over her red hair, before raising up and stepping through the ropes to get into the ring. She sways her red head from side to side before looking back at her opponent.
vs.
A competitive match that sees a Lifting DDT, Discus Big Boot, Record Smash (Running Single Leg Dropkick), and Fire Starter (Standing Double Foot Stomp) from Hydecker. Hogan is able to pull off Snap Suplex, Corner Clothesline, Diamond Cutter [Springboard Roundhouse Kick], and 180° Charging Facebuster. Cheyenne argues with Jessie McCormick after Hydecker kicked out of the facebuster, allowing Hydecker to scoop Hogan onto her shoulders and drive her to the mat with Greetings from Appleton (Running Death Vally Driver) for the victory.
Jen Brunelli: Here is your winner, ALLYSON HYDECKER!
Lily Luna: Allyson Hydecker continues to climb up in the ever growing women's division.
Chris Pierce: She's looking to cement a legacy for herself, if she keeps racking up wins she'll accomplish that sooner rather than later.
Allyson takes a moment to celebrate in the ring, before exiting and high fiving fans on her way up the ramp as we head to commercial.
We return from commercial in Luke Mathews' office. Luke is watching something on a monitor on his desk. The sound of his door opening catches his attention.
Luke Mathews: Been quite a while since you've come to my office. How can I help you?
Approaching the desk is one Duncan Aries.
Duncan Aries: I figured you'd be smart enough to deduct why I would come in here, but since you apparently aren't, allow me to explain. Last week, I defeated Justin Wyndham: AXW Tag Team Champion. Prior to that, I defeated TO'A: AXW Tag Team Champion, on two occasions. So I step foot in here to not ask you, but to tell you, that I'm gunning for the AXW Tag Team Championships.
Luke Mathews: Seeing as you have defeated both Tag Team Champions, I can't really argue that. I will grant you an AXW Tag Team Championship Match at Collide, but, you need a partner.
Duncan Aries: I don't need a partner.
Luke Mathews: I'm not granting you this match without a partner. I know you don't really have any friends here anymore, but don't worry, I'll appoint a partner for you. Let's see...
Luke takes a moment to ponder a partner for Aries. Suddenly, a grin spreads across his face.
Duncan Aries: No. No no no, you better not be thinking about who I think you're thinking about.
Luke Mathews: Duncan Aries, your tag team partner will be none other than... Malcolm--
Duncan Aries: Fuck off.
Luke Mathews: --M. Mitchell.
Duncan Aries: Go fuck yourself.
Luke Mathews: You want a Tag Team Title Match? Then that's your partner. To ensure you and your partner can gel well together, I'll line up a tag team match for the two of you later.
Duncan takes a deep sigh.
Duncan Aries: I fucking hate you.
Duncan walks off.
-----
The opening to "Ready to Go" by Panic! at the Disco takes over the sound system as colorful lights swirl and pan across the arena. Upon the whole band entering the song, out struts a blonde haired woman. She stops right before the ramp, places a hand on her hip, and blows a kiss into the camera. She makes her way down the ramp.
Jen Brunelli: This next contest is set for one fall! Introducing first, wrestling out of Riviera Beach, Florida, weighing 127 pounds, MEGAN MITCHELL!
Megan high fives some of the ring side fans and walks around to the camera side ring apron. She climbs onto the apron and again blows a kiss to the camera. She enters the ring and climbs onto a second turnbuckle on the opposite side of the ring. She whips her hair back and runs her hands through her hair, before outstretching her arms. She steps off the turnbuckle and prepares to face her opponent.
The crowd pops loud as Skillet's "Hero" begins to play. After seven seconds from the beginning of the song, Viola steps forward on the stage. She blows kisses to the crowd. She then makes her way to the ring while slapping the fans' hands, hugging some of the kids on the way.
Jen Brunelli: Her opponent, weighing 102 pounds, Toronto's own, VIOLA HILLS!
Viola slides into the ring and poses for the crowd, who cheer for her. She then turns to the stage, hyped for her match.
vs.
Megan is able to keep Viola's hometown crowd at bay with moves like Tiger Suplex, Fisherman Brainbuster, Uranage Backbreaker, Diving Knee Attack, and a Jumping Superkick. The crowd gets into it when Viola strikes Megan with a Roundhouse Kick, followed by moves like The Bombshell (Flying forearm smash), Hurricanrana, Slingshot Atomic drop, Diving Back Elbow, and really lights up the crowd with a standing 450 splash. Viola hooks the arms of Megan and drops her to the canvas with a SparkleSlam (Straight Jacket Neckbreaker Slam) for the three count.
Jen Brunelli: Here is your winner, VIOLA HILLS!
Lily Luna: A nice win for Viola Hills tonight in front of a lot of friends and family.
Chris Pierce: Despite her small stature and stepping into the ring with the tallest current female competitor to grace an AXW ring tonight, she continues to impress.
Viola is ecstatic about her win tonight. After celebrating at all four corners, she takes a bow in the middle of the ring. She leaves and approaches a woman in the front row who hardcore Canadian wrestling fans can identify as Diana Hills, Viola's mother, whom she hugs. Viola high fives fans on her way out of the arena.
-----
We cut backstage, where the crowd continues to cheer as we see another Toronto native, Renee Peltier.
Renee Peltier: Ladies and gentlemen please welcome my guest at this time, AXW Light Heavyweight Champion, Ben Eatr. Ben, a tough week last week as a nasty spill on your end leads to a loss in tag team action. How are you feeling after crashing onto the ramp?
Ben Eatr: I'm alright, Renee, thanks for asking. What's life without taking some chances? I'm fine, and all I'm really focused on right now is Danny Hall and Collide. See--
Suddenly, Ben drops to the floor as he's attacked from behind. Danny Hall throws him into a loading crate, before mounting him and hammering away at him with punches. Danny locks Ben in a Paradox, and after several seconds several officials come to pry Danny Hall off of Ben Eatr. As they escort Danny away, Danny makes sure he's heard.
Danny Hall: You don't have what it takes, Eatr! You're a disgrace to MY championship!
We head to commercial.
"How Sweet to be an Idiot" by Neil Innes as Cloud comes out of the curtains with one hand on his pocket and the other hand holding a lighter. He flicks the lighter and stares at the flame as if he was in a trance and then he points up at the sky, saying, "Rest in Peace Sensei." Cloud puts the lighter back in his pocket and makes his way to the ring.
Jen Brunelli: This next contest is set for one fall! Introducing first, wrestling out of Los Angeles, California, weighing 210 pounds, CLOUD!
He slaps hands with almost every fans and then later regrets leaving few fans hanging before entering the ring. Cloud then goes to the nearest corner and sits down like Raven, patiently waiting for the match to start
‘Invincible’ by Adelitas Way hits and Acer Stone runs out from the back looking pumped up and energetic. He heads down the ramp and punches the air three times as red pyros go off at the top of the ramp behind him.
Jen Brunelli: His opponent, wrestling out of Tampa, Florida, weighing 165 pounds, ACER STONE!
Acer heads over to the fans and slaps hands with them as he gets to the ring. He climbs into the ring and works the crowd a little more before they join him in punching the air three times.
vs.
Back and forth these two go. Cloud's offense sees a Swinging Neckbreaker, Handspring back elbow, Lighting Strikes Twice (Pepsi Twist), German Suplex, The Raining God Syndrome (Superkick), Springboard Flash Kick, and Cloud 9 (Diving Moonsault to standing opponent). Stone is able to execute Jumping Tornado DDT, Flapjack, Shining Wizard, Stone Cutter (Axe Kick), Springboard Hurricanranna, Stalling Suplex, and Shooting Star Elbow Drop. The conclusion of the match sees Cloud delivering a Drift Away (Lifting Inverted DDT) before following up with Obscure(Moonlight Drive) for a pinfall victory.
Jen Brunelli: Here is your winner, CLOUD!
Lily Luna: Another big win for Cloud as he defeats a former AXW Light Heavyweight Champion.
Chris Pierce: Cloud's turning his luck around with these past few wins, if he keeps it up he could find himself in title contention.
Cloud hops up in joy after his successful win. Stone manages to get back to his feet, and after what happened last week, Cloud is unsure if he should offer his hand. He ends up holding his hand out, and Stone accepts. After the good sportsmanship, we head backstage.

Bobo Sweetcakes is frosting a cake. He hears someone approaching him, and assumes it's Brad Adams.
Bobo Sweetcakes: If you're gonna go off about your gluten free fetish, you can just leave.
Craig Brooks: Uh, what?
Bobo looks up at Craig.
Bobo Sweetcakes: Oh, you're not the gluten free guy. You do like gluten, right?
Craig Brooks: I'll eat the hell out of some gluten. My wife says I have a problem.
Bobo Sweetcakes: Sounds like she's the problem.
Craig Brooks: Tell me about it. So anyway, there's this whole thing that happened last week with Chaz Anix interfering in your match. Got any thoughts on that?
Bobo Sweetcakes: Myself and Crest Silver were having an incredible bout. I very well could have won my first title in almost three years, and then Chaz Anix ruined it. He still seems salty after he lost the title, and I guess that's understandable. But understand this: sooner or later, that Xperience Championship is coming to me, not Chaz Anix.
Bobo notices Craig staring at the cake.
Craig Brooks: Are you gonna eat that?
Bobo Sweetcakes: This whole cake?
Craig Brooks: Yeah.
Bobo Sweetcakes: Nah, you can have it.
Bobo hands Craig the entire cake. Craig salivates, before grabbing a chunk of the cake and shoving it into his mouth. Cameras return to ringside.

"Invincible" by Amaranthe hits, the fast pounding drums blaring loudly from the speakers as the lights dim completely. They come back to Android 18 standing at the entrance ramp, head down, the words 'The code awakens me' flash along the Alternatron behind her as she opens her eyes and brings her head up slowly. She walks stoically down the ramp, a smirk spreading over her face as she goes. She stops in the middle of the ramp, raising her hands to actually sign the words 'I am Invincible.'
Jen Brunelli: This is your Alternative Main Event set for one fall! Introducing first, accompanied to the ring by "Sister Inferior" Olya Oglovska, wrestling out of Cork, Ireland, weighing 135 pounds, ANDROID 18!
Before continuing on and leaping straight up onto the ring post, she signs ''I am Invincible' one more time, entering the ring and awaiting the match to start.
The lights in the arena all turn to red, with the fans in anticipation for whats about to come. After a few seconds of this, "Megitsune" by BABYMETAL takes over the sound system.
As soon as the song plays, the red lights pulse to the beat of the drums with a figure standing in smoke, wearing a robe and a kitsune mask. At the seven second mark of the song, the figure begins to slowly make their way down the ramp. At the fourteen second mark of the song, the figure disrobes and removes their kitsune mask, now walking to the ring at a quicker pace.
Jen Brunelli: Her opponent, wrestling out of Hiroshima, Japan, weighing 112 pounds, KATSUKO NAKAMOTO!
Katsuko slides into the ring and immediately starts brawling with Android 18.
vs.
A lot of striking between the two to start the match off. Android starts to turn the tides in her favor with a Drop Kick, and from there other notable moves of hers include Tiger feint kick, Sitout Powerbomb, High knee, Super Electric Strike (Striking spear), Lifting Double Underhook Facebuster, Non-stop Violence (Spinning headlock elbow drop), and Graceful Orbit (Lionsalt). Notable moves from Nakamoto include Sudden Stiff Clothesline, Dragon Suplex, Snap Fisherman Neckbreaker, Tiger Bomb, Brainbuster, Hātosutoppā (Kairi Hojo-style Diving Elbow Drop), and Megitsune Kick (Bakatare Sliding Kick). Katsuko would attempt a Crescent Moon (Running Curved Corner Yakuza Kick), but Olya climbs onto the apron and pulls Android out of harm's way, Katsukohanging her leg up on the top turnbuckle. Android pulls her out to deliver a Buster Swing (Inverted stomp facebreaker), earning victory.
Jen Brunelli: Here is your winner, ANDROID 18!
Lily Luna: An assist from Olya Oglovska gives Android 18 the win tonight.
Chris Pierce: The numbers game pays off for them, for now at least. Katsuko Nakamoto isn't gonna stop coming for them until she wins or is physically unable to.
Olya Oglovska joins her victorious girlfriend in the ring. The duo eject Katsuko from their ring and celebrate the victory together, even going as far as to having their first on screen kiss.
Lily Luna: The Alternative may be over, but the action is just getting started, stay tuned for AXW!
