Both competitors get a solid ovation in Syracuse, with Bobo being from Skaneateles, about a half hour drive west, and another ten or so minutes past Skaneateles brings you to Trent's hometown of Owasco. Bobo starts in control, delivering signature maneuvers such as a Running charging headbutt, Double Underhook Backbreaker, Swinging Full Nelson Slam, and his German Suplex + Dragon Suplex + Tiger Suplex combo, to name a few. Trent manages to take control with moves like Step-up Enzuigiri, Uranage Backbreaker, a Swinging Corner Clothesline followed by a Springboard Crossbody, and upon running off the ropes gets caught in Bobo's Leapfrog evasion into Sunset Flip. Bobo would run off the ropes and Trent looks to one up him and leapfrogs over him, but Trent seems to tweak his knee upon landing, with referee Gus Ramos checking on him. SDS enters the ring, forces Bobo to turn around, and low blows him. SDS exits the ring as Bobo falls to his knees, allowing Trent to stop faking and come in with the Trentsetter (Shining Wizard to the Back of the head) for the victory.
Winner: Trent Mathews (pin)
Backstage, Ben Eatr is going at it verbally with Cloud. Ben is irate that Cloud cost him his match last week, with Cloud's rebuttal that he didn't intend to make him lose, he was just caught up in the moment and wanted to get his hands on Damien Steele after he moonsaulted onto him. Eatr states that at Rise, he fully intends on making Cloud lose, and after which, Cloud won;t have to worry about getting caught up in such moments ever again.

Rochelle enters her first match since joining what is now being referred to as the Awesomeness Army, going up against a frustrated Lizzy Knoxxx. Knoxxx, wanting to get out her rut, doesn't hold back in this one coming right out of the gate with what has to be the hardest Knife-Edge Chops ever recorded, turning Rochelle's chest a bright red as soon as the match begins. Knoxxx stays on offense with maneuvers like the Running Crossbody, Flapjack, Arm-Trap Neckbreaker, F.Y.L. (Fuck Your Life) [Hip Toss followed by a Cartwheel followed by a low-angle Front Dropkick], Northern Lights Suplex, and a big Missile Dropkick. Rochelle gets in control after being cornered and avoiding an oncoming Knoxxx, and whips her to the opposite corner. Rochelle's offense then sees a Corner Handspring Back Elbow Smash, Running One-handed Bulldog, repeated Scoop Slams, and a Diving Crossbody. Rochelle would look to the skies once more, only for Knoxxx to pull her off the top rope and get her cornered once more. Knoxxx would strike her before trying to set up a Dizzy Lizzy [Corner Tornado DDT], only for Rochelle to successfully roll her up in a small package.
Winner: Rochelle (pin)
Aftermath: Rochelle leaves a very frustrated Knoxxx behind.

In the ring, Justin Wyndham discusses the Awesomeness Army, stating that they are nothing but a group of cowards. Wyndham doesn't have much of a problem taking on two men by himself, he's up for a good challenge, but wants to do so face to faces, no sneak attacks. He calls them out, and not very surprisingly, gets attacked from behind by Chaz Anix and Crest Silver. The duo attack Wyndham. Anix looks to toss him out of the ring, until Wyndham turns the tables last second and throws Anix over the top rope. Wyndham's attention is brought to Silver, who simply drops down and rolls out of the ring. The Army leaves, stating they could continue beating Wyndham down some more, they just don't want to right now.

The AXW Tag Team Champions take on the larger S.O.B. in a Handicap Match (tag out rules). Aries starts off and is able to execute some good offense, such as a back suplex, buzzsaw kicks, snap powerslam, and Enter Gideon (Beautiful Disaster Kick). Chopper gets some hits in as well, mostly just that, hits and powerful strikes, but some actual wrestling moves too, like an Alabama Slam and a Running Backbreaker. When Malcolm M. Mitchell enters the match, he gets to personally experience more of Chopper's offense, such as a Samoan drop, German suplex, Reverse Chokeslam, Whip to corner followed by a strong Clothesline. Mitchell is able to tag back out to Aries upon avoiding a Diving splash. Aries gets the champs back in control with a leg sweep, Orton style backbreaker, stiff kicks to the sternum of kneeled opponent, and a Hart style elbow from second rope. Chopper gets back in control as he lifts Aries in a Fireman's Carry position. Aries tries to elbow himself free, each shot causing Chopper to back to the corner where Mitchell gets the blind tag. Chopper transitions to a Military Press position, goes to the ropes, looking to dump Aries out, where Aries is able to grab Chopper's head and force Chopper throat first into the top rope before falling to the floor. Chopper backs up, doubled over, clutching at his throat while Matt Baker checks on him. Baker's focus on Chopper allows a ringside Quentin Rage to throw Aries into the barricade. Meanwhile, Mitchell looks to take advantage with a Faceplant (Fame Asser), Chopper able to counter it into a powerbomb. Chopper picks Mitchell right back up to deliver a Break Yo Face (High Impact Elbow Smash) for the victory.
Winner: Chopper (pin)
Aftermath: Mitchell is on the wrong side of Fuck You Up (Russian Leg Sweep, Running middle turnbuckle leap Flying Forearm). S.O.B. are fired up, as they know they are about to become tag champs.

The Main Event sees Luke Mathews in the ring, as he moderates a contract signing between AXW Champion Damien Steele and Challenger TO'A, who will do battle in the Main Event of Rise in a No Disqualification Match. Neither man seems to interested in talking. TO'A signs first, then Steele, who throws the clipboard at TO'A when finished. TO'A pulls Steele right over the table to his side and the fight is on. Mathews knows that he will not be able to stop this on his own (especially after his encounters with TO'A in 2015), and exits the ring. The two brawl for a while, until Steele throws a thumb to the eye. Steele is able to get TO'A to his knees and nails him with an Avada Kedavra. TO'A ends up in the corner where Steele sets him on the top rope. Steele makes sure the table is in position as he is probably going to attempt a Steele Dragon (Leaping Avalanche Frankensteiner), but upon bringing his attention back to TO'A, TO'A wraps both hands around Steele's neck and lifts him onto the top rope with him. The two brawl in a very precarious position, with Steele teetering many times but manages to hang on. Steele starts to hook TO'A for a Superplex, but TO'A suddenly is able to lift Steele onto his shoulder, and drives Steele head first through the table with an Island Driver (over the shoulder reverse piledriver)! The show closes with TO'A raising the AXW Championship high.
