Inglewood, California
Episode LXXIII
Pyro blasts from the stage and Alternatron and after that, we get right to the action.
The epic sounds of To Valhalla! by Antti Martikainen kicks in, as the arena is bathed in a low purple hue, almost black it. The large frame of the mighty German Magnus Von Braun steps out from the back, head down, as he slowly raises his glare with a cold as death stare of contempt.
Salvatore Pellegrino: This opening contest is scheduled for one fall, and is a Semi-Final Match in the AXW Xperience Championship Tournament! Introducing first, wrestling out of Munich, Germany, weighing 285 pounds, MAGNUS VON BRAUN!
He marches to the ring, picking up a little speed near the ring and leaping up onto the apron. Stepping into the ring, the man looks cold, calculating and ready to maim.
The lights dim and Run You by The Qemists starts. When the line 'Strength of 50,000 soldiers' plays. The come back up to reveal 'The One Woman Army' F.M. Young standing in the 'Wonder Woman' pose, arms crossed over her chest, her head down chin resting between her fists. She stands still like this for a moment, before lifting her head and taking an archers pose. She breaks pose and struts down the walk way, popping her neck. She stops again in the middle of the ramp and thumps her chest with her fists rapidly, shouting 'Strength of 50,000 soldiers!'
Salvatore Pellegrino: His opponent, wrestling out of Phoenix, Arizona, weighing 206 pounds, "The One Woman Army" F.M. YOUNG!
She starts moving again, slapping hands with fans along the way. She gets to the ring and and leaps up the steps, leaping up to the top turn buckle where she takes up the archers pose again as the crowd cheers. She jumps down into the ring and goes to the opposite turn buckle, doing the Wonder Woman pose, before leaping down and finding a ring rope to lean against.

AXW Xperience Championship Tournament
Semi-Finals
Von Braun has a lot of the control in this one. Some of his notable moves include a Tilt-a-whirl backbreaker, Rolling Firemen’s Carry Slam, Cradle Implant DDT, Fireman's carry double knee gutbuster, Snap Single Underhook Suplex, High Angle Backsuplex, and Running single leg dropkick. Young stands her ground against the larger adversary, able to connect with a Cutter, Superchick (The Shiranui), and Negasonic Warhead (Starship Pain). The match ends up moving to the outside of the ring, where Von Braun is back in control. He gets Young against the corner barricade, and comes barreling in at her, only for Young to just get out of the way and Von Braun crashes through the barricade! Young gets back into the ring for some separation. Von Braun is able to get himself back into the ring right before the count of twenty. Young is quick to take advantage of the downed mammoth and delivers a Battery Powered Bombshell (Shooting Star Senton).
Salvatore Pellegrino: Here is your winner, F.M. YOUNG!
Commentary at first is stunned that F.M. Young was able to overcome the dominant Magnus Von Braun, but Mike Vincent recalls her battles against Fenryr Wulfsson in BWF. Young now finds herself in the AXW Xperience Championship Match at Winterslam.

Backstage, Bobo Sweetcakes is baking. He has several ovens set up, maximizing the amount he can bake at one time. Gavin Carpenter, who has medical tape wrapped over his clothes from flying through a table last week, states that this is a massive fire hazard, and there is to be no cooking backstage. Bobo is highly offended, stating that he is not cooking, he is baking. Gavin requests to see Bobo's ID, to make sure he is of the age to purchase marijuana in the state of California. Bobo asks the same from Gavin, because Bobo is clearly talking about baked goods, pastries, donuts, and much more. Gavin instructs Bobo he is to not be "baking" backstage, whether it be marijuana, pastries, or otherwise. Any pastry baking is to be done in a proper kitchen with a fire alarm and fire extinguishers, with a one oven limit. Several burly men enter the scene to remove the ovens. Bobo exclaims that his precious work is still in the ovens as we return back to ringside.

the opening sirens of “Ready for this” by All Good Things blares over the sound system. The lights dim for a second and come up to reveal the back of Mighty Jo Young on the stage. She takes a few backward steps down the ramp before turning around and affecting an Olympian pose with a stern face. There's a beat before she breaks into a smile and continues preening her way down the ramp, shaking hands with fans.
Salvatore Pellegrino: The following contest is scheduled for one fall, introducing first, wrestling out of Phoenix, Arizona, weighing 180 pounds, MIGHTY JO YOUNG!
Mighty Jo beasts her fists against her chest and pulls herself up to the ring apron with one hefty yank. She grins at the crowd and raises her arms, punching the sky! Jo takes a moment to hop from foot to foot before ducking under the ring ropes and striding confidently to the middle of the ring where she poses one more time for the fans, who give her a huge pop!
The opening to "Ready to Go" by Panic! at the Disco takes over the sound system as colorful lights swirl and pan across the arena. Upon the whole band entering the song, out struts a blonde haired woman. She stops right before the ramp, places a hand on her hip, and blows a kiss into the camera. She makes her way down the ramp.
Salvatore Pellegrino: Her opponent, wrestling out of Riviera Beach, Florida, weighing 127 pounds, MEGAN MITCHELL!
Megan high fives some of the ring side fans and walks around to the camera side ring apron. She climbs onto the apron and again blows a kiss to the camera. She enters the ring and climbs onto a second turnbuckle on the opposite side of the ring. She whips her hair back and runs her hands through her hair, before outstretching her arms. She steps off the turnbuckle and prepares to face her opponent.

Mighty Jo Young is looking to redeem herself after her debut loss, which also knocked her right out of the Xperience Championship Tournament, and it shows in this match. Young's maneuvers include some echoing Shin Kicks, German Suplex, Elbow Strikes, and Wheelbarrow Driver. Upon whipping Mitchell to the ropes is when Mitchell takes control, where she springboards off the middle rope to deliver a wicked Springboard Tornado DDT. Mitchell spends a little bit of time in control, focusing on the legs of Young, and successfully locks in the Four Leaf Clover (Corey Graves' Lucky 13)! Young is able to make it to the bottom rope to break the hold, and ends up back in control, delivering a Spinning Heel Kick, Side walk Slam, Young Gun (AA Spine Buster), Caught up (Spear), and Mighty Slam (Batista Bomb) to finish the match off.
Salvatore Pellegrino: Here is your winner, MIGHTY JO YOUNG!
Commentary discusses how impressive the Young siblings are, and look forward to seeing more from Mighty Jo.
Returning from commercials, Cloud is bummed out about losing his AXW Light Heavyweight Championship. How was he supposed to be prepared to compete in the Main Event on such short notice? How was he able to prepare for Kaz Hashimoto with no notice? He doesn't even work here! Could Cloud have defeated him though, if it weren't for the other members of Real Japan? Man, what a drag!

"Harder to Breathe" starts up as Judas Carter walks out in his white coat with "Project Son" on the back, he walks slowly to the ring not slapping hands but just letting the fans touch him
Salvatore Pellegrino: The following contest is scheduled for one fall, introducing first, wrestling out of Brooklyn, New York, weighing 216 pounds, "The Project Son" JUDAS CARTER!
he gets to the ring and walks up the steps, wipes his feet on the apron and gets into the ring and puts his arms out
"Smells Like Teen Spirit" plays and when the whole band enters, Jesus Lorenzo makes his out from the back.
Salvatore Pellegrino: His opponent, wrestling out of Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, weighing 229 pounds, JESUS LORENZO!
He walks a brisk pace to the ring, slides in and climbs the turnbuckle, using his left hand to smack his elbow, referencing his WWJD finisher.
vs.
A match two thousand years in the making, Jesus takes on Judas. Jesus sees a lot of control, delivering a Uranage, Yakuza Kick, Palm Strikes, Roundhouse Kick, Powerbomb, and Praise Jesus (Hand on Forehead + Snap STO). Judas has some control, notable moves including a Slingshot Spear, Running Knee Strike, and Glitz and Glamour (Spinning Side Slam). Jesus goes for a WWJD (Rolling Elbow), but Judas catches his arm and swiftly sets up and delivers the Project Brooklyn (Rolling Cutter) for the victory.
Salvatore Pellegrino: Here is your winner, JUDAS CARTER!
All Jesus vs. Judas references aside, commentary praises Judas and note that despite not having all the control, he has the ability to strike when it matters most.

Backstage, in Sam De Santa's office, AXW Women's Champion Ambiance, Zoey Mathews-Mitchell, and the General Manager herself are all present. Sam states that since both seem to be okay with it, their match at Winterslam for the AXW Women's Championship will be contested in a Street Fight. Both are present to sign the contract to make it official. Zoey signs it without hesitation, and cracks her knuckles afterward, anticipating the contest. Ambiance signs it, and we now have a Street Fight set for Winterslam. SDS wishes them good luck, to which Ambiance replies, "Yeah, she'll need it." before confidently walking away.
The Tron lights up with an old-school movie intro countdown "3...2...1... OH YEAH!" as “Hell Yeah” by Rev Theory kicks in. The lights are dim and the spotlights search the arena.
Simon York walks out to the center of the stage alone and stands there looking around with his hands on his hips. He brings his hands to his face, licks each of his thumbs two times, and then double thumb points to his chest three times. He then immediately goes into a slow double arm flex, but when he gets to the full flex, he snaps his hands up into a spin and forms his trademark hand gesture [similar to the Version 1.0]. He raises them slowly over his head and then brings them together, before snaping them down [Diamond Cutter Style] as the pyros begin popping off like rapid fire gun blasts from either side of the stage, before ending in one really loud final bang center stage behind him.
Salvatore Pellegrino: The following contest is scheduled for one fall, and is a Semi-Final Match in the AXW Xperience Championship Tournament! Introducing first, wrestling out of Cameron, North Carolina, weighing 230 pounds, SIMON YORK!
York always smiles after this because he loves his intro. He begins to walk to the ring, up the stairs, and across the apron, spinning around on it, leaning back into the ropes, both arms wrapped over the top ropes as he lightly bounces, rocking on them. He continues after a moment, climbing the outside turnbuckle, stepping one foot up to the top ropes, cupping his right hand over his eyes, looking out over the fans, before hand-springing off the top ropes, landing on his feet in the ring, stretching out on the top ropes, waiting for the match to start.
“S-P-I-R-I-T
Spirit!! Let’s hear it!!
S-P-I-R-I-T
Spirit!! Let’s hear it!!”
Blue strobe lights roams around the arena like a trance as the opening tune of "Happy Song” by Bring Me The Horizon blares out of the PA system.
“LET’S GO!”
Out comes Janet Hurricane, her hoodie veil blinding her face. As the tempo gets faster and faster, we see her jumping up and down, still cannot see her face. Once we hear the lyrics, Janet reveals her face to the crowd and screams out to the fans. She then starts making her way down to the ring, bopping her head to the music and in her own zone, not giving a damn about the fans’ reaction.
Salvatore Pellegrino: His opponent, wrestling out of Charlotte, North Carolina, weighing 120 pounds, "The Rated R Rebel" JANET HURRICANE!
Once she enters the ring, she takes off her hoodie and once again screams out to the crowd, saying, “I’M RATED R, BITCH!"
vs.
AXW Xperience Championship Tournament
Semi-Finals
The North Carolinians have a competitive back and forth match-up. York delivers some of his signature combos, such as his Snap STO back breaker, swing out complete shot, Koji Clutch combo, Flurry of Palm strikes, giant ear clap, spinning backfist + Exploder combo, the repeating Reverse thrust kick + euro uppercut combo, Suicide Dropkick + skin the cat, + Rebound tope con giro, Triple Jump Moonsault, and Dragon Fist (Rebound Tornado Flying Superman Punch). Hurricane's offense includes a Reverse DDT, Sharpshooter, STF, Beautiful Disaster, Tropical Storm (Forward Russian Legsweep), DIE MOTHER F*CKER DIE(Rope hung Boston crab), and Last Breath of Air (Diving elbow drop). A Simonizer (Styles Clash) is countered into a Frankensteiner, and the Storm of the Century (Fisherman Suplex, without letting go of her opponent. Then she gets up, still having her opponent on a fisherman position before hitting the Fisherman Brainbuster) is what sees victory for the former Women's Champion.
Salvatore Pellegrino: Here is your winner, JANET HURRICANE!
Commentary praises the match, and are really looking forward to F.M. Young vs. Janet Hurricane at Winterslam, a very likely show stealer to determine the new AXW Xperience Champion.
-----
The new AXW Light Heavyweight Champion is backstage. He speaks in Japanese, so a lot of people aren't sure of what he's saying. Those who speak the language and are able to translate it on internet forums after the show note that Kaz states that he saw an opportunity and took it. He's one of the best Light Heavyweights in the world, and he now has something to show for it. The downside is that it's an American championship, and not a Japanese one. He says he'll defend the title "as he pleases" and will only be at Winterslam because he is contractually binded to be there.

"Hear Me Now" plays throughout the arena and Malcolm M. Mitchell makes his way to the stage. He takes a moment to taunt, throwing shadow punches, then runs his hands through his hair and flicks the water off his hands, keeping his arms spread with his head up, soaking in the reaction from the crowd.
Salvatore Pellegrino: The following Main Event contest is a Non-Title Triple Threat Tag Team Match scheduled for one fall, introducing team one, first, wrestling out of Riviera Beach, Florida, weighing 214 pounds, he is one half of the AXW Tag Team Champions, MALCOLM M. MITCHELL!
He walks down to the ring with confidence in every step. Malcolm enters the ring, climbs to the second turnbuckle, and does the same taunt he did on the stage.
The arena lights descend to darkness, as the tron displays an old black and white vision of an apocalyptic scene, as within a broken building we hear the crackle and zap of electricity, pulses of computers, as there, standing before the rubble is a figure in a denim jacket and tattered denim jeans. The figure turns slowly, and forms a smirk from under a pair of black Aviator shades.
"Not even God can save you.."
The crowd roars to "Not Even God" by Digital Summer, as some are booing, some cheering, an ice blue hue filling the ramp and entrance, a thin mist that under a spotlight has an eerie glow for one Duncan Aries! Aries has his back to us, looking down, before spinning around, arms crossed and head cocked in a smirk
Salvatore Pellegrino: His partner, wrestling out of San Diego, California, weighing 238 pounds, he is one half of the AXW Tag Team Champions, AXW Hall of Famer, "The Wild Card" DUNCAN ARIES!
Aries strides to the ring, paying no mind before tossing his shades into the crowd and leaping onto the apron. Entering the ring, Aries spins around, basking in the glow of the reaction, positive or negative, tossing off his jacket, yelling out "Because I'm Duncan Aries, motherfuckers!" as "Not Even God" fades out.
The lights all go out and "Miseria Cantare" by AFI starts as a single spotlight shines on the entrance as Damien Steele is standing in the entrance hair in front of his face as at the 45 second mark of the song. Damien flips his hair back and starts to walks out and stands at the entrance.
Salvatore Pellegrino: Introducing team two, first, wrestli--
Damien has a microphone and cuts Sal off.
Damien Steele: Yeah, yeah, yeah, everyone knows who I am, pipe it! I see you two haven't killed each other yet, so I guess congrats on that. Now do I have a partner of my own, and I’ll bring him out here in a moment, but I have a few words to say first.
The crowd boos loudly and then start laughing as Duncan Aries act like his falling asleep and can even be overheard saying “You’re talking bores us to death.” Damien is obviously angered by that remark as he glares at Aries in the ring.
Damien Steele: You see there comes a point in one’s career where they had gone from being the guy on the grandest stage of them all to being without a place to release the anger that was building up inside him. Losing the AXW Championship because I wasn’t focused to be prepared for anything. To momentarily forget you have a target on your back at all times being a world champion, was the worst mistake I have ever made in my life. Now Danny, you may have come and attacked me when I had just went to war with the Samoan Executioner, and if you ever been in the ring with TO’A, you know what I mean when I say I went to war. Caught me a little winded and knew that was going to be your best chance of ever standing toe to toe with me. I don’t fault you one bit. In fact Danny, had I been in your shoes I would have done the same exact thing. However come Winterslam, I will make sure to do everything I can to make sure you do not make it out of that ring still holding onto the the AXW World Championship.
Damien cracks a crooked looking grin like he knows something everyone else doesn’t. Steele motions to the curtain as....
The arena goes dark as the drum beats of “Counting Bodies like Sheep to the Rhythm of The War Drums” at the 30 Second mark of the song fog fills the entrance. At the 42 Second mark of the song red lights flash in the arena with the “OW!” that are shouted, every time they are shouted in the song those red nights flash. At the 1:10 mark the words start.
Don’t fret precious I’m here,
A red spotlight shines on the entrance come on as Deathstalker steps out with his executioners mask over his head not far behind him walks Vincent Delerious. Delerious is trash talking fans as Deathstalker comes to stand next to Damien.
The arena goes black as the song changes and is a loud guitar riff of “Nightmare” by Avenged Sevenfold begins to play as the three men walk towards the ring.
Damien hands the microphone to Vincent Delerious.
Vincent Delerious: The Most Dominating Tag Team of Loony Bin Wrestlers ever! I bring you... Vicious Nightmares!!!
They reach the ringside area and the duo enter the ring, ready to get the match started, Matt Baker doing his best to keep them backed up as we still await the final team.
The Vampyre of Time and Memory" starts as Danny comes out with his umbrella and a fur coat and a plague doctors mask on he starts walking to the ring while laughing at the fans
Salvatore Pellegrino: Introducing team three, first, wrestling out of Camden, Tennessee, weighing 220 pounds, he is the AXW Champion, "The Obsession" DANNY HALL!
he gets to the apron and jumps up to the second turnbuckle and takes off the mask and opens his umbrella then a sits on the top rope and waits for the match to start
“Fire It Up” by Black Label Society kicks in, and "Juggernaut" Josh Hominick walks out from the back, wearing his black and white, double strapped singlet tights with his trademark white skull with Devil Horns pictured on the front. He’s also wearing a black motorcycle vest, with the same emblem on the back. With a roll of black tape, he finishes his taping of his wrists right there on the ramp, before tossing the roll into the crowd. He walks straight to the ring, never taking his eyes off of it.
Salvatore Pellegrino: His partner, representing Rising Sun Pro Wrestling, wrestling out of Haddon Township, New Jersey by way of Hamilton, Ontario, Canada, weighing 255 pounds, he is the "Juggernaut" HOMINICK!
Pulling himself up onto the apron, he wipes his boots on the apron, and enters the ring, looking around all four sides of the ring at the crowd, before crouching in his corner, working his wrists.
Commentary discusses how they thought HOMINICK was injured, but his surprise appearance insinuates that he's good to go!
vs. vs.
Non-Title
Danny Hall and HOMINICK agree that the AXW Champion can start the match. Duncan Aries emphatically shows he is starting as he throws his own partner out of the ring. Damien Steele appears to be starting but tags in his monstrous partner after the bell rings. Deathstalker dominates his two opponents during the early portions of the match, throwing Hall and Aries around with moves like a Northern Lights Suplex, T Bone Suplex, Tossing Belly to Belly Suplex, Big Boot, Roaring Elbow, to name a few. Aries ends up rolling out of the ring, grabs a chair, and hammers away for a few moments on Deathstalker until it appears he's gonna be out for a bit. Hall and Aries go back and forth for a bit, until HOMINICK is tagged in. HOMINICK and Aries slug it out. Hominick starts to take full control until he gets taken out by Deathstalker. Deathstalker drills Aries with a Death Before Dishonor (Cradle Hammerlock DDT). Steele now wants in and gets the tag. Steele immediately goes to pin Aries, wanting all the glory. The pin is broken up by Mitchell, frustrated he's had to remain on the outside. Mitchell is able to deliver a Faceplant (Fame Asser) to Steele, then drags Aries to his corner, so he can officially tag himself in. Mitchell climbs up to the top rope, perhaps to hit Death From Above (Red Arrow), but gets shoved off by Shinsuke Yakamoto. Mitchell begins the 9-foot descend to the floor and falls right into a Very Boston Uppercut from Cameron Kauffman! Mitchell is out cold as RSPW's KnockOut Kings have made a clear message that they are coming for the AXW Tag Team Championship. Meanwhile, Danny Hall has been tagged in and drives a stirring Steele to the mat with The Trendsetter (Cradle back-to-belly Piledriver), HOMINICK able to pull Deathstalker off the apron to take him out for the time being, giving team Hall and HOMINICK the victory.
Salvatore Pellegrino: Here are your winners, HOMINICK and DANNY HALL!
Commentary discusses how it'd be a miracle for a match like this to not get chaotic, but how could anyone prepare for the debut of the Deathstalker, the surprising in-ring return of HOMINICK to a company he's not employed to, or the unexpected interference from the KnockOut Kings?
Post-match, Hall and HOMINICK celebrate their win briefly before exiting, Delerious isn't happy about his team losing their first match, and neither are Deathstalker and Steele, Mitchell lays lifeless on the floor, and Aries, also outside, looks down disappointed and upset at his partner, and drops Mitchell's title on his lifeless body, while Aries drags his title and himself out of the arena.
TWO WEEKS: WINTERSLAM! Matches include Damien Steele (c) vs. Danny Hall, Ambiance (c) vs. Zoey Mathews-Mitchell in a Street Fight, Kaz Hashimoto (c) vs. Cloud, F.M. Young vs. Janet Hurricane for the vacant Xperience Championship, and as we learn going off the air, Duncan Aries & Malcolm M. Mitchell (c) vs. The KnockOut Kings, plus more TBA matches!
