I'm making this thread in case anyone wants to give some feedback or comment on the Match Statistics I just posted.
axw.boards.net/thread/351/axw-match-statistics
I might spiff it up to make it look more appealing, but I spent the last couple of days working on it for the fun of it.
I do want to state that there are probably some errors somewhere, there's (if my calculations are correct) 261 total characters so there's a chance I probably missed a win or loss or something somewhere.
I did this a couple years ago, I think AXW was still on the EWS forum at the time, so I wanted to do it again and see where everyone is at.
Everything is taken solely from shows posted on this forum. I didn't count any EWS pay-per-views pretty much because I didn't want to go through the old sites and try to dig out the couple of AXW matches that happened on them. Those Tapatalk sites are garbage to navigate.
There's some names on there you might not remember or realize competed in AXW, there's quite a few of them who were under contract but only had limited matches, then there's events like The Alternative Ep. 17, Supershows VII and VIII, and AXW vs. BWF: Domination which featured cross-promotion.
I debated if I wanted to use RISE 2015 or not since AXW played such a small part in it, but because it is technically an AXW ppv, I included it, so there's a lot of names from that that have been included which is why Mary Borden and Olivia Page already have a loss despite not competing in AXW otherwise. It's also where 2 of Zoey's losses come in.
It was fun to go through and skim some old shows, especially the real early ones. I don't know how many people remember the original 2013 roster, but it included people like The Notch, Jushin Kimura, Jonathan Fhenix, Clifford Bradley, Kendra Rayne, Janet Hurricane, Billy Way, Hailey Spunk (who would change her surname to Harris) and the long lost third member of Chicks & America: Hoffman LeGrand. Some people might have been in AXW longer than you remember.
I also included all the non-contracted jobbers, that's all the people who are like 0-5+. I didn't realize I used Megan Mitchell (0-15) so much.
Also, last time I did this, which was like 5 years ago, I realized I am very much a 50/50 booker, and it really comes to life when you see a lot of people have nearly matching wins and losses.
Of course, things like disqualifications come in to play, so if someone has a record that's not super great, it could also be because they got disqualified or something of that nature.
I do want to state that while Acer Stone (5-20-2) was under AXW contract and not explicitly a jobber, Daryl sent him to me to essentially be a jobber, which is why his record is the way it is.
Some records that personally surprised me:
Bobo Sweetcakes (15-18) - Mostly a case of I didn't realize how many matches some of these people have really been in, I thought maybe he would have had a few more wins than losses, but he did have a couple of losing streak stories, so it does make sense in the end.
Bruiser Lazzou and Jack Adams (23-14-1) - I just find it interesting they both got this specific record. Other than that, I'm not surprised this is Bruiser's record, but a bit more surprised that it's Jack's as I feel he's one of several characters I dropped the ball with, though the Manliness Challenge when he first came in helped a bit.
Damien Steele (30-31) - When I did this 5 or so years ago, his record was similar but with smaller numbers, pretty much even with wins and losses. I didn't realize that all this time later I would continue to be straight 50/50 with him and would have figured his win margin would have been greater.
Danny Hall (29-20-2) - Mostly because I saw the character in BWF, who was jobbed out every week, however I was not expecting his win margin to be as great as it is here, and I didn't realize he competed in over 50 matches. I was really disappointed that he didn't end up breaking 30 wins.
Hailey Harris (24-23) - I was not expecting her to have lost so many matches. Majority of the time I book 50/50 and don't realize it, and this is a strong visual aid of that.
Inferno (11-11) and Jason (11-9) - I thought they would have had more wins, but they didn't spend a ton of time here and I think Starkz became inactive towards the end of their original run.
Janet Hurricane (37-26) - I thought she would have lost fewer matches than she did. I wasn't expecting her to have had the most total wins and total matches (but then again, I wasn't even prepared for those stats coming in so I wasn't expecting anyone).
Jimmy Reynolds (22-11) - I counted The Nintendudes' records as being The Push's since they unmasked to reveal they were The Push at Anarchy 2016, so in AXW canon, The Nintendudes were The Push the entire time. That said, I didn't realize Jimmy kicked so much ass. He had a couple winning singles matches that helped him out.
Katsuko Nakamoto (10-14) - I have a problem on pulling the trigger on my own characters. I don't want to be perceived as biased if I were to give one of my own a strong push, so I tend to hold back and use them to put others over. Such is the case for Katsuko, I thought I would have booked her better than I did and have more wins than losses.
Malcolm M. Mitchell (17-28) - Mostly a case of "wow he had more matches than I realized" - I know I jobbed him out a lot after the Takeover and I was fully aware of it at the time, I just didn't really know what to do with him, so the losses don't surprise me, again I just didn't realize how many matches he's had so I wasn't expecting that many. On the flip side, he did a lot better in the win column than I thought he would.
Megan Mitchell (0-15) - I just didn't realize I used her so often.
Olya Oglovska (31-26) - I didn't realize how prominent she really was and was not expecting her to be as prolific as she was. If I'm honest, there's several other characters I associate with AXW over her, but here she is with the fifth most wins and the fourth most matches (two more matches than Duncan Aries who is essentially the face of AXW). She was at one point the longest reigning Women's Champion, so I suppose it shouldn't have come as a big surprise.
Sean Foster (2-7) - I know his stay in AXW wasn't long, but I still thought he had more wins than that.
Trent Mathews (15-28) - Again, I tend to use my characters to put others over, but I didn't know Trent was gonna be worse than Malcolm M. Mitchell. I was not prepared for 28 losses for Trent, but since he has spent most of the time as a heel, I believe a good chunk of those losses might be DQ.
Zoey Mathews-Mitchell (5-17) - A little surprising and a little not, like I said 2 of those losses were from RISE 2015 so those 2 are out of my control, but I thought maybe she'd have a couple more wins.
Edit: Oh, and one last thing I remembered - F.M. Young (4-1) is technically undefeated as an AXW roster member, her one loss comes from AXW vs. BWF Domination when she was on the BWF roster.
