Tampa Bay Times Forum
Tampa, Florida
Episode III
Pyro blasts from the stage as cameras pan across the crowd.
Mike Vincent: Ladies and gentlemen welcome to the third installment of AXW!
Benji Mathews: The second of which on tv.
Mike Vincent: That's right, Ben. If you missed last week's episode or last month's internet stream The Debut, you can watch them on AXW.com, as we archive all the episodes.
Benji Mathews: I don't see how you could miss an episode, I mean, what else are you gonna do on a Saturday night?
Mike Vincent: We come to you live from Tampa, Florida, let's kick off the show with the owner and founder of AXW, Ben's older brother Luke.
"This Fire Burns" hits as Luke Mathews makes his way from the back.
Salvatore Pellegrino: Ladies and gentlemen, please welcome the Owner of AXW, LUUUUUUUKE MATHEEEEEEEEEWWSS!
Luke Mathews enters the ring, receiving a microphone.
Luke Mathews: Truth be told, I've had a vision to start my own promotion for a while now, well before the spontaneous combustion of Turbo Charged Wrestling. When TCW folded, I knew that was the opportunity. I created this, and much to my surprise, it caught on quickly. And with successful promotions, comes pay-per-views. The first AXW pay-per-view will be on July 27th and it's called Rise. I named it that because July 27th will be the rise of our first crowned AXW Champion, the rise of our first crowned Women's Champion, and the rise of our first crowned Tag Team Champions, and not to mention the rise of AXW itself. The AXW Championship Match will be the Main Event, and will be a fatal four way. The Women's Championship Match will be a normal one on one match, and the Tag Team Championship Match will be a triple threat between Chicks and America, Heroes of Today, and Ground N' Pound.
The beautiful sounds of Ludwig van Beethoven’s Ode to Joy plays on the arena sound system.
Mike Vincent: Some big news from Luke Mathews, interrupted by C.K.
Benji Mathews: His name is Cameron Kennedy Rockefeller, you integrity-less monkey.
Mike Vincent: Well now we have to wait a minute before he even gets out here.
Benji Mathews: It's only fifty-two seconds you big whine baby. Shut up and enjoy the music, classical is the best genre of music.
Mike Vincent: Says the guy who's covered in tattoos and wears shirts of metal bands.
Benji Mathews: Metal is a close second.
After the fifty-two second mark, an always well-dressed Cameron Kennedy Rockefeller makes his way to the ring, with his United States of Integrity Championship.
Cameron Kennedy Rockefeller: Please excuse me for interrupting, Mr. Mathews. With all due respect, I still think that this whole tournament is foolish. I mean, I'll win regardless, but it's a waste of my time. Need I remind you that I've now held this title for 102 days, in now two different promotions? One of them of course being the superior AXW. So, at Rise, instead of having the Main Event be a match we all know I will win, how about we have the Main Event be a ceremony, officially unifying the AXW Championship with the prestigious United States of Integrity Championship, declaring me the Undisputed Integrity Champion of the World!
Luke Mathews: First of all, Cameron, you're not excused. Second of all, "with all due respect", no.
Cameron Kennedy Rockefeller: What do you mean "no"?
Luke Mathews: No. As in, your little fairy tale isn't happening. The whole point of this tournament is to give everybody on the roster a chance to EARN the AXW Championship. I'm not gonna just hand it to you because you have some horribly renamed independent title.
Cameron Kennedy Rockefeller: I used to think you had integrity, but now I see what's going on. You're jealous. You see, you had a chance to win this title back in Eternity Wrestling, but you blew it.
Luke Mathews: You see Cameron, there's this... place. It's called obscurity. That's where your argument comes from, and where you're about to go if you don't get the hell out of my ring. You're wasting my time, I have a show to run, and in a few seconds Duncan Aries will probably come out of nowhere and try to kick your head in a window, and I need to get this first match started, so leave.
Cameron shakes his head disdainfully at Luke before exiting the ring. The base hits hard from the beat as 'We Own It' Blares out the pa system. Out from the back, Nick Magnum walks out wearing his long black trench coat.
Salvatore Pellegrino: This opening contest set for one fall, is a First Round Match in the AXW Championship Tournament! Introducing first, from London, England, weighing 184 pounds, NIIIIIIIIIIIICK MAAAGNUUUUUUMMM!
He climbs into the ring and taunts the crowd before removing his ring jacket and poses to the crowd once more before getting ready for the match at hand.
Radioactive by Imagine Dragons plays as Ryan Starr comes out from behind the curtain, Sierra following him. He stands and looks out into the crowd.
Salvatore Pellegrino: And his opponent, being accompanied to the ring by his sister Sierra, weighing in at 195 pounds, Tampa's own RYYAAAAAAAAAAN STAAAAAAAAARRRR!
He then runs down the ramp, hitting hands with the fans and slides into the ring. Then he goes up onto the ropes and bounces on them, trying to get the fans all hyped up for the match. He then jumps in the ring a little to get warped up to face his opponent.
Mike Vincent: As we get ready to start this match, Luke Mathews has decided to join us at commentary.
Luke Mathews: Thought maybe I'd stay out here for a bit to watch these guys show why I hired them first hand.
vs.
AXW CHAMPIONSHIP TOURNAMENT - ROUND 1
The two did a quick circle before locking up. The young Nick Magnum would take control with a headlock, but the more experienced Ryan Starr would counter into a back suplex, bridging with a pin for a short two count. They would lock up once more, Starr taking full control with a headlock takedown, following it up with a beautiful dropkick.
Mike Vincent: So, why did you sign these guys, Luke?
Luke Mathews: Nick Magnum is a talented young athlete, just under twenty years old, and has already held a couple championships in indy promotions. Ryan Starr, and his sister Sierra, were definitely two hot free agents who are experienced and have been apart of higher up companies, most notably CCW.
Back in the ring, Ryan has kept Nick grounded. Ryan has Nick in a reverse chin lock, which Nick manages to escape. Nick would irish whip Ryan to the ropes, and when Ryan got to them, he held on. Nick runs at him, and recevies a boot to the mush, which propels Ryan to backflip over the rope and land on the apron. Ryan follows that up with a springboard dropkick, flying halfway across the ring before nailing Nick, getting another two count.
Benji Mathews: Luke, let me ask you something.
Luke Mathews: What, Benj?
Benji Mathews: What in the hell did I do to you that made you hire this assclown? (referring to Mike Vincent)
Luke Mathews: Well, seeing as you're my younger brother, it's my obligation to make you as miserable as possible.
Ryan has Nick hoisted up, before planting him with a brainbuster. Ryan follows it up by sprinting off the ropes, hitting a shining enzuigiri. Ryan locks in his A Starr to Remember, in which Nick ultimately taps. "Radioactive" replays.
Salvatore Pellegrino: The winner of this match, Ryan Starr!
Mike Vincent: Well, Luke, Nick Magnum never got out of the starting gate.
Luke Mathews: Hey, it happens. Wrestling someone like Ryan Starr is no cakewalk.
Ryan and Sierra celebrate, while Luke begins to make his way to the back, nodding at them in approval.
*****COMMERCIALS*****
We return to Caitlin Shay.
Caitlin Shay: I'm standing by with Duncan Aries, Duncan, do you have any thoughts to what Cameron Kennedy Rockefeller said moments ago?
Duncan Aries: C.K. is completely delusional, I know it, you know it, everyone knows it. Just because he has a title from another promotion doesn't mean he deserves to be AXW Champion. If anyone deserves to be AXW Champion, it's me. I have been screwed out of championships so many times. But what sets me apart from C.K., is I'm not gonna demand to be handed the title, I'm going to earn it by beating everyone in this tournament. I'm not going to take shortcuts either, I don't need brass knuckles to beat someone.
Caitlin Shay: Can you explain why you assaulted Cameron in the parking lot last week?
Duncan Aries: I was just giving him a taste of what may happen if we cross paths in this tournament. He has been pissing me off for this past year, and I have this anger that I can only take out on him.
The crowd is electric. It's almost a sure thing that they're as loud as can be for this show, and for good reason. After a few seconds of absolute silence besides that, we hear "Ode to Joy" by Ludwig von Beethoven. The crowd immediately goes from excitement to a very loud chorus of boos. After a short while, Ms. Integrity is seen on the stage, wearing her business shirt/skirt combo and thigh high wrestling boots. She shakes her head at the fans, not understanding why they're booing her as she starts to make her way down the ramp.
Salvatore Pellegrino: The next match is scheduled for one fall and is a part of the AXW Women's Championsip Tournament! Introducing first, from Nashville, Tennessee.... MS. INTEGRITYYYYYYY!
Ms. Integrity climbs the stairs and gets into the ring, waving to the fans such as a princess would, which honestly only infuriates them and causes them to boo louder. She goes to her corner and waits as her music fades out and "Senses Capture" by Leaves' Eyes rings out as the lights dim and begin to glow a dark blue while reflections of stained glass windows baring an image of the cross appear on either side of the entrance ramp. After a few moments Tara comes out, holding a candle in one hand and a staff in the other with the hood of her white robes over her head as she is greeted with a heavenly white spotlight. Small flames resembling candles line the stage as Tara steps out and looks over the audience with a bright and vibrant smile as she absorbs the crowd's cheers.
Salvatore Pellegrino: And her opponent, from Toronto, Ontario, Canada.... TARAAAA SIIIIINDAAAAARRRIIIIIIIN!
She walks briskly down the ramp with energy, making sure to interact with the fans as she makes her way to the ring. She enters the ring and moves to the middle where she kneels on one knee, bows her head and mutters something to herself (typically biblical passages or small prayers) while motioning her free hand in the shape of a cross. She proceeds to blow out the candle, removes her hood and then she stands up and gives the audience and elegant bow before gracefully moving to her corner to ready for the match.
vs.
AXW WOMEN'S CHAMPIONSHIP TOURNAMENT - ROUND 1
Mike Vincent: Time for another match in this Women's tournament, Benji, and boy is it exciting.
Benji Mathews: Yeah, that...
The bell rings, and both women circle the ring. Tara runs at Integrity, who ducks and turns as Tara goes full speed at the ropes. Tara comes back and Integrity drops down and Tara hops over her. Tara comes back again and is hit with a clothesline from Ms. Integrity. She hurries to her feet so as not to lose any advantage, and she throws some kicks to Integrity, connecting to her ribs with kick after kick. Ms. Integrity is backed into a corner, and Tara backs up, charging at her, but Ms. Integrity moves out of the way, and Tara goes full speed into the turnbuckle, turning and she hits them with her back. Ms. Inegrity looks for a splash into the corner, but this time Tara moves, and Ms. Integrity hits the corner hard. Tara beckons Ms. Integrity to come at her, and she obliges, with Tara tripping her up and looking to go for a Boston Crab, but Ms. Integrity pulls her legs forward, and Tara does a full front flip in the air, hitting the canvas with her spine.
Mike Vincent: Such strength and power from Ms. Integrity!
Tara gets to her feet, and meets Ms. Integrity with a lockup. Tara pushes Ms. Integrity into the corner, but Ms. Integrity overpowers her and turns this around, forcing Tara into the corner. She backs up and charges with a running corner Avalanche Splash, and Tara falls to a seated position. Ms. Integrity backs up and runs again, with a running corner hip splash. She stays there for a second, doing a royal wave again, before stepping out into the center of the ring. She picks Tara up, who seems to have lost her focus for a second, and pulls her to the center of the ring by her hair. Tara turns around and slaps her though, and Ms. Integrity backs up, shocked by the slap. She hits Tara with a clothesline, and Tara hurries to her feet. She hits repeated clotheslines, three or four of them, and Tara finally ducks one, and Ms. Integrity hits a rebound Powerslam, going for a cover.

Kickout!
Mike Vincent: She got a kickout there! Did you see that?
Benji Mathews: Sitting right here, man.
Ms. Integrity gets up, looking confused as to why Tara didn't lose. She pulls Tara by the hair again to her feet, and slaps her a few times, shouting at her. Tara just laughs a little bit, and Ms. Integrity whips her into the ropes. Tara jumps up, springboarding off the second rope, and turns around quickly, putting her legs perfectly on Ms. Integrity's shoulders, and landing a perfectly executed Hurricanrana, and the crowd explodes for a second. Tara gets to her feet and sees that Ms. Integrity isn't hurrying to her feet for the first time this match, and drops to a knee to catch her breath for a second. She sees Ms. Integrity stir, so she gets to her feet and when Ms. Integrity is to her feet, Tara hits her with a Dropkick, which backs her into the ropes. She bounds off and hits Tara with a knee before Tara can get all the way to her feet. Ms. Integrity struts around the ring to some loud crowd boos, waving to the fans on one side, then walking to the other side and waving to those fans. She turns around and is met with an Enziguiri from Tara that hits her square in the jaw!
Mike Vincent: Wow. The impact from that kick I think was heard all the way up in the cheap seats!
Tara smiles as she gets to her feet, and walks over to the corner. She climbs to the top turnbuckle and looks around at the fans, a huge smile on her face. She stands straight and dives off the top turnbuckle with a beautiful Swan Dive, landing right on Ms. Integrity, and rolling right up to her feet. She turns and looks down at Ms. Integrity before picking her up. She looks around and finally hits her finishing move, The Sacrament! She looks for a pin victory here now!

"Senses Capture" hits the system and some of the fans cheer since Ms. Integrity lost, as she rolls out of the ring to avoid any more contact as Tara celebrates inside the ring, the biggest of smiles on her face.
Salvatore Pellegrino: Here is your winner, Tara Sindarin!
Luke Mathews' office, Luke on the phone.
Luke Mathews: Yeah, July 27th. Tallahassee. Bragg Memorial Stadium.
A knock is heard on his door.
Luke Mathews: Hey, I gotta let you go. See you there. (hangs up.) Come in.
In walk Ground N' Pound.
FRAY8TRAIN: Yo, Luke.
Luke Mathews: Whaddup?
FRAY8TRAIN: Me and Joe appreciate you givin' us a shot at the gold, but we'd rather have a shot at Fallen Angel.
Luke Mathews takes a second to think.
Luke Mathews: Okay. I'll do it. You guys are out of the tag team title match, and you'll get Fallen Angel instead. Happy?
FRAY8TRAIN: Almost. We want this sucka in a no disqualification match.
Luke Mathews: So you guys want to fight a psychopath who killed a bear in a No Disqualification Handicap Match?
FRAY8TRAIN: Das right.
Luke Mathews: .....Fine. But you guys are gonna have to sign some waivers 'cause I'm not gonna be held responsible for what may happen to you.
Ground N' Pound seem very pleased as we head to commercial.
*****COMMERCIALS*****
"Supremacy" by Muse fills the arena as the crowd turns to the stage where they wait the arrival of Dexter Zane. After about ten seconds he finally makes his appearance, walking out from behind the curtain with a slight grin on his face. He looks over the crowd for a second before turning his attention to the ring.
Salvatore Pellegrino: This contest set for one fall, is the final match of the First Round AXW Championship Tournament! Introducing first, from Manhattan, New York, weighing in at 195 pounds, DEXTEEEEEEEERRRRR ZAAAAAAAAAAAAANNE!
He slowly makes his way down the ramp, his arms held behind his back. He then makes his way to the steps where he puts his hands to his side, looking at the steps for a moment before climbing up them. He then walks to the middle of the ring apron where he gives the crowd one last look before entering the ring and preparing himself.
As "House of a Rising Drum" starts, Mateusz walks from the back quickly. He raises his fists and screams "Yeah!" to the audience. After this, he jumps one time and he walks to the ring.
Salvatore Pellegrino: And his opponent, from Poznan, Poland, weighing in at 245 pounds, "The Polish Hammer" MAAAATEUSZ BAAARTKOOWIAAAAK!
Mateusz rolls into the ring and walks to the corner. After that, he pounds his chest with his right hand and once more he rises his fists and screams. After a scream he stays in the ring.
vs.
AXW CHAMPIONSHIP TOURNAMENT - ROUND 1
Dexter Zane walks around the ring, staring ominously at Mateusz. Whenever Mateusz gets close to Dexter, Dexter quickly scoots out of the way. Not that he's afraid of the giant, but to try to get in his head. Dexter finally impresses the crowd as he manages to connect with a step-up enzuigiri, barely getting his foot to reach Mateusz's head. Mateusz doesn't fall but staggers back. Dexter goes off the ropes for momentum before hitting a front dropkick to the chest of Dexter, which causes him to lose balance. Mateusz falls to the mat, and Dexter takes him completely down with a shining wizard, but doesn't evene get a one count before Mateusz kicks out.
Mike Vincent: The Manhattan Mad Man really taking it to the Polish Hammer, but Mateusz not staying down.
Benji Mathews: Zane not intimidated by the size of Mateusz, who we found out last week after trying to scare Fallen Angel, that he has a pea-sized brain.
Dexter immediately tries to keep Mateusz from getting up, but he does. Mateusz simply pushes Dexter away. When Dexter tries to retaliate, he is planted with a flapjack. Mateusz locks in a camel clutch, but is too close to the ropes and Dexter grabs them. Mateusz remains in control. He would whip Zane into the corner, and try to follow it up with a spear, to which Dexter moved out of the way and Mateusz crashes shoulder first into the post. Dexter wastes no time and begins attacking Bartkowiak in the corner, the referee having to pull Zane out.
Mike Vincent: Dexter needs to be careful.
Benji Mathews: The man's smart, he knew that the referee wouldn't disqualify him.
Dexter pulls Mateusz out of the corner, before delivering some vicious Garvin Stomps. He turns the focus of the stomps more to the arms, and tries to lock in Bane of Zane, but Mateusz fights out of it. Again, Dexter tries to keep Mateusz down, but Mateusz gets up, lifts Dexter up, and tosses him back down with a spinebuster. Mateusz would lift Dexter back into the air, this time hitting a Flagpole Crash. When that only gets a two count, he goes out to the apron and starts his ascend to the top rope.
Mike Vincent: Mateusz has a signature move called the Polish Hammer, perhaps he may be going for it here.
When Mateusz reaches the top rope, Dexter has returned to his feet, and climbs up with Mateusz, attacking him to prevent him from hitting a Polish Hammer. Mateusz gets a good punch in, which nearly causes Dexter to fall off the ropes, but Mateusz would would lift Dexter onto his shoulders, in a Samoan drop position, before leaping off, hitting the WhiteRed Drop, securing the three count as "House of a Rising Drum" plays in the arena.
Salvatore Pellegrino: The winner of this match, Mateusz Bartkowiak!
Mike Vincent: Not for nothing, Dexter Zane did put up a hell of a fight.
Benji Mathews: Zane got robbed.
When Mateusz finishes his celebration and leaves the ring, the referee tries to help Dexter to his feet. Dexter shoves the referee away. The referee remains in the ring to see if Dexter is okay. When an angry Dexter gets to his feet, he targets the ref who gets the hell out of the ring. The camera fades on Dexter seething as we head backstage.
Michael Jacobs is sitting on a loading crate, listening to music. He pulls his earbuds out and stands up when he sees someone approaching him. It's Dallas Hargrave.
Dallas Hargrave: What the hell was that last week?!
Michael Jacobs: What was what?
Dallas Hargrave: You cost me my match!
Michael Jacobs: Me? I didn't do anything. I merely walked down the ramp and stood at ringside. Not my fault you weren't paying attention to your opponent.
Dallas Hargrave: You did do something, you stuck your nose where it doesn't belong.
Michael Jacobs unzips his hoodie, letting it fall to the floor.
Michael Jacobs: What are you gonna do about it?
Once again, what appears is gonna be a fight is broken up, this time, by an unidentified man.
Unidentified Man: Knock it off, guys!
Michael Jacobs: Who the hell are you to tell us what to do?
Unidentified Man: I'm Gavin Carpenter, Luke hired me as his "third eye" to patrol the building and make sure everything goes smoothly. If a fight breaks out, or if a bottle rocket goes through a windshield, I report it to Luke immediately.
Dallas Hargrave: Well why don't you go tell Luke that his little hall monitor isn't gonna stop me from kicking Jacobs' ass!
With that, Dallas shoves Gavin out of the way and a fight ensues between Hargrave and Jacobs. Gavin pulls a radio from his waist band.
Gavin Carpenter: Luke there's a fight broken out in Hallway F.
Luke Mathews: (through radio) On my way.
The last thing we see before we head back to commercial is Michael Jacobs being tossed into the loading crate.
*****COMMERCIALS*****
Mike Vincent: Before we went to commercial break, a fight broke out between Dallas Hargrave and Michael Jacobs. During the commercial, Luke Mathews and his new "third eye" Gavin Carpenter broke up the fight rather quickly. Neither man sustained any serious injury, and Luke declared that they will go one on one at Rise.
"Light Up the Sky" by Thousand Foot Krutch hits as Clifford Bradley walks out onto the ramp with a sly smirk on his face.
Salvatore Pellegrino: This next contest set for one fall, is a Second Round Match in the AXW Championship Tournament! Introducing first, from Miami, Florida, weighing in at 218 pounds, CLIFFOOOOOORRDDD BRAADLEEEYYYYYY!
Just before the ramp, he stops and raises his arms to the sky and mutters some words before continuing onward and generically entering the ring with your typical heel actions.
The beautiful sounds of Ludwig van Beethoven’s Ode to Joy plays on the arena sound system.
Mike Vincent: Not this song again! This is the third time tonight! This song's gonna be in my dreams.
Benji Mathews: Good. It's a beautiful song.
As if to further incur the ire of the crowd, "Mr. Integrity" Cameron Kennedy Rockefeller allows the song to play for almost a full minute, emerging at the 52 second mark of the crescendo! "Mr. Integrity" steps through the curtain, and pauses, looking around at the booing crowd. He smirks slightly, soaking in their reaction, while straightening the tie of his perfectly crafted Hugo Boss suit.
Salvatore Pellegrino: And his opponent, from Manhattan, New York, weighing in at 205 pounds, he is the United States of Integrity Champion, "Mr. Integrity" CAMEROOON KENNEDYYY ROCKEEEEFELLERRRR!
He then begins to walk slowly to the ring, sneering disdainfully at those sitting ringside as he walks past, ensuring no one is close enough to touch him. As he slowly ascends to the top ring step, he pauses again and looks at the crowd, smirking again, and shaking his head. He wipes off his wrestling boots on the apron, then steps through the ropes, and holds his hands out, and tips his head back ever so slightly, with a huge smile on his face as he soaks in the crowd's hatred. He then begins to remove his trademark charcoal grey Hugo Boss suit.

AXW CHAMPIONSHIP TOURNAMENT - ROUND 2
After a lock up, Clifford backs Cameron into the corner. The ref has to get in between and pull Clifford off, Cameron taking advantage with a poke to the eye. Cameron follows it up with a clothesline. Cameron staying in control, until a reversed irish whip which sees Clifford hitting a sidewalk slam, for a two count. Clifford tries to keep Cameron down with some mat wrestling, to which Cameron maneuvers out of. Cameron would hit a back body drop. Clifford tries flip enough to where he lands on his feet, he wasn't able to fully rotate, but he does land on the mat feet first before the rest of his body lands on the mat. Clifford hold his knee, signalling to the ref that he is hurt. The ref checks on Clifford. Cameron approaches Clifford, but is found in a roll-up for the three! Well, it would have been three, until the referee caught Clifford's legs on the ropes.
Mike Vincent: Caught!
Clifford begins to argue with the ref, but is ultimately caught in an Integrity Driver for a loss. "Ode to Joy" plays.
Salvatore Pellegrino: The winner of this match, Cameron Kennedy Rockefeller!
Cameron grabs his title and immediately leaves the ring. He doesn't even leave through the curtain, he goes off to the side of the stage.
We return once again to the office of Luke Mathews, the three members of Chicks and America sitting on a couch. Trent Mathews hunched over, looking kinda worried, Ricky Diamond, sitting nonchalantly with his arms crossed, and Hoffman LeGrand, sleeping. Luke Mathews stands near the couch.
Luke Mathews: HOFFMAN!
Hoffman LeGrand: (suddenly waking up) Bob Barker's ass cheeks!
Everyone in the room imediately looks at Hoffman.
Ricky Diamond: The hell are you dreaming about?
Hoffman LeGrand: ....Uh, well I was on the Price is Right and--
Luke Mathews: Just stop. Trent.
Trent Mathews: ...Yeah?
Luke Mathews: When we drove to the arena last week, didn't I tell you not to throw a party?
Trent Mathews: ...Yeah...
Luke Mathews: And what did you do?
Trent Mathews: ...Threw a party...
Luke Mathews: And what happened to my SUV?
Trent Mathews: ...Caught on fire...
Luke Mathews: From what?
Trent Mathews: ...Bottle rocket...
Luke Mathews: And who lit the bottle rocket?
Trent Mathews: Hoffman!
Hoffman LeGrand: Whoa man, don't pin this on me, I ain't goin' back to jail, man!
Ricky Diamond: You've been to jail?
Hoffman LeGrand: Yeah man, for a conjugal visit. Things didn't go so well.
Ricky Diamond: Is that what Bob Barker's ass cheeks is about?
Luke Mathews: Well, Trent, since I know it was you who lit the bottle rocket, it will be Hoffman and Ricky competing for the tag titles, and if they win, no Freebird Rule for you.
Trent Mathews: Aw, come on! That's not fair!
Luke Mathews: Well maybe next time you'll think twice before going against my wishes and playing with explosives. Now go think about what you've done.
Trent sadly stands up and leaves the room.
Ricky Diamond: (sigh) I'll go comfort him.
Hoffman shrugs and lays down on the couch, in an attempt to fall back asleep. Luke grabs a squirt bottle off his desk and starts spraying Hoffman.
Luke Mathews: Get out! Go! Shoo!
Hoffman scurries out of the room.
"Blow Me Away" by Breaking Benjamin plays throughout the arena. Sierra pulls onto the curtain as her music starts to play. As Sierra exits the curtains, she grabs onto her cape. She gives a smile, as she begins to make her way down the ramp, followed by her brother Ryan.
Salvatore Pellegrino: This next contest is set for one fall, and is the final First Round Match in the AXW Women's Championship Tournament! Introducing first, being accompanied to the ring by her brother Ryan, Tampa's own, SIIEEERRRAAAAAAAAAA STAAAAAAAARRRRRR!
Once Sierra is halfway down the ramp, she let her cape fall behind her. Once she let her cape go, she places her hands up to her hair and ruffles it, then begins to hit hands with the fans on both sides of the ramp. Sierra would then make her way up the stairs. She would then grab onto the top rope and push it up, so she would be able to go under it. She then would finally enter the ring and look out into the crowd. Sierra would the go over to the corner turnbuckle, which was the one on the right that was closest to the announce table. She would grab onto the top rope and place her feet on the second rope below the turnbuckle. Sierra would then lift herself up with her hands and point up at the sky. Before she would place her hands back onto the turnbuckle to jump down to the mat, she would use her hands and flip her hair out. After a moment of that, Sierra would finally get down from the second rope.
Mike Vincent: Ryan Starr already had a successful debut in front of the hometown crowd, can Sierra do the same?
As the tune of My Songs Know What You Did In The Dark begins to play, Skye comes out from behind the curtain. As she approaches the top of the ramp, she turns around 360 degrees and flashes a smile.
Salvatore Pellegrino: And her opponent, from Dallas, Texas, "The Chickbuster" SKYYYYYYEEEE HAAAAYYYYYNNNEESS!
She then begins to walk down the ramp, giving a wave to the fans. Walking down the ramp, she sees the fans having their hands out for her to hit. She goes over and slaps thhe hands of the fans on both sides of the ramp. Once she finally gets to the ring, she hops up onto the apron, grabbing the middle rope with her hands. She pulls herself up by using the ropes then places her hands onto the top rope. Using the ropes, she then pushes the rope down and jumps over it, having both feet land onto the mat. Once Skye is finally in the ring, she glances at her opponent then goes over to the ropes closest to her. Skye grabs onto the top rope with her left hand and points at the crowd with her right pointer finger. After she lets go of the rope, she waits for the bell to ring.
vs.
AXW WOMEN'S CHAMPIONSHIP TOURNAMENT - ROUND 1
The bell rings and the match starts quick, with a few arm drags from one to the other, and they do alternate them pretty fairly between the two of them. Sierra finally gets the upper hand after locking in a sleeper hold on Skye, and Skye fights the hold with all of her being. She eventually does get to the rope and ducks a lariat, causing Sierra to spill out over the top rope. Sierra gets back in in just a couple of seconds and the two stare each other down for a bit, trying to get a nice advantage over the other.
About two minutes into the match, Sierra has a distinct advantage after a release German Suplex that sent Skye across the ring and into a backflip and the crowd popped to the Suplex, then gasped at the aftermath. Skye was able to get back up quickly though and look to right back, though Sierra seemed to have everything in check. After a couple minutes of absolute dominance, she was looking for the Starry Night, but Skye did a forward roll across the mat to get out of the way just in time. When Sierra turned around, she was met with an Enziguiri.
Both women were on the mat for a good fifteen seconds catching their breath when Skye got to her feet and picked Sierra up, whipping her into the corner. Sierra was then sent through the air with a monkey flip that the crowd popped for. Skye then took control for a few minutes before attempting a Moonsault, which Sierra was swift enough to dodge. Sierra leaned in the corner as Skye slowly got up, this time hitting her with the Starry Night, and covering for a sing along three count and advancement in the tournament!
Salvatore Pellegrino: The winner of this match, Sierra Starr!

Caitlin Shay: I'm standing by with Billy Way, who requested this time. Billy, what do you have to say?
Billy Way: Caitlin... what a pleasure to meet you. You know Caitlin... you and I have very similar last names... but... I think Caitlin Way has a better ring to it... if you know what I mean.
Caitlin Shay: Uhhhh.... no thanks.
Caitlin leaves as quickly as she can.
Billy has a creepy smile as he watches her walk away. He turns around, and is greeted by Craig Brooks.
Craig Brooks: You know Billy, my life just hasn't been the same since the voluptuous Bay Area Boys randomly vanished...
Billy Way: You can talk to me Craig...
Billy puts his arm around Craig as they walk down the hallway. The cameras cut back to the announce desk.
Benji Mathews: What.
Mike Vincent: You gotta feel bad for Craig. He kept chasing after Devin and Derrick James, but they always denied him.

George Massari seems oblivious to the bell ringing as he asks for a microphone.
George Massari: Now before I beat this roided up freak, I just wanna say something real quick. July 27th won't be the Rise of AXW, it'll be the Rise of Heroes of Today! Not only will we be the first people ever to win the Tag Team Championships, but I will also be the first person to win the AXW Championship, AND the first person to hold both titles at the same time!

Benji Mathews: Well, so much for George's dreams.
Salvatore Pellegrino: The winner of this match, Fray8train!
Mike Vincent: I'm gonna point out the obvious here, if either Fray8train, Coffey, or both advance to the finals, they're gonna have to pull double duty at Rise.
Benji Mathews: Well if they both happen to advance, they won't make it to the AXW Championship Match after Fallen Angel is done with them.

Meanwhile, the opening chill and beat of “Hell” by Disturbed comes forth from the PA system, red strobelights pulsing to the beat, a very eerie hue of red. When the guitar and roar of vocals hit, flames explode. Ground N' Pound await the arrival of Fallen Angel, but he doesn't show. Instead, his ominous laugh rings through the arena.
