There's a rumor starting to swirl that former AXW Tag Team and Women's Champion Zoey Mathews-Mitchell has signed, or is about to sign, an AXW wrestler's contract. She was last seen in AXW in April on a special edition of Before the Bell, and is slated to be on the Horizon version as well. On the AXW return special of Before the Bell, she noted that a return to AXW is "very possible," and also noted that she was not medically cleared to compete. It seems she got medically cleared very quickly, as she returned to Empire Wrestling one week later after being on a near one year hiatus from the company. Currently, she is the leader of The Grrrls in EW, featuring AXW alumni Caitlin Shay and Brighton Fischer, as well as EW mainstay Bailey Mayhew.
We're not certain if the rest of The Grrrls will follow, but Zoey pulling double duty in AXW and EW is all but confirmed by an official party. It's not yet known when she will make her in-ring return to AXW, but perhaps she will give further insight on Horizon's Before the Bell.
