We are outside of AXW Headquarters in New York City. A section of the parking lot is filled with chairs and a stage with a podium, and some speakers. Seated in the seats are various reporters, with one section dedicated to the roster of AXW.
"Still Counting" by Volbeat plays throughout the speakers as Luke Mathews, dressed in a suit, walks up onto the stage to a round of applause from the audience. He stands in front of the podium as he starts his speech.
Luke Mathews: Thank you all for coming, and thank you to those who are watching this via live stream on AXW.com. I have several announcements to make today, and of course, I'm gonna save the best news for last. I'm gonna start off by saying that while Syracuse and New York City have been good homes for AXW, AXW Headquarters will be moving back down to Miami, Florida, since AXW is no longer bound by a territory restriction. AXW will continue to do shows along the east coast, and we will be doing shows across the entire country as well as some places outside of the U.S. as well, this will be coming in 2016.
Luke Mathews: The eponymous AXW show as well as The Alternative will remain, however they will not continue airing like they did in EWS, which was AXW on Thursday Nights and The Alternative the night after on Friday, taking place bi-weekly. Instead, both shows will air on Saturdays. AXW will air bi-weekly, and The Alternative will air bi-weekly in the weeks that AXW doesn't air, thus having shows weekly. This format may change in the future, but for now this is the schedule. You can watch AXW and The Alternative on Saturday Nights at 9 PM Eastern Time on ION, after several hours of Criminal Minds. This will start with AXW Episode 22 on August 8th. And of course, if you miss the initial airing, you can watch episodes of AXW and The Alternative a few hours after their initial airing on the BWF Network.
Luke Mathews: All of the AXW Championships are undergoing new designs. On the subject of championships, I'd like you all to please give a warm welcome to the AXW Adrenaline Champion, David Slayton.
David Slayton makes his way from the audience to the stage as "The Phoenix" plays through the speakers. David, also dressed in a suit, makes his way onto the stage, shaking hands with Luke Mathews. One noticeable thing about David - he doesn't have the Adrenaline Championship with him.
Luke Mathews: As of right now, David Slayton's second reign as Adrenaline Champion is over. The Adrenaline Championship was not my creation, so it'd feel wrong for me to continue using it outside of EWS. The rights to use the Adrenaline Championship, as well as the physical title itself, have been returned to Jacob Fox. However, David's hard earned victory to win the title will not go unnoticed. As of this moment, David Slayton is the AXW Xperience Champion.
Luke pulls a sleeve from underneath the podium, and from the sleeve pulls out the new AXW Xperience Championship, and rests it on David's shoulder. David shines it with his wrist, and looks at his reflection in the center plate.
Luke Mathews: What's going to make the Xperience Championship stand out? I'll tell you. Much like the Adrenaline Championship, the Xperience Championship will be defended every time the champion competes in a singles match. However, there are some more twists to make it more interesting. If the champion manages to hold onto the championship for a consecutive ninety days, then they can redeem the Xperience Championship for another Championship Match of their choosing. Redeeming the championship will then cause you to be stripped of the championship, and if you lose your chosen Championship Match, then you have to start all over again.
Luke Mathews: And now, the big news. I have made several phone calls throughout the week, and to ensure that I don't get too cocky and put the rights to own AXW as a stipulation in matches, I no longer own AXW...
Luke allows the members of the audience to talk among themselves during this revelation.
Luke Mathews: It's fitting that the founder of Blazenwing Wrestling Federation, Mr. David Slayton, is stood on this stage with me, because Alternative Xperience Wrestling is now owned by the Blazenwing Wrestling Federation.
The crowd gives their approval, as well as David Slayton who claps along with them.
Luke Mathews: What does this mean for AXW? Will AXW now be overrun with stuffed skunks, or comedians, or whatever the World of Kurt is? The answer is no, however AXW will continue to do occasional cross promotional shows like The Alternative Episode 17. AXW will continue to operate exactly how it has since its inception. I will continue to act as the CEO of AXW, as well as the head of Talent Relations and booking, but as far as owning the whole company, that's in BWF's hands now. Thank you all for coming out here tonight, as well as those who tuned in on AXW.com. Once again, AXW returns to television on Saturday, August 8th, on ION Television.
"Still Counting" plays throughout the speakers once more, as Luke and David exit the stage and the live stream fades to black.
