AXW Headquarters, Miami, Florida
The camera open to a room, where John Hendon and Zack Fields are not in their usual set up, rather a set where they're seated at a desk, with several monitors behind them.
John Hendon: Welcome to the Anarchy Preview, live from AXW Headquarters in beautiful Miami, Florida! I'm John Hendon.
Zack Fields: I'm Zack Fields, and what an event Anarchy will be. Every match contested under No Disqualifications and No Countouts, meaning literally anything can happen, and all of it is legal. I'm so excited, I'm gonna order it now!
Zack picks up his phone and holds it up to his ear.
John Hendon: Hold the phone, Zack!
Zack Fields: ...uh, I am.
John Hendon: Well, put it down then, because there's no need to call your local cable provider.
Zack Fields: There isn't? Then how do I order the pay-per-view?
John Hendon: All you have to do is head over to BWFNetwork.com, sign up for an account, and you can watch Anarchy live on any device!
Zack Fields: Okay, but how much is it gonna cost me?
John Hendon: Not a single quid, as you Brits say. The BWF Network is absolutely free.
Zack Fields: That's amazing! I'm gonna sign up right now!
Zack begins poking at his phone.
John Hendon: Anarchy will be the first ever AXW event to stream live on the BWF Network, and this will come to you in one week time on Saturday, September 26.
Zack Fields: I just finished making my account, there's so much content on here! BWF shows and pay-per-views, shows from many other companies including of course AXW, Aftershock, The Buzz-list, it's bizarre they're giving this stuff away for free!
John Hendon: And for that low low price of nothing you can watch the Grudge Match between Austin Graves and TO'A!
Zack Fields: That's gonna be a match to keep your eye on, however, due to the nature of Anarchy, it could essentially become a handicap match, and it'll be completely legal.
John Hendon: Zack referring to the fact that TO'A's Shooters partner Damien Steele could get involved.
Zack Fields: And if he does decide to interject himself into the match, he'll have a lot on his plate. He may have defeated Austin Graves once, but because of a distraction for TO'A. Austin Graves really isn't a guy you wanna mess with.
John Hendon: Let's not forget how Austin Graves entered AXW. His first night here he dropped Jean-Pierre Frontenac on his head and he hasn't been heard from since.
Zack Fields: And if Damien isn't careful, he could receive the same fate. Then again, he might not get involved at all, but showing past history and the nature of this event, I'd say it's likely.
John Hendon: And if that match takes place prior to the AXW Light Heavyweight Championship Match, would it be smart for Damien to get involved in the Graves/TO'A match or should he better prepare for the Light Heavyweight Title?
Zack Fields: Damien Steele doesn't shy away from the fact he was the first ever and longest reigning, and in his mind most prestigious, AXW Light Heavyweight Champion. Damien might tell you that he won't need to prepare for this match, but he absolutely does. Ryan Starr is one of the best competitors in the game, he's a World Class Workhorse and Damien had better prepare for that match and not worry about Austin Graves.
John Hendon: That's gonna be another classic, two of the best Lightweights in the Division going at it on the big stage for the big prize. On the subject of best in a division and big prizes, we're gonna have a Triple Threat Match for the AXW Women's Championship, as Caitlin Shay defends the title against two former Champions, Hailey Harris and Janet Hurricane.
Zack Fields: This is one of the toughest matches to call, these women are all top tier and any one of them could leave as champion.
John Hendon: Hailey Harris and Janet Hurricane have been butting heads as of late, Caitlin Shay could probably sit back and wait for the ultimate opportunity to walk away as the retaining champion.
Zack Fields: She could do that, however in the case with Hailey and Janet, the enemy of their enemy is also their enemy, so perhaps they could put differences aside to try to ensure Caitlin doesn't leave as AXW Women's Champion.
John Hendon: You know, we've talked about the AXW Women's Championship and the AXW Light Heavyweight Championship, in fact, every championship will be on the line, except for one. September 26 also just happens to be the wedding day of Starla Gardevoir and Gabe Shelley, and David Slayton being the good friend that he is will be in attendance to watch his friends celebrate their big day.
Zack Fields: Surely David will be defending the Xperience Championship against the bridesmaid or something right? He's last defended the title on September 5, which means if he won't be at Anarchy then the next opportunity to defend the title is October 3. So he's just gonna pretty much get a free ride to his next title shot with a free 30 days?
John Hendon: Not at all! We have a surprise in store for you, as David Slayton will be defending the AXW Xperience Championship right here on the Anarchy Preview! We've got some cameras waiting in the Mathews Family Training Facility, where David Slayton is set to defend his Xperience Championship!
The cameras switch feeds to the Mathews Family Training Facility, more specifically the area known as the Mini Arena. The Mini Arena consists of a ring (of course), a down-scaled stage and entrance way, and about 25-30 seats which feature various AXW stars, looking forward to a good match. Spread out in the seats are TRENT, Danny Hall, Cletus Mathews, Brad Adams, Renee Peltier, Starla Gardevoir, Olya Oglovska, Craig Brooks, Max Kilburne, Gina Furlow, Malcolm M. Mitchell, Zoey Mathews-Mitchell, Velvet Valentine, Leland Alexander, Ryan Starr, and Janet Hurricane. Chris Pierce and Cole Haywood are stood outside the ring as they address the camera.
Cole Haywood: A little unorthodox here, but we're about to have an Xperience Championship match right here in the Mathews Family Training Facility, in front of a staggering sixteen crazy fans.
Chris Pierce: And you can feel the excitement as these sixteen fans are going absolutely wild for this historic event.
The crowd applauses, except for the Misfits who boo as we hear TRENT exlcaim "David Slayton sucks!"
Cole and Chris make their way to the announce table, which is a folding table at the edge of the ring.
Cole Haywood: Before we get this match under way, I gotta ask something. (He looks over to Zoey and Malcolm in the crowd) You guys are part owners here, why couldn't you get a regular announce desk in here? What is this the eighties?
Zoey Mathews-Mitchell: As part owner, we can also kick you out on the street and not pay you for this gig tonight.
Malcolm M. Mitchell: And with your poor vision, I'm surprised you can even see the table.
Chris Pierce: If you want, I can go get you some ice.
Cole Haywood: I didn't hear nothin'.
At this point, Senior Official Matt Baker pushes through the curtain as he makes his way to the ring.
Chris Pierce: Coming down the aisle is one of the greatest in the sport of professional refereeing, a true hero to many, weighing in at an impressive 188 pounds, from Augusta, Georgia, he is the man, the myth, the legend, the often imitated but never duplicated, the incomparable, MATT BAKER!
The crowd gives a standing ovation to Matt Baker, who just stands in the ring as any referee would.
‘Invincible’ by Adelitas Way hits and Acer Stone runs out from the back looking pumped up and energetic. He heads down the ramp and punches the air three times.
Cole Haywood: Introducing the challenger, from someplace in Florida that isn't Miami, I forget his weight but I know it's less than the referee, he is named after the brand of laptop I use, ACER STONE!
Acer heads over to the fans and slaps hands with them as he gets to the ring. He climbs into the ring and works the crowd a little more before they join him in punching the air three times.
The lights in the Mini Arena all go out and the Tron comes to life, pulsating with a green light as a quiet beat gets louder with every flash. It gets faster and faster, and louder with each pulse, until the pulsating light explodes into the words "Blazenwing Rises" and “The Phoenix” by Fall Out Boy blares across the arena sound system.
You are a brick tied to me that's dragging me down
Strike a match and I'll burn you to the ground
We are the jack-o-lanterns in July
Setting fire to the sky
He-here comes this rising tide
So come on
PUT ON YOUR WAR PAINT!
The stage fills with smoke and the crowd rises to their feet, cheering loudly except the Misfits who are booing, as the smoke clears on the stage and a man in a dark green trenchcoat stands, head down, facing the Tron. He raises his hands and snaps his fingers, before spinning around Y2J style to reveal David Slayton!
Cole Haywood: And his opponent, from the land of many cheeses, weighing in at a weight higher than the referee's, he is the founder of the Blazin' Wings Challenge at Buffalo Wild Wings, and the defending AXW Xperience Champion, DAVID SLAYTON!
Cross walks and crossed hearts and hope-to-dies
Silver clouds with grey linings
So we can take the world back from the heart-attacked
One maniac at a time we will take it back
You know time crawls on when you're waiting for the song to start
So dance alone to the beat of your heart
His sunglasses shining with the glare from the arena lights, David looks to the left, then to the right, nodding towards the crowd before walking down the ramp. After stopping to slap hands with a few fans, David moves towards the ring steps and hops up and down a few times in front of them before quickly racing up the steps to the apron side facing the stage. He stops and pulls his sunglasses off, then tosses them behind his head into the crowd before leaning down and stepping through the ropes to enter the ring.
Hey young blood
Doesn't it feel like our time is running out?
I'm gonna change you like a remix
Then I'll raise you like a phoenix
You're wearing our vintage misery
No, I think it looked a little better on me
I'm gonna change you like a remix
Then I'll raise you like a phoenix
David walks across the ring and leaps up onto the second rope in a corner, then pulls off his green trenchcoat and tosses it on the floor. David smirks and points to the fans, then slaps his chest a few times and points up towards the sky, closing his eyes and saying a short prayer. David leaps down from the corner and immediately turns to sit down in the same corner, ala Raven. David then rests his head on the second turnbuckle pad as his theme fades and the crowd continues cheering, except for the Misfits who are still booing.
vs.
AXW Xperience Championship
David and Acer slap hands before going in for a lock up, David easily taking Acer to the mat. David sends Acer across the ring with an overhead belly-to-belly suplex. David continues his offense with three consecutive German suplexes. David brings Acer to his feet and Acer catches him with a picture perfect dropkick. Acer hits David with an enzuigiri then springboards off the second rope for a disaster kick. If that wasn't enough, Acer follows up with a shining wizard. Acer tries to follow up with a Stone Crusher (Axe Kick), but David catches him in a powerbomb position. Instead of powerbombing him, David throws him into the air and connects with a sitout facebuster. David hooks Acer's arms and delivers a double underhook backbreaker. David follows up with an inverted DDT then leaps into the air for a jumping elbow drop. David whips Acer to the corner and runs in after him, but Acer gets his boot up. David staggers back as Acer comes off the second rope with a springboard hurricanrana, David rolling out of the ring. Acer doesn't give David much of a breather as Acer runs full sprint across the ring and suicide dives through the ropes, taking David down. Acer tries to get David back into the ring, but it's David who rolls Acer into the ring, David coming in after breaking the twenty count. Acer runs the ropes and David tries to catch him with a clothesline, Acer ducking and rolling David up with a school boy, getting a two count. David kicks Acer in the gut and throws him back to the ropes, this time Acer once again springboards, this time planting David with a tornado DDT. Acer quickly punches the air three times then runs the ropes and connects with the Stone Crusher. Acer climbs to the top rope, perhaps because he wanted to go for the Shooting Star Elbow Drop, but David is getting to his feet. Acer changes his game plan and leaps off for a crossbody, only to get damn near decapitated as David kicks him out of the air with the Full Effect (Sweet Chin Music)! David goes for the cover and that's all she wrote.
Cole Haywood: Acer Stone may not be my favorite, but he really brought it in this match-up.
Chris Pierce: Acer Stone may have a few losses going for him right now, but make no mistake about it, he does have a bright future ahead of him in AXW.
Cole Haywood: And David Slayton's reign continues as he's now almost two-thirds of the way to another championship match of his choosing, as he now sits at 58 days. I gotta tell ya, I can't wait for him to lose it on day 89. That'd be amazing.
After the match, David Slayton helps Acer Stone to his feet and the two show good sportsmanship by shaking hands. David raises Acer's arm as the crowd cheers, except the Misfits, who are still booing.
Chris Pierce: That's it from the Mathews Family Training Facility, let's send it back down the road to AXW Headquarters.
John Hendon: Welcome back to AXW HQ, what a match that was.
Zack Fields: Still, I hope a video breaks loose on the internet next week of David Slayton grappling with the flower girl or something. That'd make my day.
John Hendon: Well we just witnessed Acer Stone in action, Acer made his AXW debut by accepting the Jack Adams' $10,000 Manliness Challenge. He doesn't have a match slated for Anarchy, perhaps he could give it another shot?
Zack Fields: I'm actually feeling it'll be another debut. Who it is, I'm not sure, but the result will probably be the same, and that's Jack Adams holding onto his money.
John Hendon: Can't argue with that. Moving on, we've got the Rubber Match between Olya Oglovska and Marina Blue.
Zack Fields: And with these two dynamic characters, I'm sure they'll literally be using rubber in the match.
John Hendon: Well it would be legal. Olya Oglovska has really proved her worth in AXW, however the deciding factor could be Gimp, as we said about Graves vs. TO'A, this could essentially become a handicap match and it would be legal. The referee is just there to count a pinfall or submission.
Zack Fields: Well with all the talks about handicap matches, there actually is a Handicap Match as Bruiser Lazzou will take on all three members of The Misfits.
John Hendon: Is it in bad taste that it's called a Handicap Match and Cletus Mathews is in it?
Zack Fields: Not unless you point it out.
John Hendon: How about I point out that The Takeover is on a mission and they're gunning for The Push's AXW Tag Team Championships?
Zack Fields: This really is a night of numbers games, as The Takeover has four members to The Push's two.
John Hendon: Surely The Push can find a way, after all they ended the dominant reign of Hand of Blood.
Zack Fields: That's true, and only time will tell.
John Hendon: And time will tell who will become the next AXW Champion. In the Main Event we have a Fatal Four Way as Duncan Aries, Crash Jackson, Justin Wyndham, and Fredrick Wyndham clash. We will finally determine an AXW Champion.
Zack Fields: And I gotta admit, I agree with Crash Jackson. He really shouldn't be competing, he should've been re-rewarded the title since he never actually lost it.
John Hendon: It's a very sticky situation, and I believe Luke Mathews has done his best to try to remedy the situation.
Zack Fields: Duncan Aries has been nicknamed The Wild Card, but if you ask me, the wild card going into this match is Fredrick Wyndham. Justin made some good points, Fredrick has just been sitting back and now all of a sudden he finds himself in an AXW Championship in the Main Event of Anarchy, and he could walk out as champion.
John Hendon: Truly the hardest match to call. Now's our time for predictions, who you got, Zack?
Zack Fields: I'm feeling that Austin Graves will overcome TO'A and Damien Steele. There's no doubt in my mind that Steele will interject himself. Marina Blue wins the Rubber Match and moves to 2-1 against Olya. The Misfits as a cohesive unit will defeat Bruiser Lazzou. Jack Adams' Manliness Challenge will be accepted by a fresh face to AXW, however Jack Adams will hold onto his money. The Takeover takes over as they become the new AXW Tag Team Champions. Damien Steele will dethrone Ryan Starr and regain his AXW Light Heavyweight Championship. Caitlin Shay will continue her reign as AXW Women's Champion. And in the Main Event.... I truly can't pick. I'll be happy just to see a great match.
John Hendon: I'm feeling that TO'A will defeat Austin Graves. Olya Oglovska defeats Marina Blue. Bruiser Lazzou will topple the Misfits. Jack Adams indeed keeps his money. The Push hold on to their AXW Tag Team Championships. Ryan Starr keeps all of his accolades. Janet Hurricane leaves as a two time AXW Women's Champion. And.... I can't pick for the Main Event either.
Zack Fields: Well that's all we have for the Anarchy Preview. Make sure to catch Anarchy next Saturday on the BWF Network.
