Cleveland, Ohio
Episode VIII
We open to the arena in Cleveland, Ohio, where some of the fans are starting to pile in.
The instrumental version of blink-182's "Up All Night" plays throughout the arena as John Hendon and Zack Fields walk out onto the stage. They walk to stage right, where the new Before the Bell setup is. A couch, a chair, a coffee table, and a decorative plant between the couch and chair. Zack and John sit down on the couch, where they grab live mics.
John Hendon: Welcome to Before the Bell! As you can see, we have a different setup tonight, we are live in the Wolstein Center in Cleveland, Ohio, and we have a live audience as some of the fans are starting to take their seats.
Zack Fields: I like this setup. Make some noise guys!
The fans that are in the arena make some noise.
John Hendon: For those of you here tonight who may not be familiar with Before the Bell, or first time viewers at home, we're gonna quickly recap last week's show and then discuss tonight's show with a special guest.
Zack Fields: Our guest tonight will be here later, his name is Acer Stone!
The fans cheer at Acer's name.
John Hendon: Last week, Janet Hurricane defeated Velvet Valentine to advance in the AXW Women's Championship Number One Contender's Tournament.
Zack Fields: Janet has a new theme song, a new nickname, but most importantly a new attitude. She used underhanded tactics, putting her feet on the ropes.
Some boos from the crowd.
Zack Fields: These people don't seem to like it, but I do. I think this new attitude of hers will take her to new heights.
John Hendon: Speaking of underhanded tactics, that's what Jack Adams did to beat Mercer Prime.
Zack Fields: The ol' classic slam the chair on the mat and throw it to your opponent.
John Hendon: Surely Jack will run out of tricks, right?
Zack Fields: He does have the trick of talent, and that never gets old.
John Hendon: In a fantastic match up, Starla Gardevoir bested Olya Oglovska to advance in the AXW Women's Championship Number One Contender's Tournament.
Zack Fields: Starla was the first guest on Before the Bell, and she told us that winning the AXW Women's Championship is not her objective. She said she's here to break down barriers, and she's not gonna do that by winning the Women's Championship.
John Hendon: She's not gonna be breaking down barriers over night, Zack. Sometimes you have to take the opportunities that are handed to you.
Zack Fields: Well Starla will be facing Janet Hurricane next week in the Semi-Finals.
John Hendon: David Slayton retained the Xperience Championship against Steve Corman.
Zack Fields: Steve got his shoulder up, but it was one second too late as the referee already counted three.
John Hendon: And in the Main Event, Duncan Aries walked out holding onto the AXW Championship.
Zack Fields: He lost the match, but by disqualification. Fredrick Wyndham has it out for his brother Justin.
John Hendon: And now, ladies and gentlemen, Acer Stone!
‘Invincible’ by Adelitas Way hits and Acer Stone runs out from the back looking pumped up and energetic. He punches the air three times and heads over to the set, where he shakes hands with John and Zack before sitting in the chair.
John Hendon: Welcome!
Acer Stone: Thanks! Happy to be here.
Zack Fields: You made your surprise debut in AXW by accepting the Manliness Challenge, what made you choose AXW over anywhere else?
Acer Stone: I felt it was the best option. With every other EWS brand fizzling out and AXW continuing to grow stronger, it was a no brainer for me.
John Hendon: What do you look to accomplish in AXW?
Acer Stone: If I made just one person happy, then I've done my job. Championships will come and go, but the connection you get with the fans is something truly special.
Zack Fields: You wanna do some predictions?
Acer Stone: Let's do it!
John Hendon: The final first round matches of the AXW Women's Championship Number One Contender's Tournament will take place, starting with Zoey Mathews-Mitchell vs. Marina Blue.
Acer Stone: I'm picking Zoey to win this one. The Takeover have been really impressive, and they could very well be taking the Women's Title home.
Zack Fields: How about Tatau vs. Hailey Harris?
Acer Stone: Despite being the longest reigning AXW Women's Champion, Hailey is going into this one as the underdog. That's been my story my whole life. Hailey is in a position that is extremely relatable to me. I'm pulling for Hailey.
John Hendon: Ryan Starr and Austin Graves take on The Misfits. Who do you got?
Acer Stone: I gotta say I like this tandem of Graves and Starr. I've become pretty close to Ryan since coming here, and these guys will take the tag division by storm, there's no doubt in my mind.
Zack Fields: Leland Alexander takes on AXW Tag Team Champion Timmy McDermott.
Acer Stone: As I said, the Takeover have been impressive, but I think the Push are just that much more impressive. They defeated both Hand of Blood and The Takeover, they are the face of the tag team division right now, and despite their fun loving personalities, they are not meant to be taken lightly.
John Hendon: And in the Main Event, Duncan Aries defends the AXW Championship against Crash Jackson. Who do you think is walking out with the title?
Acer Stone: Crash Jackson is hellbent on getting his title back. He's not gonna let Aries try to squirm by one more week holding the title, he's taking it back.
Zack Fields: Some solid predictions. What say you, John?
John Hendon: I think Zoey Mathews-Mitchell will be facing Hailey Harris in the Semi-Finals. Hailey isn't gonna let Tatau stop her. Austin Graves and Ryan Starr will continue to impress by defeating the Misfits. Timmy McDermott will defeat Leland Alexander. Crash Jackson will get his revenge and leave as the two-time AXW Champion.
Zack Fields: So you have the exact same opinion as Acer, I have the exact opposite. Marina Blue will be facing Tatau in the semi-finals. No one will be able to stop Tatau, and that includes Hailey Harris. The Misfits are gonna beat Graves and Starr and decide which one of them gets a Light Heavyweight Title Shot. Leland Alexander will show why the Takeover are taking over, and Duncan Aries holds onto the AXW Championship.
John Hendon: On behalf of Zack Fields and Acer Stone, I'm John Hendon. We gotta clear the stage off and get ready for some action. Are you guys excited?
The crowd, now near capacity, cheers.
John Hendon: Stay tuned to the Alternative on ION at the top of the hour!

Episode XXII
Pyro blasts from the stage before panning across the crowd to show the various signs in attendance tonight.
Lily Luna: Welcome to the Alternative! Tonight we'll have the final match of the three AXW Championship defenses, Duncan Aries has managed to hang on to the title twice, albeit due to distractions and interference, can he make it out tonight still holding onto the title?
Chris Pierce: Tonight he faces Crash Jackson who has a huge grudge against Aries, a lot of bad blood between the two. It's gonna be his toughest defense yet.
Lily Luna: That's later, right now we're gonna finish off one of the first round matches in the AXW Women's Championship Number One Contender's Tournament!
"Breaking and Entering" hits as Zoey Mathews-Mitchell emerges from behind the curtain. She stands on the stage, back facing the ring, her arms outspread with hands open. She turns around, now facing the ring, and quickly throws her arms into the air, her hands in a fist, except for her pointer fingers which are extended, as pyro blasts on the stage. She lowers her arms and begins walking down the ramp.
Jen Brunelli: This opening contest is a First Round Match in the AXW Women's Championship Number One Contender's Tournament! Introducing first, representing the Takeover, from Riviera Beach, Florida, ZOEY MATHEWS-MITCHELL!
She high fives some of the fans at ringside, before climbing onto the apron. She scans the crowd, and raises one arm into the air, before jumping over the top rope. She climbs onto a turnbuckle and throws her arms out to her sides, before raising them into the air, similar to what she did on the stage.
"Slip It In" hits as Marina comes out holding a bag in one hand and a cat o' nine tails in the other. Gimp follows behind her crawling on the ground.
Jen Brunelli: And her opponent, accompanied to the ring by Gimp, from North Hollywood, California, MARINA BLUE!
She drops the bag at her corner and enters the ring, cracking the whip a few times before the ref can stop her.

AXW Women's Championship Number One Contender's Tournament
Round 1
Zoey and Marina lock up with Marina kneeing Zoey in the gut and takes her down with a hurricanrana. Marina lifts Zoey up for a fisherman suplex. Marina whips Zoey to the ropes and on the rebound Zoey plants Marina to the mat with a Tilt-a-whirl DDT. Zoey springs back off the ropes and nails Marina with a Shotgun Kick. Marina gets to her feet and tries to turn the tables but Zoey remains on offense by bringing Marina to the mat with a flapjack. Zoey lifts Marina up for a T-Bone Suplex, then quickly heads out to the apron and wows the crowd with a springboard Shooting Star Press. After a two count, Zoey lifts Marina back to her feet and Marina rocks Zoey with a roundhouse kick. Marina drops Zoey to the mat with an inverted DDT. After an unsuccessful pin attempt both get to their feet and Zoey is met with a superkick from Marina. Marina grabs Zoey's legs and locks in her a Figure Four Leg Lock. Zoey hollers out in pain, but manages to pull herself to the bottom rope. Marina puts Zoey in the tree of woe then runs across the ring before coming back in with a baseball slide. Zoey slumps down to the mat, Marina lifts her to her feet before ramming her fingers down her throat for the Gag Factor! Marina slams Zoey back into the turnbuckles, then heads to the adjacent corner. Marina starts ascending the turnbuckles for the Dirtpipe Milkshake (Van Terminator), but Zoey rolls out of the ring. Marina switches gears and jumps to the outside with a crossbody to Zoey. Gimp encourages Marina to get Zoey back in the ring, which Marina does when she gets back to her feet. Marina slides back in after and finds herself on Zoey's shoulders, before being slammed to the mat with a Firebomb (Fireman Carry Powerbomb), Zoey folding Marina for the pin.
Jen Brunelli: Here is your winner, ZOEY MATHEWS-MITCHELL!
Lily Luna: A heck of a match, but Zoey is one step closer to the Women's Championship.
Chris Pierce: The Takeover are saying that the Women's Championship will be coming to them, and they're one small step closer to doing so.
"Breaking and Entering" takes over once again. Gimp slides into the ring and looks to attack Zoey but finds himself on the wrong end of a Z4 (C4/Flip Bottom).
-----
We're backstage with the Shooters.
Damien Steele: Look, we haven't been seeing eye to eye, but I have a solution on how to get back on the same page.
TO'A: And what's that?
Damien Steele: Graves and Starr have a match up next. When they least expect it, BAM! They're laid out by the Shooters. What do you say?
Damien lifts his fist up, which TO'A bumps.
Damien Steele: Let's go.
The Shooters leave the camera frame as we head back to ringside.
------
‘War Machine’ begins to play, as the crowd rises to their feet. The song plays out with the white spots lights zooming around the arena until the 33 second mark when the drums kick in and Austin Graves steps out from the back, checking the black hockey tape on his wrists.
Jen Brunelli: This next tag team contest is set for one fall! Introducing first, from St. Louis, Missouri, weighing in at 245 pounds, "War Machine" AUSTIN GRAVES!
Graves pays no attention to the crowd whether they boo or cheer him, and he’s focused like a laser beam on the task at hand. Rolling into the ring under the bottom rope, he rolls to his feet and walks over to the hard (tv) camera side of the ropes, placing both hands on the top ropes, pressing down on them slightly, staring coldly into the camera at first, then giving way to a cold, almost sick half smile as if to say, “I’m going to enjoy this…”
As Footsteps by Pop Evil begins to blare through the speakers of the arena, Ryan comes out from behind the curtain. He stands and looks out into the crowd.
Jen Brunelli: And his partner, from Tampa, Florida, weighing in at 195 pounds, he is the RPSW Jr. Weight Champion, the winner of the 2015 World Super J-Cup, and the AXW Light Heavyweight Champion, RYAN STARR!
He then runs down the ramp, hitting hands with the fans and slides into the ring. Then he goes up onto the ropes and bounces on them, trying to get the fans all hyped up for the match. He then jumps in the ring a little to get warped up to face his opponent.
TRENT walks out onto the stage and drops to his knees, arms outspread, with Danny Hall standing behind him.
Jen Brunelli: And their opponents, at a combined weight of 437 pounds, the team of TRENT and Danny Hall, THE MISFITS!
TRENT and Danny walk down the ramp, discussing their strategy before entering the ring.
vs.
Our current tag-team attraction features “War Machine” Austin Graves and “World Class Workhorse” Ryan Starr facing TRENT and “Mr. Most Hated” Danny Hall (a.k.a. The Misfits). Starr and TRENT square off at mid-ring with Ryan connecting flush with an Enzugiri and Russian Leg Sweep combination. “The World Class Workhorse” then tries applying an Armbar, but gets viciously kicked in his external occipital protuberance by TRENT. After two kicks, TRENT scores with a Pumplehandle Drop, but somehow gets snagged into a Reverse Chinlock. TRENT steadies himself for a Jawbreaker in order to break Starr’s vise-tight grip. This maneuver allows him to fall forward and tag in “Mr. Most Hated” Danny Hall. Being a little hazy, Ryan Starr crawls over to Austin Graves. “Mr. Most Hated” dispatches his adversary by striking with a Throat Chop and Double-Arm DDT. Danny Hall goes for a cover, but it’s broken up at two after Starr delivers a ferocious Forearm Shiver. “The World Class Workhorse” then kips up, connects with a Front Dropkick against Hall’s chest to propel himself closer to Graves. “War Machine” accepts the tag as Hall charges towards him with a Clothesline to zero effect. Austin Graves counters with a Running Stiff Arm Lariat that causes Danny to practically flip out of at least one wrestling boot. “War Machine” then hoists Danny onto his shoulders for a foreboding Fireman’s Carry Gutbuster. Clutching his sternum and breadbasket, Danny Hall appears to be windless. To deplete further access to oxygen, Austin Graves Irish Whips Hall against the eastern set of ring ropes for a spine-tingling Pop-Up Powerbomb. “War Machine” then tags in “The World Class Workhorse” who hops onto the northwestern second turnbuckle. Referee begins counting 1…2…as Graves uses his partner like a projectile via a Running Corner Powerbomb. Upon mid-air release, Starr executes a slightly-elevated Elbow Drop to Danny Hall’s sternum. Ryan makes a cover as TRENT goes to break things up. Unfortunately, Bruiser Lazzou rolls out from under the southern ring apron, lumbers in and catches TRENT in a backbreaking Bear Hug. The referee has no choice but to rule the match a disqualification in favor of The Misfits.
Jen Brunelli: Your winners as a result of a disqualification, The Misfits!
Lily Luna: Bruiser Lazzou comes from out of nowhere to attack TRENT, and as stated on AXW.com, if the Misfits win they get to pick which member gets a Light Heavyweight Title Shot, and technically they just won.
Chris Pierce: Either that was in the back of Lazzou's mind or he just plain doesn't care, one thing's for sure and that's that Graves and Starr are not happy.
Graves and Starr ask Lazzou what he's doing, Lazzou not responding as he's squeezing the life out of TRENT. Danny Hall starts clubbing Lazzou in the back, Lazzou breaks the bear hug, turns around, and shoves Danny out of the ring. TRENT takes advantage and takes Lazzou down with a chop block, then rolls out of the ring as he and Danny high tail it out of there. Meanwhile, while Graves and Starr are distracted by that confrontation, Damien Steele enters the ring and clubs Graves, taking him down, then sends Starr up into the air with a back body drop. Steele is standing tall temporarily, when he looks around and screams "Where is he?! God dammit!" clearly upset that TO'A did not join him out here. Starr and Graves are to their feet, and Steele runs into a back body drop from Starr, with Graves catching him for a powerbomb. Starr directs some traffic and Graves stands by the ropes. Starr whips Steele into Graves, Graves launching Steele high over the top rope, Steele landing hard on the floor with a thud. Graves and Starr exit the ring while Lazzou has presumably left to try to chase down the Misfits.
Lily Luna: Well, Graves and Starr showed some great teamwork tonight, but at some point down the line Starr is defending the Light Heavyweight Title against a to be determined member of the Misfits.

The Code Awakens Me once again flashes intensely on screen. It pulses faster until fading away, this time however the brick wall in front of the camera is empty. There's a noise and a shout as the cameraman is hurled from behind the camera by an unseen force. He hits the wall and slides down it, before the camera is grabbed and turned away. The blond woman from before is dragging the camera behind her at arms length. She looks back at it, smirking as she walks those blue eyes cold.
“Soon. What I am waiting for? Biding my time, perfection is patience and I am high art. I will sweep out the pretenders and take my spot on the throne. I am pure power, unstoppable, invincible and my goal is the top. All are inferior to me and I know who my first example of this will be. All of you have been warned. The Perfect Storm is coming. The Code Awakens Me.”
She stops abruptly and flings the camera forward with one forceful arm movement. As the camera is rolling down what can only be an exit ramp, we get the first real full look at the woman. Wind whipping through blond hair brushed to one side of her face, black fight pants and a blue jean vest over a white shirt. The camera tumbles to the bottom of the ramp and falls over, cutting to black as it does.
-----
A shrill scream echoes throughout the arena causing some people to have to cover their ears. The lights dim down and then the scream stops an a cackle replaces it followed by ‘Monster‘ by Disturbed.
White smoke fills the entrance ramp and then a tall figure slowly walks through the smoke. Tatau makes her way down the ramp looking intense and ready to fight.
Jen Brunelli: This next contest is a First Round Match in the AXW Women's Championship Number One Contender's Tournament! Introducing first, from the Island of Samoa, she is "Lady Samoa" TATAU!
She gets into the ring and lets out an almighty roar then she tries to intimidate the referee by grabbing him by the throat and telling him that “I will win this match, you got that?” Tatau finally goes to her corner and waits for the match to start.
The tunes of "Unbreakable" by Fireflight pulse over the PA system as pink and purple strobelights flash and pulse. Hailey emerges, bouncing up and down, firing the crowd up before sprinting down the ramp, slapping hands with fans, both of her arms extended.
Jen Brunelli: And her opponent, from Baltimore, Maryland, "The Long Shot" HAILEY HARRIS!
She slides into the ring and scales a turnbuckle, one hand on her hip, the other raised high in the air. She jumps off the turnbuckle with a smile, prepared for her match.
vs.
AXW Women's Championship Number One Contender's Tournament
Round 1
Hailey shows no fear of the much larger Tatau, she jumps up and hits several forearm smashes to Lady Samoa, but Tatua eventually just shoves her clear across the ring. Hailey hits a dropkick to Tatau which is enough to send her stumbling back into the corner. Hailey runs in at Tatau but Tatau gets her boot up. Hailey tries to stay on offense and runs the ropes only to get thrown into the air with a Pop-Up into a jumping Knee strike. Tatau goozles Hailey before slamming her hard onto the mat with a chokeslam. Tatau lifts Hailey and plants her to the mat with a Sitout Powerbomb, earning a two count. Tatau lifts Hailey to her feet, and Hailey rocks her with a gamengiri. Hailey runs the ropes and hits a low dropkick, causing Tatau to fall to her knees. This allows Hailey to drive her to the mat with The Long Shot (Twist Of Fate). Hailey climbs to the top rope but Tatau is already to her feet. Hailey leaps off for a crossbody, Tatau catches her and drops her with a Tatau-erbomb (Scoop lift powerbomb) for the win.
Jen Brunelli: Here is your winner, TATAU!
Lily Luna: Wow. Tatau just beat the longest reigning AXW Women's Champion like it was nothing.
Chris Pierce: Hailey tried her best, but she just couldn't match Tatau tonight.
"Monster" plays througout the arena as Tatau simply exits the ring in victory.
-----
The screen is completely dark, but we can hear a voice being heard for the viewers at home. Voice that sounds all so familiar, but whose voice is it?
Life… is nothing but a mystery.
A mystery that for years that is waiting to be solved.
We want to know our purpose of life and why we’re created.
Destiny gives humans a sense of identity, a sense of hope, a sense of guidance.
Destiny gives us some sort of answer of why we’re here.
My life was a mystery.
A mystery that I didn't have an answer for for a long time.
I didn’t know my destiny.
I didn’t know why I exist.
Maybe it was destiny that caused to me suffer from amnesia and lose my past memories for four years.
Maybe it was destiny that lead to Doctor Lea Francis to discover me.
Maybe it was destiny that lead me to become a wrestler.
I don’t know.
In fact, I don’t know anything and I'm still searching for answers.
For clues.
For the reasons I exist.
But I do know... I do know… that I serve one person and one person only… and that's myself.
The screen opens at the view of Fredrick Wyndham sitting on the sands of Rockaway Beach. He stares at the stone on his hand and grips it before looking deeply at the camera.
I hear voices in my head... and they tell me to destroy.
They tell me to destroy my own brother... my own flesh and blood.
Why?
Because you're the reason of my anger... the reason why my inner beast has awoken.
You're the source of my rage.
It is my destiny to destroy you, brother, and show you a world of despair.
It is my destiny.... to be the only Wyndham left standing.
Project Zero throws the stone on the water and watches it sinks before the screen fades to black.
Spiderbait's banjo bashing version of 'Black Betty' kicks in as ‘The Next Generation’ Leland Alexander comes running out onto the stage, kicking out big over exaggerated strides and drops into a squat, pointing both hands towards the ring in the shape of guns, before pulling the triggers. He blows the invisible smoke off and heads to the ring, clapping the hands of the fans.
Jen Brunelli: This next contest is set for one fall! Introducing first, representing the Takeover, from Detroit, Michigan, weighing in at 205 pounds, "The Next Generation" LELAND ALEXANDER!
He reaches the ringside and runs, leaping rolls into the ring between the bottom and middle ropes, and takes up station on the ropes, pointing to his hand, in the gesture for Detroit and then pounding his fist against his chest while pointing at the camera.
“Dance Pants” by The Push hits as a laser light show brings out Timmy McDermott to a bunch of pop n’ lock dance moves which really gets the crowd behind him.
Jen Brunelli: And his opponent, representing the Push, from Scranton, Pennsylvania, weighing in at 200 lbs, he is one half of the AXW Tag Team Champions, "Thunderlips" TIMMY MCDERMOTT!
He continues dancing on his way to the ring, singing along with the song before entering the ring. McDermott climbs a turnbuckle and motions for the crowd to get to their feet before jumping off and looking over at his opponent with a cheesy grin.
vs.
Timmy calls for a test of strength. They lock one set of hands before Leland just kicks Timmy in the gut. Leland immediately follows with a knee to the face, then a spinning heel kick. Leland runs to the ropes, Timmy ducks a clothesline and runs the ropes himself, and hits Leland with a running elbow (a la “The Hammer”). Timmy lifts Leland up for a suplex. Timmy brings Leland back to his feet for a piledriver, only getting a two count on the dangerous move. Timmy hooks Leland for a fisherman’s suplex, but Leland fights it every time Timmy tries to lift him. Leland ends up countering with a swinging neckbreaker. Leland drops Timmy back to the mat and follows up with a Baseball Sliding Clothesline. Leland whips Timmy to the ropes only for Timmy to knock him down with a Polish Hammer. Timmy drops Leland onto his knee with a backbreaker. Timmy gets a two count, and before anything more can happen,
Person: Hey!
Timmy's and Leland's attention are both directed towards the jumbotron where Hand of Blood appear.
Inferno: I see you guys are in the middle of a sub-par match, but we felt we had something you two might wanna see.
Inferno and Jason step out of frame to see Malcolm M. Mitchell and Jimmy Reynolds unconscious and bloodied on the floor.
Inferno: Perhaps this might be of interest to you two gentlemen?
With that, the jumbotron goes back to normal. Leland rolls out of the ring and runs up the ramp, with Timmy exiting not far behind him. Gus Ramos has started a count but renders it pointless, and ducks through the ropes to tell Jen Brunelli the outcome.
Jen Brunelli: Ladies and gentlemen, referee Gus Ramos has declared both competitors counted out, therefore the result of the match is a DRAW!
Lily Luna: Hand of Blood have officially started the mind games. I hope Malcolm and Jimmy are okay.
Chris Pierce: Hand of Blood are good at what they do, which is why they have the longest reign of any title in AXW history.
-----
Brad Adams: Ladies and gentlemen, my guest at this time, Jack Adams!
Jack Adams: What's your name again?
Brad Adams: It's Brad. Brad Adams.
Jack Adams: Adams? Who the hell do you think you are using my name?
Brad Adams: Uhh... this is my birth--
Jack Adams: I will be sure to tell my lawyers to send you a cease and desist letter. I have the best lawyers in the world, you ain't winning this case.
Brad Adams: Well, I-- if I could change the subject, I wanted to get your thoughts on your match last week.
Jack Adams: What about it? Mercer Prime realized he wasn't man enough to beat me and hit me over the head with a chair.
Brad Adams: That's not what happened...
Jack Adams: Who are you to tell me what happened? You can't even get by without stealing someone else's identity! This interview is over, expect a letter from my lawyers with the week, and I will see you in court.
Brad looks on very confused as Jack walks off.
w11.zetaboards.com/AXW/topic/11357207/1/#new
Jen Brunelli: Ladies and gentlemen, this is your Main Event! It is scheduled for one fall, and is for the AXW Championship!
"Remedy" by Seether blasts out throughout the arena as ‘The Titan’ Crash Jackson walks out to the top of the ramp. He bounces from foot to foot psyching himself up for his match. He tenses his body up and then throws his arms out to either side and lets out a mighty roar while a small pyrotechnics display goes on right behind him. He starts making his way down to the ring slapping hands with some of the fans on his way. Crash slides in under the bottom ropes to enter the ring. He goes over to a turnbuckle and climbs to the second rope. He beats on his chest with a clenched fist and then throws the same fist up into the air, oozing with pure intensity as he yells out to the crowd. Crash jumps down from there and readies himself in his corner to start the match.
An ice blue hue descends on the stage, “Playing The Saint” by Digital Summer blaring as a spade of the same color is shown on the ramp, Aries emerging with his back to us, clad in a denim jacket with the same spade on fire printed on the back, his arms crossed. Pyros explode on either side as Aries then spins around, his arms still crossed, head cocked in a smug grin. Aries then takes a confident stride towards the ring, eyes not off the ring from under his ice blue tinted Aviator shades. Aries climbs the steps and walks the apron, looking out onto the crowd before tossing his shades to a lucky fan, entering the ring, pumped up, tossing off his jacket and delivering some shadow punches and kicks as his music fades.
Jen Brunelli: Introducing first, the challenger, from Miami, Florida, weighing in at 258 pounds, "The Titan" CRASH JACKSON!
Crash does nothing but stare across the ring at Aries.
Jen Brunelli: And his opponent, from San Diego, California, he is the defending AXW Champion, "The Wild Card" DUNCAN ARIES!
For the third straight week in a row, Duncan Aries raises his championship with nothing but confidence, before handing it off to Senior Official Matt Baker.
vs.
AXW Championship
As soon as the bell sounds Crash spears Duncan to the mat and delivers many punches, before being instructed to let up by Matt Baker. Duncan gets back to his feet and is met with a barrage of punches and elbow strikes, and gets backed to the corner. Crash lifts Duncan onto the top turnbuckle, then runs across the ring with Duncan on his shoulders for a Muscle Buster. Crash hits the ropes and nails Duncan with a Yakuza Kick. Crash sends Duncan across the ring with an exploder suplex. Duncan rolls out of the ring to gain some composure, but Crash isn't gonna allow it. Crash runs across the ring and slides out, but Duncan traps him in the ring skirt and gets some shots in. Duncan gets Crash out of the ring skirt, and lifts him into the air, and plants him onto the apron with a sort of suplex slam. Duncan climbs onto the apron, springs off the bottom rope and drives both knees into Crash's midsection. Crash rolls into the ring clutching his stomach in pain. Duncan enters the ring and waits for Crash to get up, and springs off the second rope and kicks Duncan with the Enter Gideon (Beautiful Disaster Kick), and is a little frustrated when he only gets two off of it. Duncan hooks Crash for the San Diego Driver (Full Nelson pickup released into a wheelbarrow facebuster), but Crash elbows himself free, then slams Duncan down with a Full Nelson Slam. Crash whips Duncan, but Duncan reverses and it's Crash that heads to the ropes, and on the rebound Crash damn near breaks Duncan in half with Blind Rage (High Impact Spear). After a two count both get to their feet and Duncan stumbles into two unreleased Belly-to-Belly Suplexes, followed by an Overhead Belly-to-Belly Suplex. Crash brings Duncan back to his feet and Duncan finds the strength to hit a beautiful dropkick from out of nowhere. Duncan slams Crash to the mat with a German suplex landing in a bridged pin, Crash kicking out at two. Duncan runs the ropes and gets caught up in a beautiful The Obliterator (Black Hole Slam)! Crash pins Duncan, but Duncan manages to reach out and grab the rope. Crash tries to plead his case but Matt Baker is adamant about Duncan grabbing the rope. Duncan grabs a handful of Crash's pants and rolls him up, Matt Baker not seeing that Duncan has a handful of pants as he counts to three.
Jen Brunelli: Here is your winner, and STILL the AXW Champion, DUNCAN ARIES!
Lily Luna: Duncan Aries manages to sneak by by holding Crash's pants, and retains the AXW Championship for the third week.
Chris Pierce: Unfortunately, Matt Baker didn't see it, and I'm sure Cole Haywood didn't either, but-- hold on Crash is attacking Aries!
Crash Jackson is not happy about the outcome and is taking it out on Aries. Crash slams Aries to the mat with The Dominator (Bobby Lashley-style Dominator). Crash exits the ring, points at Jen Brunelli, then points away, signalling for her to get off her chair. Jen obliges and Crash takes her chair and re-enters the ring. Crash slams the chair down many times on Duncan's ankle, getting revenge for that dark night in Crash's career almost 3 months ago. Everytime Duncan tries to crawl away, he gets a chair shot to the back, then more to the ankle. Every AXW referee comes down and tries to keep Crash away, and the ring shortly after floods with security. They all manage to get Crash out of the ring and out of the arena. In the ring, Duncan Aries on all fours, demands his championship and a microphone, and uses the ropes to help himself up. He tries to put weight on his ankle, but decides that's not the best idea.
Duncan Aries: Let me explain something to you Crash. You see, you're half the man that I am, and that's still giving you too much credit. I'm fine, this will take what, a day to heal, while I broke your ankle and you had to get stretchered out of the arena while I AM STILL STANDING! You were on the shelf for weeks while I can just tape this up and fight tomorrow. You've said that I was scared about you being the longest reigning champ and that you were coming close to breaking my reigns, but that's not the case at all. Not even close, kid. The only person worthy of holding this championship is Duncan Aries, and you are not Duncan Aries. I did what I did because you're a disgrace of a champion, just like everyone else who held this belt who isn't Duncan Aries. And just in case you all forgot, I AM DUNCAN ARIES! As long as I'm champion, no one will be taking this title away from me. Not Crash Jackson, not Justin Wyndham, not Fredrick Wyndham, not Steve Corman, not Luke the Puke, and DEFINITELY not--
Lily Luna: David Slayton!
We don't get David's usual entrance, rather, he sprints full speed out of the curtain with the Xperience Championship in one hand, and the other hand dragging Jessie McCormick by the wrist, probably the first referee he saw, as she does her best to keep up with him. David slides into the ring, Duncan tries to hit him with the AXW Championship, but David ducks it, and as they both turn around, David clocks Duncan upside the head with the Xperience Championship! David shoves the Xperience Championship into Jessie McCormick, and demands she calls for the bell. Jessie hands the Xperience Championship through the ropes to Jen Brunelli, and instructs something to her, Jen nodding her head.
Jen Brunelli: Ladies and gentlemen, David Slayton is redeeming the Xperience Championship for an AXW Championship Match!
The crowd erupts in cheers.
Lily Luna: David Slayton is cashing in!
Chris Pierce: Today marks day 94, so he's eligible! This is all legal!
vs.
AXW Championship
Duncan once again uses the ropes to help him up, and hobbles into The Full Effect (Sweet Chin Music)! David falls onto Duncan and hooks the leg, the crowd chanting in unison as Jessie counts,
ONE!
TWO!
THREE!
Jen Brunelli: Here is your winner, and the NNNNEEEEEEWWWWW AXW CHAMPION, DAAAVIIIIID SLAAAAYTOOOON!
Lily Luna: Duncan Aries has been dethroned! We have a new AXW Champion and his name is David Slayton!
Chris Pierce: Prior to tonight, David has had only one shot at the AXW Championship, and it was his first match here back in July of last year, and now he stands before us as the NEW AXW Champion!
"The Phoenix" blares throughout the arena. David Slayton goes to each turnbuckle and raises his newly won AXW Championship high into the air each time, with confetti falling from the rafters. After several minutes of celebration, David exits the ring and heads up the ramp. He stands on the stage and raises the AXW Championship high into the air once more as pyro blasts beside him with the words "New AXW Champion: David Slayton" are on the jumbotron behind him.
Lily Luna: Ladies and gentlemen, we are now in the era of David Slayton! That's all we have for you, tune in next week to AXW: Day of the Dead Edition!
