The instrumental opening of P.O.D.s "Boom" rings through the arena as "Hoochiah" rings through the speakers as Danny De Vries pulls back the curtain and takes a few steps. He stops, stares hard at the ring and looks around at the crowd, then shouts 'D-D-V!' as he pumps his right fist into the air twice and then punches both fists into the air diagonally from his body, holding them in a 'V' shape for a few seconds. De Vries then strolls confidently down to the ring, jogging the last few steps and slides underneath the bottom rope. He bounces up to his feet, punching both fists up again and bouncing on the soles of his feet.

History:
DDV Made his pro wrestling debut in Wyldside Wrestling, graduating from the Wyld Training Academy. He wrestling for Wyldside for a short time, before making the move to Eternity Wrestling in his home town of Boston. DDV proved himself as the workhorse of Eternity in a wicked feud with Ryan Starr, before eventually winning the companies top championship in a feud with Mason Scott. DDV ended his tenure with Eternity as the Eternity Wrestling Champion, taking the championship when the company collapsed and moving with it to TCW in Ohio, where he was recognized as the Eternity Champion, merging his title with the TCW Express Championship. DDV, developing a strong relationship with stars Rex Riot and Ember Garfield. But that relationship ended when Rex turned his back on Ember aligning with Chloe St. Cloud. Their feud lasted longer than TCW, and they brought that feud to EWS. In EWS DDV wrestled on both sides of the Pacific, on the RAGE Brand in America and RSPW in Japan. Winning the Tag and 6 Man Titles in Japan and the Rage High Octane Championship and eventually securing the top championship of the brand in the Rage Heavyweight Championship.
On May 18th 2014, DDV married fellow Wrestler Ember Garfield. On August 30th 2015, Ember gave birth to the couples first child Michael Ellis De Vries.
DDV took time off when his first child was born, then returned to the ring in November 2015. In 2017, DDV officially signed on with the WSW brand of EWS and have a 5 Star Match with Jason Violent for the EWS Unified Undisputed World Heavyweight Championship, coming up short due to outside interference. In March 2017, DDV was brought in as a surprise entrant in the main event of BattleKingdom 9. DDV would go on to win the RSPW International Triple Crown Championship. Meanwhile in WSW, DDV would enter a heated feud with The Toxin!
At Current, DDV has been referred to as the Gate Keeper to the Midcard in EWS. A moniker that De Vries doesn't appreciate. He signed with AXW hoping to find some more creative freedom and prove to the world who he is and what he's got to offer.
